Under the development background of educational curriculum reform, personalized curriculum design has become the key content of current reform of the computer major. In this context, this research carries out a design of a curriculum construction platform for the computer major based on intelligent algorithm. Through the user curriculum design module and personalized curriculum design optimization module design, the technological innovation of computer related discipline curriculum construction is realized. This paper introduces an innovative near-field monitoring system designed to enhance the active safety features of autonomous vehicles during low-speed driving. The proposed system has dedicated Light Detecting and Ranging (LiDAR) components. It can independently detect and respond to potential hazards, even without the high-level system’s intervention, and apply the emergency brake promptly. Unlike traditional systems that depend on a comprehensive mapping of the entire surrounding environment, our approach focuses on immediate decision-making within the keep-out area (KOA) upon detecting obstacles. The monitoring system utilizes information from the planned driving route to delineate specific monitoring boundaries. This paper explains different monitoring strategies that are suitable for various driving conditions. These strategies incorporate the use of 2-dimensional layouts, including rectangles and parallelograms, to cover the driving path area and fulfill the monitoring requirements of the autonomous vehicle in diverse scenarios.

Machine Learning (ML) systems require representative and diverse datasets to accurately learn the objective task. In supervised learning data needs to be accurately annotated, which is an expensive and error-prone process. We present a method for generating synthetic data tailored to the use-case achieving excellent performance in a real-world usecase. We provide a method for producing automatically annotated synthetic visual data of multi rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and other airborne objects in a simulated environment with a high degree of scene diversity, from collection of 3D models to generation of annotated synthetic datasets (synthsets). In our data generation framework SynRender we introduce a novel method of using Neural Radiance Field (NeRF) methods to capture photo-realistic high-fidelity 3D-models of multirotor UAVs in order to automate data generation for an object detection task in diverse environments. By producing data tailored to the real-world setting, our NeRF-derived results show an advantage over generic 3D asset collection-based methods where the domain gap between the simulated and real-world is unacceptably large. In the spirit of keeping research open and accessible to the research community we release our dataset VISER DroneDiversity used in this project, where visual images, annotated boxes, instance segmentation and depth maps are all generated for each image sample. © 2024 IEEE.

Firmware serves as a foundational software layer in modern computers, initiating as the first code executed on platform hardware, similar in function to a minimal operating system. Defined as a software interface between an operating system and platform firmware, the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) standardizes system initialization and management. A prominent open-source implementation of UEFI, the EFI Development Kit II (EDK2), plays a crucial role in shaping firmware architecture. Despite its widespread adoption, the architecture faces challenges such as limited system resources at early stages and a lack of standard security features. Furthermore, the scarcity of open-source tools specifically designed for firmware analysis emphasizes the need for adaptable, innovative *** this paper, we explore the application of general code audit tools to firmware, with a particular focus on EDK2. Although these tools were not originally designed for firmware analysis, they have proven effective in identifying critical areas for enhancement in firmware security. Our findings, derived from deploying key audit tools on EDK2, categorize these tools based on their methodologies and illustrate their capability to uncover unique firmware attributes, significantly contributing to the understanding and improvement of firmware security.

In the production process of rock sugar oranges, picking is the most labor-intensive step. Intelligent replacement of traditional manual labor, timely and rapid picking of rock sugar oranges, improving fruit picking quality, is of great significance for expanding the rock sugar orange market. How to effectively recognize and locate rock sugar oranges is a key technology in machine vision in the research of automatic picking robots. A rock sugar orange positioning method is proposed. Firstly, the rock sugar orange image is preprocessed, binarized using Otsu adaptive threshold segmentation, and the positioning parameters and radius of the rock sugar orange are obtained using Hough transform. The K-means clustering pattern classification method is used to classify different circles, and the clustering results are corrected using a circle parameter correction model. © 2023 ACM.

As real-time data sources expand, the need for detecting anomalies in streaming data becomes increasingly critical for cutting edge data-driven applications. Real-time anomaly detection faces various challenges, requiring automated systems that adapt continuously to evolving data patterns due to the impracticality of human intervention. This study focuses on energy systems (ES), critical infrastructures vulnerable to disruptions from natural disasters, cyber attacks, equipment failures, or human errors, leading to power outages, financial losses, and risks to other sectors. Early anomaly detection ensures energy supply continuity, minimizing disruption impacts, an enhancing system resilience against cyber threats. A systematic literature review (SLR) is conducted to answer 5 essential research questions in anomaly detection due to the lack of standardized knowledge and the rapid evolution of emerging technologies replacing conventional methods. A detailed review of selected literature, extracting insights and synthesizing results has been conducted in order to explore anomaly types that can be detected using Machine Learning algorithms in the scope of Energy systems, the factors influencing this detection success, the deployment algorithms and security measurement to take in to consideration. This paper provides a comprehensive review and listing of advanced machine learning models, methods to enhance detection performance, methodologies, tools, and enabling technologies for real-time implementation. Furthermore, the study outlines future research directions to improve anomaly detection in smart energy systems. © The Author(s) 2024.

Network-on-Chip (NoC) presents a promising solution for on-chip communication in highly integrated System-on-Chips (SoCs). This work addresses critical challenges in NoC design, including routing construction, application mapping, and particularly the issue of deadlocks in the widely-used wormhole routing method. In this paper, an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) approach for deadlock-free routing is proposed, applicable to arbitrary network topologies. We systematically analyze deadlock-free routing construction for mesh and torus topologies under uniform random traffic and provide alternative solutions to turn models. In the context of application-specific NoCs, application mapping, and deadlock-free routing are integrated within a single ILP. Through evaluation with several benchmark applications, it is demonstrated that the ILP method consistently delivers optimal solutions and could obtain better results than various heuristic methods within an acceptable time. Fault tolerance is also explored and existing techniques are incorporated into the ILP approach. As an illustrative example, application mapping and a 1-link-fault-tolerant deadlock-free routing for the MP3 application on a mesh network is performed.

Student projects for "Real-Time embedded systems", a course taught at University of Colorado Boulder and online with Coursera, stresses ability to put theory into practice. The course includes a final project, where students design, implement, and test a computer vision synchronizing experiment. The goal of the experiment is to observe a clock at two different rates, which must be glitch free, with no skipped values, blurs, or repeats and have minimal drift with millisecond precision as a monotonic process. The gap between basic real-time concepts and more in-depth analysis required to complete a final project is significant. Completion of this project requires hands-on practice with an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System) or embedded Linux while at the same time, learning rate monotonic theory and methods of feasibility analysis. Presently, an introductory exercise is used, along with introduction of practices using trace and profile tools. Students learn multi-core programming and analyze multi-core performance of ARM A-series microprocessors running Linux. Current versions of Linux support fixed priority and dynamic deadline scheduling for predictable response multi-service systems development. This introductory exercise, using synthetic workloads, has led to successful student outcomes for key practice and theory learning objectives, but it is somewhat abstract. The use of synthetic workload executing a series computation gives students experience working with fixed and dynamic priority preemptive scheduling. While students learn to develop Linux POSIX concurrent code, using shared memory threading, they are simultaneously learning rate monotonic theory. The math background and timing analysis experience with diagrams and tools in addition to learning new programming can be demanding.
