Content synchronization in LMS (Learning Management system) is a new area of research which involves the transfer of data from one machine to another. Many researchers have conducted their researches concerning synchronization in different applications on data transfer. Therefore, in this paper we introduce a new idea of synchronization in heterogeneous LMSs and to share learning contents among different learning institutions. The major contribution in this paper, is based on the integration of rsync with MAS (Multi-Agent system) in heterogeneous learning management systems (LMSs) environment using SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model), so as different learning institutions in higher education (HE) can seamlessly share learning contents in the different LMSs. Hence, a new model of heterogeneous LMS (HLMS) has been presented for easily sharing of learning contents in Higher Learning Institutions (HLI).

A reverberation chamber,which is a test facility for various electromagnetic compatibility tests,uses a stirrer to generate a uniform electric field inside it. However,a stirrer is a big unit and has difficulties in maintenance. This paper adopted an idea of a diffuser from acoustics to overcome the problems of a stirrer and presents a substitution effect of a diffuser for a stirrer. To validate the substitution effect of a diffuser,a diffuser and a reverberation chamber for 3.0-5.0 GHz band are designed and fabricated. And the real measurement for analyzing the electric field uniformity in a reverberation chamber is done. The measurement results show that the reverberation chamber with a diffuser satisfies the international standard requirement.

Population ratios between excited states are measured to build the excited state Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter(ESFADOF). We calculate these values between the excited states according to the spontaneous transition probabilities using rate equations and the measured intensities of fluorescence spectral lines of He atoms in an electrodeless discharge lamp in the visible spectral region from 350 to 730 nm. The electrodeless discharge lamp with populations in excited states can be used to realize the frequency stabilization reference of the laser frequency standard. This lamp can also build ESFADOFs for submarine communication application in the blue-green wavelength to simplify the system without the use of a pump laser.

Short-term load forecasting can provide information which is applicable for the possible energy interchange with other utilities. Load forecasting is also advantegeous for system security, in fact if applied to the system security assessment problem, it can provide valuable information to detect many vulnerable situations in advance. In addition if the work environment is in a hospital reality, where a continuous energy and electricity utilization is required, all the problems previously listed are amplified and of a greater importance, because of the continuous use of new technological instruments. In this study a neural network approach for the hospital energy load forecast is illustrated .The data sets belong to the University Eye Clinic of Genoa, S. Martino Hospital, Genoa, Italy, and to the department of Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties (DIMI) of the University of Genoa, Italy. These two environments represent different approaches in patient treatment and this study aims to determine if the same tool is beneficial in load forecasting for both wards. In both realities the presented approach reached a target of more than 75% of correct forecasts. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

In this paper we address exploration algorithm in flat experimental environment with colored objects for multi robots system. The aim of exploration in unknown environment is finding target points like mine detection in outdoor environment without any positioning device. Two algorithms were investigated in this paper one is frontier based random search algorithm and the second is efficient algorithm based on segmentation strategy. To improve efficiency, each robot had to go to different regions to avoid cumulating robots in one region. Constructed maps for all four regions could be shared and navigation could be done more effectively. For constructing map robot can use on built range finder sensor or using vision based systems. Also the algorithm using segmentation strategy is using frontier base algorithm for exploring divided area. Both algorithm implemented and analyzed in Player/Stage simulation. The result was compared and showed the efficiency of the designed algorithm based segmentation strategy. In simulation this algorithm is tested with different number of robots to achieve better view of efficiency for proposed algorithm in different type of environment like harsh environment as possibility of losing some robots.

The peer-reviewed articles and textual data are main source of data in biology. Text mining is solution to extract information from textual data sources that are usually in bulky quantities, messy and disorganized. Dealing with this situation needs to deploy innovative methods and techniques. In this paper, we identify the current heavily used methods for biomedical text mining, their capabilities and developments, some proposed solution and how to evaluate performance. Biomedical specific challenges in text mining context have been studied with respect to proposed answers and then main future trends based on current needs and requirements have been discussed. © 2012 IEEE.
