This work develops a CMOS active delay line for microwave CW signals. The novel active delay line is mainly based on an injection-locking (IL) technique. The delay of the input signal is linear adjusted with various injection conditions. Comparing with conventional passive or active delay lines, the proposed active delay line has a wider delay tuning range and a higher gain. The implemented CMOS delay line achieves a wide operating range of 2 ~ 2.6 GHz with very wide delay tuning range from 45~220 ns. The power consumption is lower than 7.2 mW.

In this study, the synthesis and characterization of epoxidized natural rubber / Titanium dioxide (ENR-25/TiO2) composites in two different solvent (Toluene and Chloroform) via sonication technique was conducted using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). Spectroscopy results showed new peak at 1662 cm-1 for both ENR-25/Titania composite films, which is related to weak C-O stretching vibration. Moreover, The peak at 3390.4 cm-1 and 3384.3 cm-1 of the composites are produced by Ti-OH stretching vibration shifts. The composite with toluene solvent showed poor dispersion of TiO2, which can be seen by the agglomeration embedded in the matrix. The composite with chloroform showed same trend of composite with toluene. The poor TiO2 dispersion in the composite can be observed by the surface as bright layers. These layers appeared because the TiO2 particles covered the surface of purified ENR-25 matrix.

Individuals react differently to social experiences;for example, people who are more sensitive to negative social experiences, such as being excluded, may be more likely to adapt their behavior to fit in with others. We examined whether functional brain connectivity during social exclusion in the fMRI scanner can be used to predict subsequent conformity to peer norms. Adolescent males (N = 57) completed a two-part study on teen driving risk: a social exclusion task (Cyberball) during an fMRI session and a subsequent driving simulator session in which they drove alone and in the presence of a peer who expressed risk-averse or risk-accepting driving norms. We computed the difference in functional connectivity between social exclusion and social inclusion from each node in the brain to nodes in two brain networks, one previously associated with mentalizing (medial prefrontal cortex, temporoparietal junction, precuneus, temporal poles) and another with social pain (anterior cingulate cortex, anterior insula). Using cross-validated machine learning, this measure of global network connectivity during exclusion predicts the extent of conformity to peer pressure during driving in the subsequent experimental session. These findings extend our understanding of how global neural dynamics guide social behavior, revealing functional network activity that captures individual differences. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. Rate of failure of software's and information systems are high among the world and there is a dire need for engineering a systems quality framework works a success measure tool in the context of the study domain. Success measure of systems and developing a framework helps in solving the problem of higher rate of systems failure. Success measure is also, an important part of systems development to improve systems performance. However, studies showed a lack of research done on systems success in world universities Arab region universities and Yemeni universities and limited adequate frameworks. Systems especially the web-based faces high rate of failure in world and Arab region, it was observed that many funded system projects failed, it was also, noted that in Yemen systems were completed and implemented without evaluation and success measuring. The Yemen higher education management information system (YHEMIS), is a large-scale application developed and implemented without evaluation. Hence, this research measures the YHEMIS application by investigating into the factors that influence user satisfaction and system use which will further show the benefit of the system. The research findings showed that information quality, system quality and management support influenced the use and users' satisfaction and played a vital role in the success of YHEMIS. The findings showed that students' satisfaction have the strongest effect on the perceived net benefits YHEMIS brought for the students. This study provides the first empirical data on the evaluation of web-based systems success conducted on YHEMIS in Yemen. Based on the results, stakeholders can get the feedback to improve the systems and provide input to develop other software projects. The research findings can provide the support to the management of Hadhramout University to other online system projects. Hence, YHEMIS can be said to be successful and users (students) satisfaction can be considered as the indicator of

In this paper, we present a study on how to achieve Byzantine fault tolerance for collaborative editing systems with commutative operations. Recent research suggests that Conflict-free Replicated Data Types (CRDTs) can be used to construct collaborative editing systems where concurrent update operations are commutative. This new approach is shown to avoid the complex issue of conflict resolution for concurrent updates to a shared document. The shared document is often modeled as a linear text buffer where each basic element is assigned a globally unique and totally ordered identifier. The linear text buffer constructed this way would constitute as a CRDT, which would make concurrent update operations issued by different users commutative. State convergence at all users can be achieved automatically as long as the users could receive the same set of operations irrespective of their relative ordering. However, it is not straightforward to guarantee state convergence in the presence of malicious users and external adversaries. In this paper, we carefully analyze the threats towards this type of systems, and propose a lightweight solution to achieve Byzantine fault tolerance with low runtime overhead. We define a set of correctness properties for such systems and prove that the proposed Byzantine fault tolerance mechanisms guarantee these properties. © 2016 IEEE.

We proposed the new high conductivity material for developing the high transparent dipole antenna. The proposed material is based on the nano-structured thin film and deposited on the glass substrate. Our invented activation process is used to rearrange the direction of nano-structure inside the thin film from disorder to order arrangements. The transmittance of antenna can be achieved to 80%. The overall dimension size of the antenna is 47 × 10 mm 2 and achieving the measured bandwidth of 18%. The antenna is showing a simple configuration and an effective design method for applying on transparent electronics fields.

A novel adaptive image zooming scheme via weighted least-squares estimation

A critical issue in image interpolation is preserving edge detail and texture information in images when zooming. In this paper, we propose a novel adaptive image zooming algorithm using weighted least-square estimation that can achieve arbitrary integer-ratio zoom （WLS-AIZ） For a given zooming ratio n, every pixel in a low-resolution （LR） image is associated with an n x n block of high-resolution （HR） pixels in the HR image. In WLS-AIZ, the LR image is interpolated using the bilinear method in advance. Model parameters of every n×n block are worked out through weighted least-square estimation. Subsequently, each pixel in the n × n block is substituted by a combination of its eight neighboring HR pixels using estimated parameters. Finally, a refinement strategy is adopted to obtain the ultimate HR pixel values. The proposed algorithm has significant adaptability to local image structure. Extensive experiments comparing WLS-AIZ with other state of the art image zooming methods demonstrate the superiority of WLS-AIZ. In terms of peak signal to noise ratio （PSNR）, structural similarity index （SSIM） and feature similarity index （FSIM）, WLS-AIZ produces better results than all other image integer-ratio zoom algorithms.

As the area of glass panel becomes larger and the thickness becomes thinner (from 0.5mm to about 0.3mm), the method for the load of glass panel under the mass-production will be changed to another method, for example by platform with auto load function. In this study, we investigated a platform for generation six (G6, 1850 × 1500 mm) to generation eight (G8, 2460 × 2160 mm). The investigated auto panel-cutting platforms had the human-machine interface which could be designed to have the function of choosing the different cutting area. The investigated platform has two special functions, which can be controlled by the human-machine interface. The first is the diagnosis model, which is used to choose the cutting area for the analysis of the fail problem. The second is the accepted goods and unaccepted goods (OK/NG) model. The area of cutting glass panels could be controlled by the computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) program.
