During the coal seam drilling process, the drill string is subject to compressive deformation, compounded by unpredictable variations in formation hardness and borehole wall friction, leading to challenges in maintaining a stable feeding speed. This paper presents a novel approach by introducing uncertain parameters to describe the effects of formation hardness and borehole wall friction. Drill string axial movement model is modeled as a polyhedral system based on a lumped parameter representation. To meet industrial performance requirements, we design a robust $H_{\infty}$ controller to achieve consistent feeding speed control. Our simulation results demonstrate the controller's effectiveness in ensuring system stability despite fluctuations in formation hardness and drill string friction.

The security of mobile robotic networks (MRNs) has been an active research topic in recent years. This paper aims to secure the ubiquitous formation control of MRNs against the replacement attack, where an external robot can replace a formation robot by compromising the communication and physically interfering with the victim simultaneously. To counter this advanced attack, the novel idea of this work is to leverage the physical proximity of the formation shape and the interaction topology among robots for defense design. First, from the physical proximity perspective, we propose the convex neighbor polygon (CNP) to capture the geometric characteristic of the formation robots, and design a CNP-based security mechanism for the robots during the replacement attack. Then, from the interaction perspective, we introduce the indirect controllability to characterize the possibility that the attacker leverages the interaction between robots to deactivate the CNP mechanism, and establish the conditions regarding the topology structure and the attack input to counter the replacement. Finally, based on the obtained conditions, we demonstrate how to design the initiatory topology among the formation robots to enhance the defense performance. Comparative simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

In this study, a safe adaptive dynamic programming-based method is proposed for the formation control and collision avoidance problem of the multi-UAV systems with the known upper bound of external disturbances. For the position subsystem, an adaptive dynamic programming algorithm is established, using a designed cost function that manages to include uncertainty, tracking error, control influence, and barrier functions. Through the critic network structure with a unique weight learning criterion, the optimal cost function and control strategies are obtained. After attitude resolution, an integral back-stepping controller is established for the attitude subsystem. The simulation experiment is designed to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Currently, bearing fault signal diagnosis of mine drilling rig suffers from strong time dependency and serious signal noises, which leads to low diagnostic accuracy. Aiming at solving the problem of inadequate extraction of key features hidden in strong noise, a temporal attention embedding dilated convolutional neural network (Atten-DilatedNet) is designed for fault diagnosis of mine drilling rig bearing. The method takes the original vibration signals of different faulty bearings of drilling rigs as the input of the model. It adopts a one-dimensional dilated convolutional neural network to automatically extract features from the vibration signals, with larger receptive field and longer time range than traditional convolutional operator. A temporal attention mechanism is further embedded to the network, which adaptively assigns different weights to above feature sequences and model their time dependency. Thus, Atten-DilatedNet can enhance attention to critical-to-fault feature, and restrain interference of noise. Case studies on public data sets and experimental drilling rig demonstrate the validaty and superiority of the proposed Atten-DilatedNet based fault diagnosis method. It shows higher accuracy, better generalization performance, and stronger robustness than some traditional machine learning methods. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, the reliability test load spectrum of the aero-engine stator blade adjustment mechanism is studied. Based on the measured flight profile data of an aero-engine, the flight speed spectrum of the entire aero-engine was compiled. According to the regulation of stator blade installation angle for an aero-engine, the rotating speed spectrum of the entire machine is converted into a stator blade angle regulation profile and an aerodynamic load profile. Finally, based on the principle of equivalent conversion, the static blade adjustment mechanism load spectrum is converted into the mechanism test load spectrum. This work analyzes the possibility of reducing the energy consumption of digital-to-analog converters by minimizing the energy consumption of the elements that ensure their operation. Due to the fact that such decisions can lead to an increase in the temperature and time drift of the output voltage of the digital-to-analog converter, a method of its in-situ calibration during operation is proposed. The method also allows carrying out calibration of high-speed analog-digital converters. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid development of industrial automation makes the control process more and more demanding for the accuracy of system identification. Finding an effective identification model for regulating and controlling the time-critical and nonlinear process remains a difficult problem. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved recurrent neural network for industrial control system identification, called SI-RNNs, to solve the problem of insufficient prediction accuracy of the traditional RNNs in the initial time steps. SI-RNNs adds the state initialization process to determine the initial operational state of the control systems and selects the optimal state initialization steps length by perturbating feature values approach. In practical cases, it is verified that our method can effectively improve the solution accuracy of the model for industrial control process, especially in the gated recurrent neural networks capable of long-term memory. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

Introduced a software detection and warning method for the installation angle of road traffic radar in the pitch direction. Establish a mathematical model M1 based on the directional pattern of the transmitting antenna in the elevation direction. According to the RCS definition, the normalized curve shape of the received target echo signal strength is the same as model M1. The normalization coefficient is determined by on-site calibration methods or empirical value methods, and the model M1 is inversely normalized to obtain the model M2. Substitute the statistical analysis result A of the received signal strength result P ” calculated after real-time and cumulative sampling into model M2 to obtain the current elevation angle information of the radar. If the change in radar pitch angle exceeds the threshold, an alarm message will be output. This method does not require the addition of hardware sensors, and only estimates the current elevation angle of the radar through software calculations based on mathematical models and on-site sampled target echo signal strength, which has good engineering application value.

We propose an online identification scheme for discrete-time piece-wise affine state-space models based on a system of adaptive algorithms running in two timescales. A stochastic approximation algorithm implements an online deterministic annealing scheme at a slow timescale, estimating the partition of the augmented state-input space that defines the switching signal. At the same time, an adaptive identification algorithm, running at a higher timescale, updates the parameters of the local models based on the estimate of the switching signal. Identifiability conditions for the switched system are discussed and convergence results are given based on the theory of two-timescale stochastic approximation. In contrast to standard identification algorithms for piece-wise affine systems, the proposed approach progressively estimates the number of modes needed and is appropriate for online system identification using sequential data acquisition. This progressive nature of the algorithm improves computational efficiency and provides real-time control over the performance-complexity trade-off, desired in practical applications. Experimental results validate the efficacy of the proposed methodology.
