Text recognition using improved dual attention based on textual double embedding network with aquila optimization algorithm

Text recognition is the process that changes an image of text into a system readable text format. Different approaches were suggested related to text detection but the existing methods accuracy is low and error rate is high. Therefore, a text recognition using Improved Dual-attention based on Textual Double Embedding (IDTDE) with aquila optimization algorithm is proposed in this manuscript for effective text recognition. In this method the input image is taken from several datasets. Usually, the images have some kind of noise in it, and to eliminate that, the Structural interval gradient filtering preprocessing technique is used. Then, the ternary pattern and discrete wavelet technique is use to extract best features. Next, residual-based temporal attention convolutional neural network is utilized for the text classification and character identification are effectively attained by and IDTDE network. The Aquila optimization algorithm is used to optimize the network for best extracted text as output. Experimental outcomes demonstrate that the introduced approach accomplishes the high accuracy rates of 98.14%, 98.89%, and 90.47% on the IIIT5K, ICDAR 2013, and ICDAR 2015 datasets, respectively, surpassing the performance of existing frameworks. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Automatic Grammar Error Correction (GEC) models identify and correct a wide range of grammatical errors. Various strategies have been proposed for GEC, with the Neural Machine Translation (NMT) approach being the most effective. However, NMT-based GEC models with encoder-decoder layers rely heavily on the highest layer, leading to potential inaccuracies. Additionally, during inference, exposure bias can cause the model to substitute previously targeted words with incorrect alternatives. Another challenge is data scarcity. This paper introduces a GEC model leveraging the seq-to-seq Transformer framework, specifically designed for low-resource languages like Arabic. We propose a method to generate noise in the text to create synthetic parallel data, addressing the data constraints. Inspired by Capsule Networks (CapsNet), we incorporate CapsNet in GEC to dynamically aggregate information from multiple layers. In order to mitigate exposure bias, we incorporated a bidirectional training approach and a regularization term using Kullback-Leibler divergence to align left-to-right and right-to-left models. Experiments on two benchmarks demonstrate that our model outperforms current Arabic GEC models, achieving the highest scores. Severity of natural calamities and crop yield prediction using hybrid deep learning model in Uttar Pradesh

Crop yield prediction has gained major potential for global food production. Predicting crop yields based on specific parameters like soil, environment, crop, and water has been an interesting research topic in recent decades. To accurately predict crop yields, measuring the severities of natural calamities including water level is mainly required. However, the existing studies failed to predict crop yields accurately because of various issues like overfitting problems, difficulty in training, inability to handle large data, and reduced learning capability. Thus, the proposed study develops an efficient mechanism for accurately predicting crop yields by analyzing several natural calamities. Here, the input samples are initially pre-processed to remove unwanted noises using data normalization and standardization. To enhance the performance of crop yield prediction, natural calamities are computed by using an Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model based on parameters like the Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI), Severe Hail Index (SHI), and Storm Severity Index (SSI). Also, the hyperparameters of XGBoost model are tuned by utilizing Sheep Flock Optimization Algorithm (SFOA). Finally, the crop yield is predicted by proposing a new one-dimensional convolutional gated recurrent unit neural network (1D-CGRU). The proposed classifier predicts the crop yields with reduced error rates like mean square error (MSE) of 0.4363, root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.1904, normalized root mean squared error (NRMSE) of 0.00101, mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.2437, and R-squared (R²) of.2756. Also, the significant findings of the proposed study positively indicate that this study can be applicable to real-time agricultural practices and is highly suitable for water quality predictions. Also, it can assist farmers and farming businesses in predicting the yield of crops in a specific season when to harvest and crop a plant for attaining improved crop yields. © 2024 Policy

Accurate monitoring and assessment are necessary due to the enormous challenges posed by rapid urbanization to sustainable development and resource management. This study utilizes Sentinel-2 satellite images of Moradabad City, located in Uttar Pradesh, India, to analyze urban growth through a machine learning approach. Sentinel-2 imagery is widely used for land cover monitoring, and images from 2017 and 2023 were selected to assess the rapid expansion of urbanization. Various techniques, including SVM, ANN and minimum distance (MD), were employed for land surface classification. Among these, SVM produced the most reliable results for estimating urban areas, based on both the Kappa coefficient (Kc) and overall accuracy (O.A.). The SVM estimates that in 2017 about 8.308% of the region was classified as an urban area, and from 2023 that number had increased to about 11.64%, which could be a serious concern for Moradabad city's residents. The motivation behind this study to explore the potential applications of machine learning methods for small-scale urban dynamics monitoring and analysis through satellite image analysis. The research advances knowledge of urbanization processes and offers insightful advice for sustainable urban growth in quickly expanding places. © 2024 IEEE.

In this study, the performance and emissions of Al2O3 alkaline cottonseed biodiesel-powered compression ignition engines were predicted. An experiment was conducted using different biodiesel blends made from cottonseed oil under various loading conditions. Biodiesel was produced using ethanol and Cao-mg/Al2O3 as catalysts through the transesterification process and blended with diesel to produce CBDN10, CBDN20, CBDN30, and CBDN40. The CBDN20 blends showed an evident reduction in fuel consumption by 8% and a 12% improvement in thermal efficiency at high static thrust. The use of these blends resulted in minimal CO, CO2, and NOx emissions from engines. These emissions were monitored by an IoT system and analysed with gas analysers, which revealed CBDN20’s ability to reduce nitrogen oxide and hydrocarbon emissions compared to diesel. Additionally, CBDN20 demonstrated improved thermal efficiency and reduced brake-specific fuel consumption compared to the other blends. Copyright © 2024 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Public safety and other sectors are paying more and more attention to uncrewed aerial vehicle ( UA V) identification as UAVs become more commonplace in commercial and industrial settings. Methods for object detection by UAVs are progressing rapidly, too. Nevertheless, researchers still need to overcome substantial obstacles in this field because of the tiny size of drones, complicated airspace backdrops, and fluctuating light conditions. Addressing these issues, this work suggests a small UAV detection approach that utilizes the improved YOLOv8. The first step is to upgrade the device's recognition capabilities for small marks by addition a high-resolution recognition head According to the study, the YOLOv8 network's large target prediction layer, feature extraction, and fusion layers are eliminated. Only four, eight, or sixteen-sampled feature maps are stored for UAV prediction. the upgraded network architecture, which feeds feature maps from the third C2f layer straight into SPPF for multi-scale feature extraction using 16-times down-sampling. After leaving the Upsample-ConcatC2f module, fused feature maps are immediately attached to the next component. Our approach boosts performance compared to the baseline model by 11.9% for accuracy, 15.2% for recall, and 9% for mean average precision (MAP). The model size is decreased by 57.9%, and the number of limits is decreased by 60%. Also, our approach is better suited for engineering deployment and real-world UAV object recognition system applications, and it shows apparent benefits in comparative studies and experiments using self-built datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Customizing radiation treatments for each patient is a formidable obstacle in the fight against cancer. Because they rely on human intervention and generalization, traditional methods often provide less-than-ideal results and unwanted side effects. Utilizing patient-specific anatomical and tumor-specific data, this research analyzes the revolutionary possibilities of machine learning for planning radiation therapy. The goal of this research work is to forecast radiation doses, identify tumor boundaries, and reduce the exposure to healthy tissue using Deep Learning (DL), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest (RF) models. Radiation planners must prioritize data heterogeneity, model interpretability, and clinical validation if machine learning has to be widely used. Improved patient outcomes and quality of life may be achieved via the use of Machine Learning (ML) to improve the radiation efficacy and accuracy, as shown in this research study that synthesizes existing research. © 2024 IEEE.

In the rapidly changing field of pharmaceutical development, it is crucial to speed up clinical trials in order to introduce effective drugs in a timely manner. Conventional methods of forecasting molecular characteristics are often slow and time consuming, causing difficulties in the drug discovery process. However, Advancements in deep learning have streamlined pharmaceutical testing, enabling precise prediction of key drug properties like solubility, toxicity, reactivity, and bioactivity before synthesis. By employing different Simplified Molecular Input Line Entry System (SMILES) representations and training them with various deep learning algorithms like Graph Neural Networks (GNN) and Graph Convolution Networks (GCN). In this, a comparative study done on various technologies used in predicting molecular properties that helps to develop faster clinical trials in pharmaceutical industry. By identifying the limitations in the existing technologies, proposed an improved GCN which helps in better estimation of molecular properties. © 2024 IEEE.

Traffic congestion is one of the most common problems in the transportation system. In urban planning and construction, traffic congestion increases the difficulty of control and scheduling, hindering the pace of urban modernization development. The development of intelligent transportation systems has to some extent solved these problems, among which traffic flow prediction is particularly crucial. A period processing layer containing concatenation, dimension amplification, and diffusion convolution was studied and designed. On the grounds of this, a graph neural network prediction model combining spatiotemporal period characteristics was designed. And it further introduced a traffic flow prediction method on the grounds of dynamic topology maps. This model combined adaptive topology generation and parameter learning mechanisms, synchronously processing the complex correlation of traffic data and the heterogeneity between nodes through gated recurrent neural networks. The outcomes indicated that the research model is more excellent than other graph learning methods in three evaluation indicators: Mean square error, mean absolute percentage error, and root mean square error. Their values were 15.63%, 9.87%, and 25.08%, respectively. The evaluation on all four datasets showed excellent performance of the research model, confirming the effectiveness of its adaptive topology and parameter learning strategy. This study had important practical significance for improving the traffic management system, alleviating traffic pressure, and enhancing the travel experience of urban residents. © 2024, Aracne Editrice.
