Ancient books that record the history of different periods are precious for human *** the protection of them is facing serious problems such as *** is significant to repair the damaged characters in ancient books and restore their original *** requirement of the restoration of the damaged character is keeping the stroke shape correct and the font style *** order to solve these problems,this paper proposes a new restoration method based on generative adversarial *** use the shape restoration network to complete the stroke shape recovery and the font style *** texture repair network is responsible for reconstructing texture *** order to improve the accuracy of the generator in the shape restoration network,we use the adversarial feature loss(AFL),which can update the generator and discriminator synchronously to replace the traditional perceptual ***,the font style loss is proposed to maintain the stylistic consistency for the whole *** model is evaluated on the datasets Yi and Qing,and shows that it outperforms current state-of-the-art techniques quantitatively and *** particular,the Structural Similarity has increased by 8.0%and 6.7%respectively on the two datasets.

Mathematical model of an asynchronous electric drive of an electric vehicle was built. The mathematical model of the mechanical part was built taking into account the possibility of modeling the slipping of each of the driving wheels separately with different coefficients of adhesion. A simplified model (plant model) was built, neural network parameters were chosen, such as the number of hidden layers, discretization, the number of samples and the number of epochs for training the neural network. The neural network was trained taking into account the linearized plant model, which reflects the qualitative form of real processes in the system. The analysis of the received results of network training has been carried out. The simulation of the system operation without slipping and with slipping of one of the wheels was carried out. The simulation results are compared with the mistake obtained during the training of the neural network, namely, the discrepancy between output and input signals. © 2022 IEEE.

A mathematical model has been elaborated to determine the optimal structure of multilevel hierarchical asymmetric branched computer networks and the appropriate software has been developed. In the presented case study on the example of a star topology with a selected main element and given characteristics of the elements' reliability, the optimal structure of the connection of workstations to the hubs was selected. © 2021 IEEE.

Cloud computing is a popular technology that offers virtualized computer resources based on the internet. The performance utilization of the cloud resources depends mainly on the load-balanced resource allocation schemes. Load balancing is the distribution of the dynamic workload among cloud resources maintaining the load shares onto resources to ensure that no resource is overloaded or underloaded. Therefore, an efficient load-balancing strategy improves services and resource utilization. In this paper, an artificial gorilla troop optimization (GTO) based metaheuristic is proposed for load balancing of workflow tasks onto VMs in cloud systems. This method mimics the social behavior of the group of gorillas. The experimental results exhibit the superior performance of GTO on resource utilization than the PSO algorithm for the same objective and environment. © 2024 IEEE.

The accuracy of solar cell models is crucial for enhancing the performance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. However, existing solar cell models lack precise parameters, and the manufacturer's datasheet does not provide the required information for reliable modeling. Consequently, accurate parameter estimation becomes necessary. This paper presents a simple multi-objective optimization algorithm (Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization and Rat Search Algorithm (PSORSA)) designed to estimate cell parameters based on this observation. Unlike other optimization algorithms addressing this issue, the proposed algorithm aims to overcome challenges related to local minima and premature convergence, which often lead to suboptimal results. The paper focuses on assessing the reliability of the proposed algorithm by comparing its performance with other well-known optimization algorithms. The proposed optimizing algorithm is tested on the CEC 2019 benchmark function. Experimental results (RMSE), including statistical analysis, validate the algorithm's effectiveness by comparing them with other algorithms. At the end, non-parametric test is performed to justify the outcomes, vouching for the better performance of the proposed algorithm. The findings demonstrate that the proposed algorithms are particularly well-suited for estimating solar PV models. With its simple structure and high accuracy, the proposed algorithm exhibits great potential for various applications in the field of solar energy. Moreover, its computational efficiency and ease of implementation further contribute to its practicality. © The Author(s) 2024.

The growing adoption of 5G private networks has significantly enhanced industries such as smart factories, autonomous vehicles, and smart homes, thanks to their high-speed data transmission, low latency, and support for large-scale device connectivity. These networks have driven advancements in real-time monitoring and process automation, boosting productivity and efficiency while reducing costs. However, the deployment of 5G private networks has also introduced various security challenges, particularly with the emergence of AI-driven technologies. This paper discusses these challenges, focusing on the design and implementation of a 5G security testbed to validate AI solutions within such environments. Key security threats associated with 5G private networks include the exploitation of AI and generative AI for sophisticated phishing and spoofing attacks, the hacking of autonomous vehicles and smart homes that can compromise both safety and privacy, and security breaches in AI-based smart factory systems, which could lead to operational disruptions and economic losses. These risks emphasize the need for proactive countermeasures to ensure the integrity and security of 5G private networks. This paper verifies the security of AI-based applications implemented through a testbed using Nokia's 5G network system and provides the necessary configurations for the stable deployment of AI-based service solutions.

The 5G network is infrastructure that can be supported by extending the mobile speed of UE supported from 350 km/h in the existing 4G network environment to 500 km/h. The 5G network has to support the fast movement speed of UE. 3GPP-based handover has a problem in that it cannot guarantee QoS for the mobility of some UEs as it provides UE based handover in a single environment that does not consider the network service environment with various movement speeds of UE. In this paper, an adaptive handover scheme is proposed to the cell located to the moving direction by determining and triggering the handover time according to the individual speed of UE to ensure the QoS according to the UE's seamless service and movement between cells. In simulation test to verify the proposed scheme compared with existing handover scheme based on 3GPP, the proposed scheme shows excellent performance in handover failure and data transmission for UE with a fast movement speed. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents the design and implementation of a 5G security testbed based on Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). As 5G networks offer ultra-high speeds, low latency, and massive connectivity, ensuring their security has become a critical challenge, especially with the distributed nature and numerous connected devices. Traditional perimeter-based security models are no longer sufficient. Therefore, Zero Trust Architecture, which continuously verifies and monitors all resources and users regardless of their location, has been proposed as a solution. In this study, we propose a comprehensive security management system by integrating ZTA into a 5G testbed, focusing on real-time monitoring and dynamic policy enforcement using data collected from the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) and User Plane Function (UPF). The testbed's effectiveness is demonstrated through the deployment of Nokia's network equipment, allowing the collection and analysis of high-resolution traffic data, which aids in early threat detection and response. The proposed system enhances 5G network security and offers significant potential for application across various industries.

5G SA communication technology is being recognized as a crucial technology shaping the future of wireless communication. Compared to previous generations of networks, 5G offers ultra-high-speed, low latency, and massive connectivity, presenting both enterprises and individual users with opportunities for new business models and an enhanced quality of life. One of the most significant changes between the conventional mobile communication environment and 5G is the activation of various application cases in B2B services based on the local 5G network. The local 5G network, tailored to specific sites, requires effective management of high-volume data generated in dense areas and necessitates minimizing manual intervention by administrators. The ZSM (Zero-touch Service Management) technology is gaining attention to meet these requirements. ZSM focuses on automated operations for managing large systems like commercial mobile communication networks. It is anticipated that ZSM will also be applied to the local 5G network for efficient management and operation of tailored services. This paper proposes a network management technique that minimizes administrator intervention in the local 5G network environment. The proposed network management technique collects statistical logs from local 5G network base stations and core systems, supports real-time network status checks as well as traffic predictions using machine learning. Additionally, it offers automated operation techniques for the local 5G network by incorporating functions such as disconnecting network access for devices that are factors of malfunction within the specialized network.

This paper investigates the technology for selecting communication scheme based on the amount of traffic in LTE-M (Marine) and 5G communication environments. Recently, it has been possible to use LTE-M and 5G communications for preventing collisions between ships and obstacles in coastal areas, moving from a focus on terrestrial users. This paper proposes a scheme for efficiently handling both small-scale and large-volume traffic generated from terminals on ships. LTE-M can accommodate more terminals by utilizing the wide coverage of coastal areas, but it can be vulnerable to high-volume video processing for real-time obstacle detection. 5G provides a high data transmission rate and low latency, making it suitable for large data exchanges between ships or real-time services, but its short coverage makes it unsuitable for accommodating a wide area. Therefore, this paper proposes a scheme for dynamically selecting LTE-M or 5G communication schemes according to the amount of data generated by terminals on ships, to transmit data. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to decide which communication scheme, LTE-M or 5G, should be chosen based on the amount and type of traffic. The algorithm dynamically selects the optimal communication scheme considering real-time traffic information and network status. By implementing a simulation environment for coastal areas using the technique proposed in this paper, we compare the scheme where terminals installed on ships selectively use LTE-M and 5G communication schemes with the scheme where two communication schemes are chosen randomly for transmission. The simulation results confirm that the proposed technique can process more data compared to the existing schemes.
