In life, various challenges and problems faced by deaf people such as communication skills and other problems, including emotional, mental, and societal development However, technology is needed that can help the process. This Smart Application try to build communication between the deaf to share thoughts in group chats, including getting information about the deaf, so that the communication learning process for the deaf becomes easier. The proposed model is using Unified Modeling Languages (UML) diagrams, such as case diagrams for the current proposed idea process and class diagrams for relational tables or database stores. In addition, the User interface (UI) is implemented in this research work, Personal Home Pages (PHP) as a web server programming and MySQL database as an open-source database.

An algorithm for conditional-fault local diagnosis of multiprocessor systems under the MM⁎ model

Diagnosis is a crucial subject for maintaining the reliability of multiprocessor systems. Under the MM⁎ diagnosis model, Sengupta and Dahbura proposed a polynomial-time algorithm with time complexity O(N5) to diagnose a system with N processors. In this paper, we propose a (α,β)-trees combination S(u,X,α,β) and give an algorithm to identify the fault or fault-free status of each processor for conditional local diagnosis under the MM⁎ model. According to our results, a connected network with a (α,β)-trees combination S(u,X,α,β) for a node u is conditionally locally (α+2β−3)-diagnosable at node u and the time complexity of our algorithm to diagnose u is O(α2β+αβ2). As an application, we show that our algorithm can identify the status of each node of n-dimensional star graph Sn if the faulty node number does not exceed 3n−8. Compared with existing algorithms, our algorithm allows more faulty nodes in a multiprocessor system. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

The transformer model has become a state-of-the-art model in Natural Language Processing. The initial transformer model, known as the vanilla transformer model, is designed to improve some prominent models in sequence modeling and transduction problems such as language modeling and machine translation. The initial transformer model has 6 stacks of identical encoder-decoder layers with an attention mechanism whose aim is to push limitations of common recurrent language models and encoder-decoder architectures. Its outstanding performance has inspired many researchers to extend the architecture to improve its performance and computation efficiency. Despite many extensions to the vanilla transformer, there is no clear explanation of the encoder-decoder set out depth in the vanilla transformer model. This paper presents exploration results on the effect of combination encoder-decoder layer depth and activation function in the feed-forward layer of the vanilla transformer model on its performance. The model is tested to address a downstream task: text translation from Bahasa Indonesia to the Sundanese language. Although the value difference is not significantly large, the empirical results show that the combination of depth = 2 with Sigmoid, Tanh, and ReLU activation function;and d = 6 with ReLU activation shows the highest average training accuracy. Interestingly, d = 6 and ReLU show the lowest average training and validation loss. However, statistically, there is no significant difference between depth and activation functions. © 2023 IEEE.

Translating a language to another language has become instrumental when peoples interact with other people who speak a different language. However, the language translation is not an easy computation task when there is a language-resource gap. This paper presents empirical results on the performance of two models: the Long Short-term Memory and the Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory models as machine language translation models involving Bahasa Indonesia and the Sundanese language. The empiric results showed that the Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory model achieves higher performance as a language translator from the Sundanese language to Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa (0.95 and 0.95 average training accuracy respectively;and 0.90 and 0.89 average testing BLEU scores respectively) than the Long Short-term Memory model as a language translator from the Sundanese language to Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa (0.93 and 0.92 average training accuracy respectively;and 0.91 and 0.88 average testing BLEU scores). These results validate some previously reported studies that claim the Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory model potentially outperform the Long Short-term Memory model when it is used to process a sequence dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

This research is ongoing research into the student learning process which aims to develop artificial intelligence-based technology to calculate essay exam scores automatically, based on the textual proximity of students' answers to the answer key. This research uses an approach based on natural language processing (NLP) and text analysis. Feature extraction was carried out using the BERT model and similarity comparison using the Cosine distance method. Model evaluation was carried out using sensitivity and specificity tests. The model evaluation results show a sensitivity of 98.21%, which means this assessment model is able to detect positive cases well. © 2023 IEEE.

Current crowdwork research still has issues related to trust. Workers and employers do not know each other, so problems related to trust will arise. This trust issue will influence the desire to use the crowdwork system. This study will evaluate trust in the intention to use blockchain-based crowdwork systems in creative industries. The methodology used is a quantitative approach (questionnaire) which is distributed to 200 respondents consisting of workers and employers. After that, testing the inner and outer models was carried out. The results obtained are technology, risk, and reputation which have the greatest impact on trust. The use of blockchain technology can minimize risks when using a crowdwork system, such as data that cannot be changed, data tracing can be done, and so on. The rating and review features are also important to be able to find out the user's reputation in the system.

Design of Green Power Clouds for Intelligent Virtual Power Plants

Traditional virtual power plants (VPPs) combine power from distributed energy resources (DER) to supply energy to users. However, they fall short of net-zero goals because of neglecting carbon footprints during power aggregation. This paper proposes a novel intelligent virtual power plant framework ( $i$ VPPF) to address this gap. $i$ VPPF comprises a central $i$ VPP ( $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{C}})$ and several regional $i$ VPPs ( $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}})$ , n $=$ E, S, M, and N. These $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}}$ are geographically distributed systems for intelligently managing $i$ VPPs in four regions: east, south, middle, and north, respectively, while the $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{C}}$ is responsible for dispatching power across $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}}$ . We built $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{C}}$ and $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}}$ on individual green power clouds, which can provide abundant computing resources and realize intelligence through AI technologies for $i$ VPPF. We also design universal computing devices called cyber-physical agents (CPAs) to collect essential data on manufacturing, carbon footprint, and energy usage for $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}}$ . $i$ VPP $_{\mathrm{n}}$ can intelligently control DERs based on the collected data. Also, $i$ VPPF can empower enterprises to participate in power balancing services offered by Taipower, thereby enhancing the flexibility of the overall power grid. Furthermore, we integrate $i$ VPPF with the I4.2-GiM framework, offering intelligent carbon and energy management capabilities to achieve the net-zero goal. The testing results show that $i$ VPPF can significantly reduce energy usage (up to 25.6%) and carbon emissions (up to 509 kg) through power dispatch. Thus, the proposed $i$ VPPF promises to contribute economic benefits for businesses and the pursuit of net-zero emissions. Water leakage in distribution networks is a significant challenge, especially in regions with limited infrastructure like Huancayo, Peru, where losses account for 32.82% of the distributed volume. This study introduces a machine learning-based approach to detect leaks using four algorithms: Autoencoder LSTM, Isolation Forest, One-Class SVM, and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN). The methodology involved preprocessing historical consumption data (2018–2024) into 12-month temporal sequences per client and evaluating the models based on F1 Score, Precision, and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). Among the algorithms, the Autoencoder LSTM demonstrated superior performance with the highest precision (0.89) and the lowest MAE (0.00402). Its robustness in high-variability contexts enables early and reliable leak detection, providing a cost-effective solution for optimizing water management in resource-constrained environments.

An e-Commerce company has been using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for several years, but is still constrained in its implementation, this is reflected in the number of issue/change request tickets submitted by users who have not been able to reach ideal conditions. To overcome this problem, we need an appropriate reference model, the ERP system user acceptance model in companies. The study conducted factors that influence the level of acceptance of SAP ERP users in the XYZ group to then determine a model that is able to explain practically the level of ERP system user acceptance, which in turn can produce concrete proposals to increase ERP system user acceptance. Research is quantitative descriptive using factor analysis and regression analysis methods. The research method uses a questionnaire with a total of 107 valid respondents coming from 8 company names under the XYZ group in 6 Southeast Asian countries. The conclusion of the study is that there are 24 indicators and 4 factors that influence user acceptance of the SAP ERP system. These four factors are the low contribution of the ERP system, the quality of ERP systems and data, the development of ERP systems, and also the low quality of ERP system supporters. It is hoped that by optimizing the value of the 4 factors, the XYZ group can increase user acceptance of the SAP ERP system so that the system can provide benefits expected by the company to be competitive advantage. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

To day's society is different from the past, where the speed of the internet is getting more sophisticated, and the existing gadget technology is getting faster, and of course, this is also changing the lifestyle of today's people, which of course almost half of their daily life is spent in front of gadgets. On the one hand, this is undoubtedly very good and supports humans in carrying out their daily life activities, but on the other hand, this raises new problems where humans start to lack time to communicate and socialize with each other and often making them stressed and anxious because they are already tired and do not know how to socialize anymore. This paper begins with a model and implementation of a very simple mobile application that behaves as a social media inspired by *** as a social media for academics. The design of this mobile application is done by using use case diagrams to describe existing processes and class diagrams to describe class relationships.
