The incorporation of Internet of Things (IoT) cloud computing solutions with smart grids signifies a significant advancement in energy management. Traditional methods, though beneficial, often lack scalability and real-time capabilities, limiting their effectiveness in managing the complexity of modern energy systems. In this paper, a novel approach cloud-based IoT technologies to address these shortcomings and enhance smart grid functionalities. Existing energy management methods heavily rely on localized monitoring and control systems, constraining scalability and real-time responsiveness. Additionally, these methods struggle to handle the immense data generated by IoT devices dispersed throughout the grid. The proposed approach tackles these challenges by utilizing cloud computing to store, process, and analyze IoT sensor data in real-time. The novelty of this method lies in seamlessly integrating cloud-based platforms with IoT devices across the smart grid. Through utilising cloud resources, the limitations of traditional approaches are overcome, enabling scalable, real-time oversight and management of grid assets. The methodology involves deploying IoT sensors across the grid to compile information about energy usage, generation, and distribution, which is then transmitted to cloud servers for analysis and decision-making. Through simulations and real-world experiments, the effectiveness of this approach in optimizing grid performance, improving reliability, and facilitating demand-response programs is demonstrated. The results exhibit significant enhancements in grid efficiency and resilience, showcasing the potential of cloud-based IoT solutions to transform energy management in smart grids. Overall, this proposed method presents a promising pathway towards establishing more efficient, sustainable, and resilient energy infrastructure for the future. © 2024 IEEE.

Incorporating positive temperature coefficient(PTC)ceramic particles into polymers provides a prospective alternative solution for suppressing severe electric field distortions caused by negative temperature coefficient(NTC)of electrical resistivity within polymer insulation in high voltage direct current *** effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on the inhibition of the NTC effect of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)is investigated in this *** temperature coefficient particles with varied Curie temperatures are surface-modified and melt blending with *** modified particles are dispersed on averagely in the *** electrical resistivity,space charge behaviour,and direct current(DC)electrical breakdown strength of the samples are investigated at different temperatures,exploring the effect of the Curie temperature of PTC particles on suppressing the NTC effect of *** is demonstrated that the reduction in Curie temperature can further suppress the NTC effect of XLPE,enhance the DC strength at elevated temperatures,and inhibit the internal space charge *** reduction in the Curie temperatures means that the initiation of the PTC effect advances,exhibiting a higher potential barrier and inhibiting the NTC effect more *** work may give a reference for improving the temperature stability of DC properties for XLPE cable insulation.

Large losses in output, money, and quality/quantity of agricultural goods are incurred due to plant diseases. Seventy percent of India's GDP is tied to the agricultural sector, thus protecting plants from diseases is crucial. For this reason, it is important to keep an eye on plants from the moment they sprout. The usual approach for this omission is naked eye inspection, which is more time-consuming, costly, and requires significant skill. Thus, automating the method for detecting diseases is necessary to speed up this process. It is imperative that image processing methods be used in the creation of the illness detection system. Disease detection involves a number of processes, including Weighted Mask R-CNN, GLCM feature extraction, Multi-thresholding image pre-processing, and K means image segmentation classification. The weighted Mask R-CNN outperforms the standard RNN, the Mask R-CNN, and the CNN in terms of accuracy and recall in analytical trials by a significant margin. © 2023 IEEE.

The dynamics of a quadcopter unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and proportional integral derivative (PID) control based on disturbance rejection are mathematically modelled in this work. The model presented is a nonlinear in nature and modelled with respect to the two fundamental frames of reference and physical mathematical laws. The objective is to create the most accurate replica of the vehicle. The created model is utilized to develop a PID controller method that will precisely and steadily operate the quadrotor system. The development of a controller is to obtain stability in the quadcopter system. First, the nonlinear and couple model quadcopter were established, and control described the principles of the ability of decoupling rejection control then the model was decoupled. The system contains four input forces, which are basically the thrust provided by each propeller coupled to each rotor with a fixed angle. Pitch angle must change in order to maintain forward (backward) motion, which is accomplished by simultaneously increasing (decreasing) front (rear) rotor speed and decreasing (increasing) rear (front) rotor speed. The same method is used to change the roll angle for left and right motion. The motors in the front and rear spin counter-clockwise, while the motors in other motor positions rotate clockwise. This causes the yaw command to be generated by either raising or reducing the speed of the counter-clockwise motors while reducing or increasing the speed of the clockwise motors. The achieved goal here is the derivation of a model that properly reflects the physical properties enabling realistic simulations and is simple enough to be applied to controller design in the future. The system and controller's mathematical models were converted to matching Simulink models in order to make system simulations and investigations easier. The results show the accuracy and significant disturbance rejection of the nonlinear model.

Because of its high incidence and high mortality rate, breast cancer requires reliable means of early detection and diagnosis to improve survival rates for its patients. With advantages including increased accuracy and efficiency, deep learning (DL) and machine learning (ML) methods are quickly becoming indispensable in the fight against breast cancer. However, there is a need for additional study because existing approaches have scalability and performance constraints. Utilizing a pre-trained ResNet50V2 and ensemble-based ML approaches, we offer a hybrid approach to reliable breast cancer diagnosis in this study. Learning and extracting latent trends from complex breast-cancer(BC) images is made possible by DL's incorporation, with ML strategies contributing interpretability and generalizability. We performed wide experiments utilizing a openly accessible Invasive-Ductal-Carcinoma(IDC) dataset based on breast histopathology images of varying sample sizes. The resilience and great performance of our hybrid model are supported by the results of our extensive experiments. When compared to state-of-the-art models, our 95% accuracy rate, 94.5 precision, 94.2 recall, and 94.6 F1 score are all improvements. We also found that the best ML model to use with the ResNet50V2 architecture is the Light Boosting Classifier (LGB). This study's findings provide substantial contributions to the field of breast cancer diagnosis thanks to its novel approach, in-depth performance analysis, and trustworthy evaluation. In addition, it may help doctors make better decisions, provide better care, and boost results for people with breast cancer. © 2023 IEEE.

Millimeter wave frequencies are one of the promising technologies to support high data rates in 5G wireless communication systems, but short wavelengths due to high frequencies cause signal attenuation and path loss. To compensate for this problem, in this paper, we apply the hybrid beamforming technique and try to track the exact beam angle using the Unscented Kalman filter to obtain the complete beamforming gain. As a result of the simulation, it can be seen that the proposed algorithm exhibits good Mean Square Error (MSE) performance with a moderate level of implementation complexity. However, the computational complexity that arises when hybrid beamforming is applied still remains a problem to be solved. Therefore, in the course of future research, if a deep neural network is applied in terms of beamformer and combiner, it will be able to show a higher level of performance with a lower level of complexity. © 2023 IEEE.

The increasing integration of Cyber-Physical systems (CPS) in critical infrastructure presents unique challenges for ensuring robust cybersecurity. Traditional Intrusion Detection systems (IDS) often struggle with the dynamic, complex nature of CPS environments, making adaptive solutions essential. This paper presents an Adaptive Intrusion Detection system (AIDS) that leverages Reinforcement Learning-Based Autoencoders (RL-AE) to detect and respond to cyber intrusions in CPS environments. The proposed model combines the power of autoencoders for unsupervised anomaly detection with reinforcement learning to continuously adapt and improve detection accuracy. Experimental results on benchmark CPS datasets demonstrate that the RL-AE-based IDS achieves a detection accuracy of 98.3%, a precision rate of 96.8%, and a recall rate of 97.5%, effectively minimizing false positives to 2.4%. The system also demonstrated rapid adaptability, with a convergence time of less than 50 iterations in response to new attack patterns. These results highlight the model's ability to enhance system resilience and promote secure and efficient CPS operations in industrial and critical infrastructure applications. This approach provides a scalable and flexible IDS solution, promoting secure and resilient CPS operations in real-time, high-stakes environments.
