With the rapid development of technology, the use of social media by the public, especially among young people, is increasing. One of the social media platforms currently used by young people is the TikTok application. It is a video-based TikTok feature accompanied by music, writing, and pictures that are considered attractive, so teenagers like it to show their existence and self-disclosure. Therefore, this study aims to examine the intention of users to disclose their privacy. As the basis of the theory, this study deployed the privacy calculus theory, where the perceived benefits and perceived risks play crucial roles in the intention to disclose their privacy. The study successfully collected 369 responses. The empirical findings indicated that only the relationship between Perceived Personalization (PP) and Perceived Risk (PR) was not supported. However, all the remaining hypotheses were supported. These findings emphasize how several complicated variables influence social media users' intentions to disclose their privacy. When people feel in control of their privacy settings and see significant benefits, they are more likely to divulge personal information;nevertheless, perceived risks can greatly discourage users. © 2024 IEEE.

Constructing a hybrid activation and parameter-fusion based CNN medical image classifier

In recent years, numerous deep learning models for medical image classification have emerged, with varying accuracies influenced by factors like image quality, content, and the convoluted low-level features. In this article, we aim to identify key features that enhance the precision of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are widely employed in this domain. We empirically demonstrate that parameters like activation functions, image augmentation, convolutional layers, filter sizes, and max pooling significantly impact precision, while others like hidden layers, epochs, and batch sizes affect quality and runtime negatively. To validate our proposal, we use a publicly-available dataset of colored Breast Cancer images which comprises 27,751 images distributed over three sub-datasets as follows: 4162 testing images (2980 no cancer and 1182 with cancer), 19,426 training images (13,911 no cancer and 5515 with cancer), and 4163 validation images (2981 no cancer and 1182 with cancer). Multiple experimental runs were conducted, and the outcomes of each run were recorded, taking into account various evaluation metrics and components of the CNN architecture. Results demonstrate that the highest CNN classifier’s accuracy was achieved when coupling RelU and Sigmoid activation functions using a 3 × 3 filter with a batch of size 32 and 20 epochs and 2 hidden layers. A Similar accuracy rate (83.55%) has also been achieved when coupling ReLU and Sigmoid activation functions using the DensNet-201 pre-trained CNN model. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

The increasing dependence on smartphones with advanced sensors has highlighted the imperative of precise transportation mode classification, pivotal for domains like health monitoring and urban planning. This research is motivated by the pressing demand to enhance transportation mode classification, leveraging the potential of smartphone sensors, notably the accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope. In response to this challenge, we present a novel automated classification model rooted in deep reinforcement learning. Our model stands out for its innovative approach of harnessing enhanced features through artificial neural networks (ANNs) and visualizing the classification task as a structured series of decision-making events. Our model adopts an improved differential evolution (DE) algorithm for initializing weights, coupled with a specialized agent-environment relationship. Every correct classification earns the agent a reward, with additional emphasis on the accurate categorization of less frequent modes through a distinct reward strategy. The Upper Confidence Bound (UCB) technique is used for action selection, promoting deep-seated knowledge, and minimizing reliance on chance. A notable innovation in our work is the introduction of a cluster-centric mutation operation within the DE algorithm. This operation strategically identifies optimal clusters in the current DE population and forges potential solutions using a pioneering update mechanism. When assessed on the extensive HTC dataset, which includes 8311 hours of data gathered from 224 participants over two years. Noteworthy results spotlight an accuracy of 0.88±0.03 and an F-measure of 0.87±0.02, underscoring the efficacy of our approach for large-scale transportation mode classification tasks. Due to the intense data flow in expanding Internet of Things(IoT)applications,a heavy processing cost and workload on the fog-cloud side become *** of the most critical challenges is optimal task *** this is an NP-hard problem type,a metaheuristic approach can be a good *** study introduces a novel enhancement to the Artificial Rabbits Optimization(ARO)algorithm by integrating Chaotic maps and Levy flight strategies(CLARO).This dual approach addresses the limitations of standard ARO in terms of population diversity and convergence *** is designed for task scheduling in fog-cloud environments,optimizing energy consumption,makespan,and execution time simultaneously three critical parameters often treated individually in prior *** conventional single-objective methods,the proposed approach incorporates a multi-objective fitness function that dynamically adjusts the weight of each parameter,resulting in better resource allocation and load *** analysis,a real-world dataset,the Open-source Google Cloud Jobs Dataset(GoCJ_Dataset),is used for performance measurement,and analyses are performed on three considered *** are applied with well-known algorithms:GWO,SCSO,PSO,WOA,and ARO to indicate the reliability of the proposed *** this regard,performance evaluation is performed by assigning these tasks to Virtual Machines(VMs)in the resource *** are performed on 90 base cases and 30 scenarios for each evaluation *** results indicated that the proposed algorithm achieved the best makespan performance in 80% of cases,ranked first in execution time in 61%of cases,and performed best in the final parameter in 69% of *** addition,according to the obtained results based on the defined fitness function,the proposed method(CLARO)is 2.52%better than ARO,3.95%better than SCSO,5.06%better than GWO,8.15%better than PSO,and 9.41%better than WOA.

Illegible handwriting on medical prescriptions poses a significant challenge, often leading to the misinterpretation of drug names and dosages. This issue primarily stems from doctors' use of Latin abbreviations, driven by time constraints during patient consultations. The resultant discrepancies in prescription interpretation can potentially expose patients to incorrect medications and dosages, leading to adverse effects. In response to this concern, this study proposes a novel system integrating Convolution Neural Network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models. Promising findings are reported in this study, achieving a loss of 0.4874 and an accuracy of 0.83 in the latest trial. The final model offers a potential solution to the persistent problem of illegible prescriptions, enhancing patient safety in the healthcare domain. © 2024 IEEE.

Sleep quality prediction in Internet of Things (IoT) involves leveraging a system of interrelated devices to gather as well as analyse related data. Smart devices like wearable devices or smart mattresses endlessly monitor many parameters such as body movement, heart rate, and environmental situations in bedroom. Real-time recommendations and feedback transported to consumers, allowing them to create informed lifestyle changes for superior sleep hygiene. As IoT ecosystem continues to develop, a combination of various data streams as well as classy analytics holds assurance for further refining sleep quality forecasts and improving overall well-being. The article designs a Bald Eagle Search Algorithm with Hierarchical Deep Learning for Internet of Things Assisted Sleep Quality Recognition (BESHDL-SQP) technique. The purpose of the BESHDL-SQP technique is to recognize and classify the quality of the sleep level in the IoT environment. In the presented BESHDL-SQP technique, the preliminary stage of data pre-processing using min–max normalization involved to normalize the input data. For predicting sleep quality, hierarchical long short-term memory (LSTM) technique exploited. Lastly, BES model utilized for optimal hyperparameter selection of LSTM method which helps in attaining enhanced results. To validate better performance of BESHDL-SQP technique, a huge range of simulation analysis is carried out. Collaborative Service Provisioning for UAV-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing(MEC), as a way of coping with delaysensitive and computing-intensive tasks, is considered to be a key technology to solving the challenges of terrestrial MEC networks. In this work, we study the problem of collaborative service provisioning(CSP) for UAV-assisted MEC. Specifically, taking into account the task latency and other resource constraints, this paper investigates how to minimize the total energy consumption of all terrestrial user equipments, by jointly optimizing computing resource allocation, task offloading, UAV trajectory, and service placement. The CSP problem is a non-convex mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, owing to the complex coupling of mixed integral variables and non-convexity of CSP. To address the CSP problem, this paper proposes an alternating optimization-based solution with the convergence guarantee as follows. We iteratively deal with the joint service placement and task offloading subproblem, and UAV movement trajectory subproblem, by branch and bound and successive convex approximation, respectively,while the closed form of the optimal computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained. Extensive simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to three baselines.

Positive and Unlabeled (PU) learning is a learning method which can be applied to various field such as recommendation and big data analysis. A direct method to solve PU learning is transform it into a weighted classification problem. However, previously proposed methods assume a strict condition. In this paper, we first investigate if the condition can be satisfied in real world situations and then propose a normalized weighted method which can relax the difficultly of PU learning. © 2023 ACM.

Today, Agricultures has become a significant element of people's life. Among them fruits and vegetables are a great thing for healthy lives. Classification of fruits and vegetable are difficult for normal person because of some same similarities like shape and color. Also, Fruits and Vegetables classification is an important process in industries applications as well as local market. Lots of similarities available between fruits like apples, pears and peaches, and that kinds of fruits are generally used in daily routine. As well as some vegetables are same in shape, so it will be difficult to differentiate in this type of situation for old persons. The previous research for solution of this type of problem for classification of fruits CNN is used but the problem in this research is when they use the self-made datasets then their accuracy decreases as compare to public datasets accuracy increases. To solve this type of problem, here produce a kind of algorithms in the paper to classify fruits and vegetable, using deep leaning technique such as VGG16 and DenseNet169 model have capability to extract the feature of images very deeply using various small filters so it provide a better result. On this premise, it was used to classify fruit kinds against a complex background and integrated with data improvement technology for future usage. It might be helpful for human for automatic differentiate the both categories. This project is implemented in the python programming language and the dataset used Fruits and Vegetables Image Recognition Dataset for the classification. Which will help to differentiate between Fruits and Vegetables with high accuracy rate. For the implementation of this project used Python programming and this implementation using the tool like Jupiter and Kaggle Notebook and used GPU for highspeed execution. © 2024 IEEE.
