Due to the lack of accurate stability theoretical basis, the dynamic balance control of bipedal robots is a challenging topic. In this paper, we propose a controller that combines virtual model control and whole body control. In our framework, the whole system is simplified into a spring inverted pendulum model. Decoupling control is carried out for this model, and a virtual model is introduced to establish the relationship between the joint torque of the support leg and the state of the center of mass. The distribution of reaction force is obtained through decoupling closed-loop control. The whole body control part first uses multi task whole body control to determine the kinematics information, and then solves the joint feedforward torque through dynamical model, thus obtaining the desired force position hybrid control. Proposed algorithm improved the problem of incomplete decoupling between states and increased the stiffness of the support leg. The newly designed control framework was tested in Simscape dynamic simulation and verified the anti-interference ability and fast walking ability of Whole Body Balance Control for bipedal robots based on Virtual Model Control. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among female diseases. Since the classification accuracy of pathological images is crucial to the diagnosis of breast cancer, in order to reduce the error of manual diagnosis and improve the automatic classification accuracy of pathological images, this paper proposes a high-accuracy breast cancer classification method based on multi-scale attention mechanism enhanced Res2Net. By constructing a multi-channel residual connection in the residual block, and introducing a convolutional attention mechanism to enhance the feature extraction ability of Res2Net, and using group convolution to replace part of the ordinary convolution. In addition, since the channel information interaction across groups cannot be realized in the group convolution, which reduces the feature extraction ability. In this paper, the channel shuffling operation is used to reorganize the feature maps after the group convolution to achieve the information interaction between different groups. The evaluation results on the BreaKHis dataset show that, the accuracy and precision of the method in this paper have reached 98.5% and 98.9% respectively, in binary classification of histopathological images compared with the benchmark method, and the advantages of recall rate and F1 value are also more obvious. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Due to the requirement of country development, geological surveys must be developed from shallow to deep. Correspondingly, the output power of transient electromagnetic method (TEM) transmitter devices, the necessary power electronic equipment in the geological survey, has to be increased. However, in the process of improving output power, the reactive power of the load occupies a large portion of the output power. Then, this part of reactive power should be compensated by the impedance matching device. The biggest difference of impedance matching devices in the geological survey is the operating environment. The operating environment is under square nonlinear current. The square nonlinear current can be decomposed into a sum of several different frequency harmonics. Previously, almost all impedance matching devices are designed to compensate for the reactive power under a single frequency. There is seldom research to tell the users the method of how to match the several impedances under a sum of several different frequency harmonics. Thus, this paper proposed a topology to match impedance in nonlinear current environments first. Then, a design method is proposed to optimize the topology parameters for better performance. At last, a comparative simulation is given to tell the advantages of the proposed topology and its design method.

This work presents a safe and efficient methodology for autonomous indoor exploration with aerial robots using Harmonic Potential Fields (HPF). The challenge of applying HPF in complex 3D environments rests on high computational load involved in solving the Laplace equation. To address this issue, the proposed solution utilizes the Fast Multiple accelerated Boundary Element Method with boundary values controlled to ensure both safety and convergence. The methodology is validated through simulations that demonstrate its efficiency, safety and convergence. © 2023, CC BY.

The metaverse, constructed through digital technology, serves as a virtual realm intertwining with reality. Within this context, the challenge of evaluating data from diverse sources arises, and the application of large-scale group decision-making (LSGDM) methods emerges as a viable solution. Handling incomplete information and reducing dimensionality for large-scale decision-makers (DMs) is crucial in addressing complex decision-making problems. Moreover, addressing missing data is a fundamental and pivotal concern in tackling real-world decision challenges, given the ubiquitous presence of information gaps that cannot be straightforwardly integrated into decision models. Besides, the intricacies of LSGDM amplify this challenge by introducing a wealth of DMs, thereby augmenting the complexity and diversity of decision-related information. This paper proposes an approach to supplement missing data by double-dimensions. This paper explores various facets of similarity relationships within the data to enhance data completeness. Additionally, this paper categorizes DMs into clusters based on their relevance and establishes a two-stage consensus-reaching process (CRP) that takes into account both group sizes and individual consensus contributions. These CRPs play a crucial role in enhancing the overall consistency and consensus within the decision group. Subsequently, this paper applies a robust decision-making method rooted in MULTIMOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis plus the complete MULTIplicative form) to rank decision objects. Finally, this paper employs this proposed methodology in a practical case study that involves evaluating the operational status of a metaverse's urban construction metro system. Following these considerations, a comprehensive stability analysis of relevant parameters is conducted to guarantee the robustness and reliability of the decision-making process. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

Currently, rapid and accurate prediction of targeting expression of a fluorescent protein tagged fusion protein remains a great challenge. Molecular docking simulation methods have been widely used to predict molecular binding targets in previous studies. However, these prediction methods rely on the existing protein structures and prior structural predictions, leading to an unsatisfied accuracy. Here, we combined Alphafold2 with molecular docking simulations to predict the targeting effect of fluorescent proteins EGFP or mCherry fused to cytoskeleton protein. The prediction results showed that the fusion of mCherry with β-actin did not affect its expression in the cytoskeleton. In contrast, the fusion of EGFP with β-actin inhibited its efficient participation in cytoskeleton formation. Subsequently, the corresponding β-actin-mCherry and β-actin-EGFP expression vectors were constructed and transfected into cells. The transfected cells were then observed under a confocal microscope. Imaging results showed that β-actin-mCherry participated in the construction of the cytoskeleton, while β-actin-EGFP dispersed in the cytoplasm. This work demonstrated a method to predict whether the fusion of fluorescent protein with a target protein will affect its original targeting function, providing a new approach to optimize the design of fusion proteins. © 2025 SPIE.

Photonic integrated circuits (PICs) offer ultra-broad optical bandwidths that enable unprecedented data throughputs for signal processing applications. Dynamic reconfigurability enables compensation of fabrication flaws and fluctuating external environments, tuning for adaptive equalization and training of optical neural networks. The initial step in PIC reconfiguration entails measuring its dynamic performance, often described by its frequency response. While measuring the amplitude response is straightforward, e.g. using a tunable laser and optical power meter, measuring the phase response presents challenges due to various factors, including phase variations in test connections and instrumentation limitations. To address these challenges, a universal and robust characterization technique is proposed, which uses an on-chip reference path coupled to the signal processing core (SPC), with a delay larger or smaller than the total delay across the signal processing paths. A Fourier transform of the chip's power response reveals the SPC's impulse response. The method is more robust against low reference-path power and imprecise delays. Experiments using a finite-impulse-response (FIR) structure demonstrate rapid SPC training, overcoming thermal crosstalk and device imperfections. This approach offers a promising solution for PIC characterization, facilitating expedited physical parameter training for advanced applications in communications and optical neural networks.
