Software development companies commonly use Global Software Development (GSD) in their industry. A competent Scrum team supports the success of the GSD project. This research aims to identify the game components in the form of types, elements, and technologies that contribute to building experience for the Scrum team in a GSD environment. We used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the Kitchenham and snowball method. From the 12 papers, we concluded that none of the games specifically focused on the competence of the Scrum team at GSD. The SLR results also identify ten game elements and technologies as a reference for game development to meet the challenges in GSD. The conclusion is that there are still great opportunities to develop a game that can improve the competence of the GSD Scrum team. Game development should refer to elements and identified technologies. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents a comparative analysis of the application of Variational Autoencoders (VAE) and Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Networks (WGAN) for detecting anomalous images. The performance evaluation of the models is conducted using metrics such as AUC, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. The results indicate that VAEs provide high Recall in anomaly detection but with low Precision, whereas WGANs demonstrate more balanced results with fewer false positives. Recommendations are proposed for selecting an appropriate model depending on the specific task requirements and the need to minimize false alarms or achieve high detection completeness. © 2024 IEEE.

Approximate EFX and Exact tEFX Allocations for Indivisible Chores: Improved Algorithms

We explore the fair distribution of a set of m indivisible chores among n agents, where each agent’s costs are evaluated using a monotone cost function. Our focus lies on two fairness criteria: envy-freeness up to any item (EFX) and a relaxed notion, namely envy-freeness up to the transfer of any item (tEFX). We demonstrate that a 2-approximate EFX allocation exists and is computable in_polynomial time for three agents with subadditive cost functions, improving upon the previous (2 + √6) approximation for additive cost functions. This result requires extensive case analysis. Christoforidis and Santorinaios (2024) independently claim the same approximation for additive cost functions;however, we provide a counter-example to their algorithm. We expand the number of agents to any number to get the same approximation guarantee with the assumption of partially identical ordering (IDO) for the cost functions. Additionally, we establish that a tEFX allocation is achievable for three agents if one has an additive 2-ratio bounded cost function, while the others may have general monotone cost functions. This is an improvement from the prior requirement of two agents with additive 2-ratio bounded cost functions. This allocation can also be extended to agent groups with identical valuations. Further, we show various analyses of EFX allocations for chores, such as the relaxations for additive α-ratio-bounded cost functions. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

With the increase in the Telecom industry, service providers are more attentive toward the action of becoming larger or more extensive to the subscriber base. For surviving in telecom companies, the continued possession of holding customers must be a big challenge. According to consideration in the telecom environment, the market price of obtaining the new purchaser is more than holding the existing purchaser. Through collecting knowledge from the telecom industry to analyze the association of the customer whether will leave or not the company. Such types of the Decision tree and Logistic regression model have been compared on the 3334 instances of the dataset. The classification model derived from logistic regression has an accuracy of 80% and the decision tree classifier with an accuracy of 97%. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper describes an efficient unsupervised learning method for a neural source separation model that utilizes a probabilistic generative model of observed multichannel mixtures proposed for blind source separation (BSS). For this purpose, amortized variational inference (AVI) has been used for directly solving the inverse problem of BSS with full-rank spatial covariance analysis (FCA). Although this unsupervised technique called neural FCA is in principle free from the domain mismatch problem, it is computationally demanding due to the full rankness of the spatial model in exchange for robustness against relatively short reverberations. To reduce the model complexity without sacrificing performance, we propose neural FastFCA based on the jointly-diagonalizable yet full-rank spatial model. Our neural separation model introduced for AVI alternately performs neural network blocks and single steps of an efficient iterative algorithm called iterative source steering. This alternating architecture enables the separation model to quickly separate the mixture spectrogram by leveraging both the deep neural network and the multichannel optimization algorithm. The training objective with AVI is derived to maximize the marginalized likelihood of the observed mixtures. The experiment using mixture signals of two to four sound sources shows that neural FastFCA outperforms conventional BSS methods and reduces the computational time to about 2 % of that for the neural FCA. © 2023 European Signal Processing Conference, EUSIPCO. The field of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is now being duly recognized as a revolutionary area in industrial automation. With the budding interest of knowledge discovery that helps the businesses in applying technology on a large scale, researchers are now faced with several major security concerns. Blockchain integration is one of the suggested applications of technology that could help secure the data during transmission, storage, and knowledge discovery. Moreover, by integrating smart contracts, a secure architecture could also assimilate accountability during data exchange. Thus, we propose a four-layer security architecture that isolates IIoT devices from user-oriented layers and maintains a record of all IIoT devices registered in the organization to prevent malicious devices from corrupting the database and discovery process. Further, by choosing proof of authority (PoA), we ensure the fair functioning of the Blockchain nodes. Through proxy re-encryption for clients, PoA consensus for Blockchain nodes, and Whitelist-based access control for IIoT Devices, we ensure the legitimacy of all participating nodes. We also implement a prototype using a private Ethereum network with proof of authority consensus and present the time taken for the entire exchange and the gas (ethereum currency) consumed per exchange by the contracts. Also we implemented the secure knowledge discovery to understand the significance of the developed scheme. The results show that the exchange can be implemented in an IIoT environment and work with a reasonable amount of resource consumption.

In recent years snake and insect attacks have become a huge problem worldwide. Most species have similar colors and shapes, which makes it hard to tell them apart using typical techniques. Similarly, identifying different species of bees and wasps can be challenging, especially for non-experts in the field. Therefore, developing a reliable and effective method for recognizing these animals is essential to reducing the issues caused by snake and insect attacks and supporting wildlife conservation efforts. The proposed method in this research utilizes deep ensemble learning and transfer learning techniques to identify snakes, wasps, and bees accurately. Deep ensemble learning involves combining several machine learning models to make better predictions, and transfer learning is a technique that allows pre-trained models to be re-used for new tasks, saving time and computational resources. The proposed method utilizes deep ensemble learning and uses three base transfer learning models, DenseNet201, MobileN etV2, and InceptionResN etV2, for classification. The study obtained a training accuracy of 93%. The research classified 11 types of snakes, four types of bees, and four types of wasps, including all 19 classes. Moreover, the author developed a mobile application for user interaction and utilized Flask API for the logic tier. The mobile application enables users to take pictures or upload images of a snake, wasp, or bee and identify the species accurately. This feature makes the proposed method more accessible to people who encounter these animals daily. Overall, this research represents a promising step towards developing an accurate and effective system for identifying snakes, wasps, and bees, with practical implications for human safety and biodiversity conservation.

Quantum computing is progressing at a fast rate and there is a real threat that classical cryptographic methods can be compromised and therefore impact the security of blockchain networks. All of the ways used to secure blockchain like Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Secure Hash Algorithm 256-bit (SHA256) are the characteristic of the traditional cryptographic techniques vulnerable to attack by quantum algorithms: Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms: can efficiently break asymmetric encryption and speed up brute force attacks. Because of this vulnerability, there exists a need to develop an advance quantum resilient blockchain framework to protect the decentralized ledgers from the future threats of the quantum. This research proposes Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG) as a formidable architectural integration, to fortify security of blockchain. Classical encryption is replaced with PQC, QKD with secure key exchange by detecting eavesdropping, and QRNG with improving cryptographic randomness to remove the predictable key vulnerability. Only with a small loss of transaction efficiency, we increase transaction encryption accuracy, key exchange security, and resistance to quantum attacks. In this quantum enhanced blockchain design, the idea is to preserve the decentralization, transparency and security and at the same time overcome the future quantum threat. By going through rigorous analysis and comparative evaluation, we demonstrate that the approach saves blockchain networks from the emerging quantum risks to make sure that the decentralized finance, smart contracts and cross chain transactions. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization).
