This paper focuses on the quadratic nonfragile filtering problem for linear non-Gaussian systems under multiplicative noises,multiple missing measurements as well as the dynamic event-triggered transmission *** multiple missing measurements are characterized through random variables that obey some given probability distributions,and thresholds of the dynamic event-triggered scheme can be adjusted dynamically via an auxiliary *** attention is concentrated on designing a dynamic event-triggered quadratic nonfragile filter in the well-known minimum-variance *** this end,the original system is first augmented by stacking its state/measurement vectors together with second-order Kronecker powers,thus the original design issue is reformulated as that of the augmented ***,we analyze statistical properties of augmented noises as well as high-order moments of certain random *** the aid of two well-defined matrix difference equations,we not only obtain upper bounds on filtering error covariances,but also minimize those bounds via carefully designing gain ***,an example is presented to explain the effectiveness of this newly established quadratic filtering algorithm.

This work analyzes the possibility of reducing the energy consumption of digital-to-analog converters by minimizing the energy consumption of the elements that ensure their operation. Due to the fact that such decisions can lead to an increase in the temperature and time drift of the output voltage of the digital-to-analog converter, a method of its in-situ calibration during operation is proposed. The method also allows carrying out calibration of high-speed analog-digital converters.

Toward Enhancing Cross-Lingual Domain Knowledge Sharing and Transferring for Multilingual Domain Adaptation in NMT

Multilingual Neural Machine Translation (NMT) excels in sharing knowledge across languages and transferring insights from high-resource languages to improve performance in low-resource languages. However, its performance lags in specific domains such as legal and medical. Previous works have focused on adding language-specific and domain-specific adapters to achieve domain adaptation. Although effective, these adapter-based methods only use domain data to train additional parameters, limiting the performance of multilingual NMT. In this paper, we propose CDSTX, a novel approach that achieves robust multilingual domain adaptation without relying on adapters, solely leveraging multilingual models. Specifically, we utilize the pretrained model XLM-R and frozen embeddings to preserve its robust multilingual capabilities and design a two-stage training strategy for domain adaptation. This includes separate training for the decoder and fine-tuning of the entire model, ensuring that the model effectively acquires domain knowledge and correctly represents domain-specific text. Moreover, to better utilize the domain information conveyed implicitly by the training data, we devise special domain tokens at the beginning of the source and target sentences called Source&Target Domain Tags. In addition, back translation is employed to enhance the cross-lingual transfer ability of our approach. Our proposed method is evaluated on two datasets across three translation tasks: Single-domain Multilingual NMT, Multi-domain bilingual NMT, and Multilingual Multi-domain NMT. Notably, in the single-domain multilingual NMT task, CDSTX significantly enhances zero-shot domain translation performance, achieving improvements of up to +30 BLEU points through the utilization of back-translation techniques. This paper presents a real-time power split strategy for a battery-supercapacitor hybrid energy storage system. The objective of the proposed strategy is to alleviate battery degradation through effective supercapacitor utilization. The proposed strategy employs an adaptive neural fuzzy inference system, which is capable of learning a power split strategy from offline optimization results and distributing power in real-time. The performance of the strategy proposed and a low pass filtering technique is compared through simulations. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively reduce battery capacity loss and perform well under unknown driving cycles in real time. © 2023 IEEE.

The technology of reconfigurable optical networks (RONs) is growing to be a promising solution to effectively cater to the rapidly increasing traffic generated by the digital society. Optical technology emerges as a viable alternative because to its capacity to offer a substantial bandwidth, little latency, and enhanced overall performance. Nevertheless, it is imperative to effectively manage the physical resources comprising a data center. This study provides an experimental demonstration of the RONs, which is enhanced by a control plane. The implementation relies on the monitoring of real-time network statistics. This enables the execution of various activities, including as network slice provisioning and reconfiguration, assignment of packet priority classes, and dynamic operations. These actions are performed to ensure the attainment of the desired Quality of Service level. The experimental results show the successfully implementation of RONs using Mininet Emulator and sFlow traffic monitoring technology. The results approve that optical datacenter has minimum delay with low OSNR even with long distance and fast switching time. © 2023 IEEE.

A multi-modal emotion recognition method based on facial multi-scale features and cross-modal attention (MS-FCA) network is proposed. The MSFCA model improves the traditional single-branch ViT network into a two-branch ViT architecture by using classification tokens in each branch to interact with picture embeddings in the other branch, which facilitates effective interactions between different scales of information. Subsequently, audio features are extracted using ResNet18 network. The cross-modal attention mechanism is used to obtain the weight matrices between different modal features, making full use of inter-modal correlation and effectively fusing visual and audio features for more accurate emotion recognition. Two datasets are used for the experiments: eNTERFACE'05 and REDVESS dataset. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the proposed method on the eNTERFACE'05 and REDVESS datasets is 85.42% and 83.84% respectively, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A Stackelberg Game Approach for Signal Temporal Logic control Synthesis with Uncontrollable Agents

In this paper, we investigate the control synthesis problem for Signal Temporal Logic (STL) specifications in the presence of uncontrollable agents. Existing works mainly address this problem in a robust control setting by assuming the uncontrollable agents are adversarial and accounting for the worst-case scenario. While this approach ensures safety, it can be overly conservative in scenarios where uncontrollable agents have their own objectives that are not entirely opposed to the system’s goals. Motivated by this limitation, we propose a new framework for STL control synthesis within the Stackelberg game setting. Specifically, we assume that the system controller, acting as the leader, first commits to a plan, after which the uncontrollable agents, acting as followers, take a best response based on the committed plan and their own objectives. Our goal is to synthesize a control sequence for the leader such that, for any rational followers producing a best response, the leader’s STL task is guaranteed to be satisfied. We present an effective solution to this problem by transforming it into a single-stage optimization problem and leveraging counterexample guided synthesis techniques. We demonstrate that the proposed approach is sound and identify conditions under which it is optimal. The emerging virtual coupling technology aims to operate multiple train units in a Virtually Coupled Train Set(VCTS)at a minimal but safe *** guarantee collision avoidance,the safety distance should be calculated using the state-of-the-art space-time separation principle that separates the Emergency Braking(EB)trajectories of two successive units during the whole EB *** this case,the minimal safety distance is usually numerically calculated without an analytic ***,the constrained VCTS control problem is hard to address with space-time separation,which is still a gap in the existing *** solve this problem,we propose a Distributed Economic Model Predictive control(DEMPC)approach with computation efficiency and theoretical ***,to alleviate the computation burden,we transform implicit safety constraints into explicitly linear ones,such that the optimal control problem in DEMPC is a quadratic programming problem that can be solved *** theoretical analysis,sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the recursive feasibility and stability of DEMPC,employing compatibility constraints,tube techniques and terminal ingredient ***,we extend our approach with globally optimal and distributed online EB configuration methods to shorten the minimal distance among ***,experimental results demonstrate the performance and advantages of the proposed approaches.

The article gives the basic concepts of reliability, performance, durability, considers the issues of changing the technical state of the machine during operation. The models under consideration have the ability to introduce various perturbations in order to simulate physical defects, and numerical simulation on a computer made it possible to obtain solutions in the form of temporary realizations of oscillations for different states of the simulation object. The cooperative use of the full-scale method and mathematical modeling made it possible to reduce the volume of full-scale experiments and apply statistical methods of analysis in the problem of classifying the technical condition by constructing mathematical models of the probability of failure and uptime during their operating time. The content of the main types of machine states is revealed, considerable attention is paid to the issues of identifying and influencing failures and the causes of failures in the machine, the reasons for the loss of performance during operation.
