The stable network has now become a prerequisite for every relationship. The security hazards are expanding and rendering wired/remote organizations and Internet providers fast, shaky and problematic. Today, safety efforts are all the more important in meeting the cutting edge demands of current emerging businesses. The need is also discussed in areas such as guards, where the key points of concern are safe and checked admission of properties identified with data security. In this paper, the author described the important measures and limits for the establishment of a secure organization with regard to enormous industry / authoritative needs. In providing remote organization access to different assets and interfacing various gadgets remotely, Wi-Fi networks are extremely basic. To deal with Wi-Fi hazards and organizational hacking attempts, different prerequisites are required. This article discusses important protection efforts identified with different organizational conditions, so that an association may be set up with a fully assured organizational environment. Online Social Networks (OSNs) have become integral platforms for information sharing, attracting both legitimate users and spammers. Detecting and mitigating spam within these networks pose significant challenges due to the dynamic nature of content and user behavior. In this paper, we present a comprehensive comparative analysis of algorithms for tweet analysis, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) models. We evaluate these algorithms through sentiment analysis and multiple attribute analysis, utilizing diverse methodologies and datasets. Our study explores feed-forward neural networks, Bayesian classifiers, and transformer-based models for NLP tasks, achieving high prediction accuracy and insightful metrics such as precision, recall, and F1 score. Furthermore, we delve into multiple attribute analysis using Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Gradient Boosting algorithms. Through a systematic exploration of various approaches, this work contributes to a deeper understanding of spam detection and sentiment analysis within the context of OSNs, paving the way for enhanced social network security and content analysis.

The downlink channel estimation is currently a critical bottleneck for IRS-assisted cell-free multiple input multiple output communication. Conventionally, most studies have employed deep learning methods to estimate the high-dimensional, complex cascaded channels generated by IRS, necessitating data collection from all users for centralized model training, which results in excessively large overheads, and data privacy problems. To tackle this challenge, a federated learning (FL)-based channel estimation framework incorporates coalition formation to guide the formation of FL user groups. We propose a coalition formation-enabled federated learning framework for channel estimation, utilizing a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) approach to intelligently group users into multiple coalitions, thereby improving channel estimation accuracy. Moreover, considering that nodes with similar distances to the base station and similar received signal power have a strong likelihood that they experience similar channel fading, we designed a transfer learning method that incorporates both received reference signal power and distance similarity metrics. The transfer learning technique is designed to accelerate the convergence of DRL-federated learning process. Simulations reveal that the proposed algorithms significantly reduce communication overhead for local users and improve data privacy while maintaining commendable channel estimation accuracy. © 2025 IEEE.

A lightweight general PUF framework for resisting machine learning attacks

Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) is an attractive and low-cost security primitive that requires no storage and is resistant to reverse engineering. However, classical PUFs are highly vulnerable to machine learning attacks, and most attempts to resist these attacks consume excessive resources. To address this challenge, a lightweight general PUF framework is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the framework adopts segmentation processing to introduce structural nonlinearities for the purpose of self-protection. Secondly, the pre-segment response, pre-segment challenges and post-segment challenges undergo XOR processing to introduce challenges obfuscation, which greatly enhances the machine learning resistance of the PUF. In addition, for configurable RO PUF, a novel MUX-based RO (called MRO) is proposed in this paper, which can save resources by 50 %. Implementing a two-segment MRO-MRO instance based on the proposed PUF framework results in reliability, uniformity, and uniqueness that are close to the ideal values. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed PUF has the advantages of scalable framework, low resource overhead, and strong resistance to machine learning attacks. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Digital twin assisted workpiece referencing for compensating the stock deviation of casted parts

Stock deviation of casted parts needs to be handled by adapting the CNC machining code to every new batch. Usually, human experts deal with this workpiece referencing task, but the demand for automation is expressed by the industry. This paper introduces a Digital Twin (DT) supported workpiece referencing method, implemented in the following steps: building the DT of the CNC machining cell, loading measurements of the casted part into the DT, solving the workpiece referencing problem as a convex optimization problem, and generating the compensated CNC code. The proposed approach is illustrated in a case study from the automotive industry.

Vision language models (VLMs) have demonstrated strong general capabilities and achieved great success in areas such as image understanding and reasoning. Visual prompts enhance the focus of VLMs on designated areas, but their fine-grained grounding has not been fully developed. Recent research has used Set-of-Mark (SoM) approach to unleash the grounding capabilities of Generative Pre-trained Transformer-4 with Vision (GPT-4V), achieving significant benchmark performance. However, SoM still has problems with label offset and hallucination of vision language models, and the grounding ability of VLMs remains limited, making it challenging to handle complex scenarios in human-robot interaction. To address these limitations and provide more accurate and less hallucinatory results, we propose Contextual Set-of-Mark (ConSoM), a new SoM-based prompting mechanism that leverages dual-image inputs and contextual semantic information of images. Experiments demonstrate that ConSoM has distinct advantages in visual grounding, improving by 11% compared to the baseline on the dataset Refcocog. Furthermore, we evaluated ConSoM’s grounding abilities in five indoor scenarios, where it exhibited strong robustness in complex environments and under occlusion conditions. We also introduced a scalable annotation method for pixel-level question-answering dataset. The accuracy, scalability, and depth of world knowledge make ConSoM a highly effective approach for future human-robot interactions. © 2016 IEEE.

Concurrent with the rise of real-time wireless systems enabled by the Internet of Things, the age of information (AoI) has been widely perceived as a crucial destination-centric performance metric to quantify the timeliness of data delivery. This paper deals with the analysis of information freshness in a multi-source M/G/1 queueing system with utilization of idle server time, referred to as server vacation, in an effective manner. In particular, the status update packets in our model are generated independently by a finite set of source nodes and according to a Poisson process, while their service time follows a general random variable. Using stochastic decomposition and the Laplace-Stieltjes transform, we derive the average AoI (AAoI) expression for the multi-source M/G/1 queueing model with generally-distributed vacation time in closed form. Our numerical simulations validate the accuracy of the derived AAoI expression and assess the impact of different parameters on the system performance.

As blockchain technology has already become a critical priority for enterprises, it is acknowledged that it might be as much important as to reform and reconstruct businesses in the near future. In this paper we review the strengths and weaknesses of the blockchain technology, and present an example application in supply chain management. We start by presenting the key characteristics of the blockchain technology, and then summarize its advantages and vulnerabilities. We also describe some of the existing solutions to known vulnerabilities. Finally, we review and discuss in detail the example of a decentralized application for the supply chain of a frozen food factory. This includes a scenario presenting the implementation of this solution, the steps for the development of the idea, and the constraints of the requirements. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, we study the intricate realm of digital twin synchronization and deployment in multi-access edge computing (MEC) networks, with the aim of optimizing and balancing the two performance metrics Age of Information (AoI) and energy efficiency. We jointly consider the problems of edge association, power allocation, and digital twin deployment. However, the inherent randomness of the problem presents a significant challenge in identifying an optimal solution. To address this, we first analyze the feasibility conditions of the optimization problem. We then examine a specific scenario involving a static channel and propose a cyclic scheduling scheme. This enables us to derive the sum AoI in closed form. As a result, the joint optimization problem of edge association and power control is solved optimally by finding a minimum weight perfect matching. Moreover, we examine the one-shot optimization problem in the contexts of both frequent digital twin migrations and fixed digital twin deployments, and propose an efficient online algorithm to address the general optimization problem. This algorithm effectively reduces system costs by balancing frequent migrations and fixed deployments. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme in terms of low cost and high efficiency.
