Tropical disease is one of the infectious diseases that affect Indonesia. Many people die because of tropical diseases, such as dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), chikungunya, leprosy, lymphatic, and filariasis. The Indonesian government's lack of public policy is the main problem in treating and preventing tropical diseases. The paper aims to describe the analysis results of the incidence of DHF in Jakarta, Indonesia. The analysis used the DHF incidences data from the Jakarta Health service surveillance office representative and combined it with the meteorological parameters data. The meteorological parameters were collected from the Bureau of Meteorological Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG). The statistical analysis of this research used Pearson's correlation. The results show that the meteorological parameters affecting DHF incidences are temperature, humidity, and wind speed.

Based on the policy of independent study and independent campus, where students can participate in part of the study period and load from within the campus, as well as others outside the campus, so that they can complete all periods and study loads as needed qualification is determined by the study program conducted through assessors. and this requires a variety of processes and takes a lot of time. For this reason, an alternative technique is needed to conduct an automatic Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment through the application of a recommendation system. The purpose of this research is to find out how the recommendation system approach is used to predict RPL assessments and provide support for curriculum development in tertiary institutions that can meet the learning needs of the digital community. This study has succeeded in classifying learning outcomes based on independent assessment data of prospective students and can provide recommendations for curriculum development in colleges that organize online learning. This study proves that the use of a recommendation system using deep learning in the RPL assessment has an accuracy (97, 24%) and is relatively the same as the assessor's assessment. © 2021 IEEE.

Cashless Transaction describes as a state where financial transactions are not bound by physical form such as banknotes or coins, but rather trough transfer of digital information (electronic representation of money). Cashless Transaction exists because of fast majorities of human transaction evolved towards digital environment, this creates an opportunity where legal money exists, recorded, and exchanged in digital form. Thus cashless transaction will make less effort in currency operation cost, keep on track with expenses, connected anytime everywhere as long as connected with internet, and eliminates the needs of banknotes or receipt. Cashless Transaction have done over the past few years making life easier by reducing a number of objects to merge into 1 functional object that could make payments faster and simpler starting with check the first mark of cashless transaction that's still being used nowadays, but cashless transaction doesn't stop evolving in this modern era where money is demonetized, cashless transaction is moving into the digital grid resulting a breakthrough mobile wallets and online transfer that offers people flexibility because its technology advancement makes it possible to make payments anytime and anywhere since it's only depend on a secure network(internet) and a platform, therefore cashless transaction could be done as fast as possible saving precious time. Cashless transaction has some of key components such as security, UX, Functionality, Performance and Data Integrity. Five key components could make cashless transaction become reality but also poses a different threat to cashless transaction. Hacking is one of them. Hacking could be done by anyone that have the ability to compromise the transmission, the transmission needs to have more data protection thus the cashless transaction could be done safely and free of risk. © 2020 ACM.

Food sustainability is still one of the main priorities for many countries as it contributes to the economy and stability of the nation. For government in many countries whose peoples consumes rice as its staple food, food self-sufficiency initiatives highly depend on accurate prediction of paddy field map. Mapping paddy field task is a challenging problem which cannot be handled manually especially when the paddy fields are spread out in very wide geographical areas such as those in Indonesia. Fortunately, wide availability of satellite imagery and the advent of deep learning technology in the past ten years have made it possible to improve efficiency of most parts of those manual works involving image semantic segmentation tasks. However, satellite image-based semantic segmentation is a challenging task. High object complexity, cloud partial occlusion, larger image size than a computer memory can stored can hinder accuracy of the image segmentation results. This paper presents a method for paddy field map generating using semantic image segmentation approach in which Pyramid Scene Parsing Net model is used for segmenting satellite imagery. The generated paddy map can be used as a basis for decision-making, especially in the agricultural sector. Analysis of local land use/land cover dynamics. The results of his experiments using SPOT 6 satellite imagery from the Pahung region of Central Kalimantan achieved average training accuracy, best training accuracy and test accuracy of 0.85, 0.86 and 0.89 respectively. These results indicated that the semantic segmentation model is suitable for addressing the same task in different crops.

Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) refers to the use of AI to automate the information creation process while fulfilling the personalized requirements of users. However, due to the instability of AIGC models, e.g., the stochastic nature of diffusion models, the quality and accuracy of the generated content can vary significantly. In wireless edge networks, the transmission of incorrectly generated content may unnecessarily consume network resources. Thus, a dynamic AIGC service provider (ASP) selection scheme is required to enable users to connect to the most suited ASP, improving the users’ satisfaction and quality of generated content. In this article, we first review the AIGC techniques and their applications in wireless networks. We then present the AIGC-as-a-service (AaaS) concept and discuss the challenges in deploying AaaS at the edge networks. Yet, it is essential to have performance metrics to evaluate the accuracy of AIGC services. Thus, we introduce several image-based perceived quality evaluation metrics. Then, we propose a general and effective model to illustrate the relationship between computational resources and user-perceived quality evaluation metrics. To achieve efficient AaaS and maximize the quality of generated content in wireless edge networks, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-enabled algorithm for the optimal ASP selection. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can provide a higher quality of generated content to users and achieve fewer crashed tasks by comparing with four benchmarks, i.e., overloading-avoidance, random, round-robin policies, and the upper-bound schemes. © 2023, CC BY.

Lockdowns, despite their conflicting restrictions and consequences they might offer when enforced as a national strategy, are deemed to be suggestive for a prompt conquer to the Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) outbreak. There have been some success stories such as in China, South Korea and our ASEAN member fellow, Vietnam, which exhibited extremely fallen numbers of COVID-19 cases post the enforcement of lockdown. Indonesia, however, remains in the crux of dispute whether or not the lockdown is opted to force COVID-19 transmission down under control. We, in this respect, employ the most popular model which has been broadly applied in the field of epidemiology, referred to as SEIRD (Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, Recovered, and Death), the extension form of an age-structured SEIR, where the Death (D) is included to provide more factual situation. We modify the I (Infectious) fraction as symp-tomatic (Is) and asymptomatic (Ia) infectives. There are three lockdown scenarios simulated in our modified SEIRD with the starting date are 26 April 2020 when the immediate lockdown was enacted-and a-week and two-week-gaps, respectively. We figured out that by stipulating the lockdown without delay (26 April 2020), the new cases could be kept below 10,000. A week delay escalates case number to 5,000 and delay for one more week results in beyond 20,000 new cases. Furthermore, when the intervention is delayed following the delayed lockdown, normalization would demand a longer period within which dealing with more critical and dying patients is unavoidable and should be more anticipated. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Context: In software development, new functionalities and bug fixes are required to ensure a better user experience and to preserve software value for a longer period. Sometimes developers need to implement quick changes to meet deadlines rather than a better solution that would take longer. These easy choices, known as Technical Debt, can cause long-term negative impacts because they can bring extra effort to the team in the future. Technical debts must be managed and detected so that the team can evaluate the best way to deal with them and avoid more serious problems. One way to detect technical debts is through source code comments. Developers often insert comments in which they admit that there is a need to improve that part of the code later. This is known as Self-Admitted Technical Debt (SATD). Objective: Evaluate a Long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network model combined with Word2vec for word embedding to identify design and requirement SATDs from comments in source code. Method: We performed a controlled experiment to evaluate the quality of the model compared with two language models from literature and LSTM without word embedding in a labelled dataset. Results: The results showed that the LSTM model with Word2vec have improved in recall and f-measure. The LSTM model without word embedding achieves greater recall, but perform worse in precision and f-measure. A collaborative course called Global Awareness for Technology Implementation was conducted by the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. The objective of this course was to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and experiences between Thai and Japanese students through project work, using an engineering design approach and the design thinking process to create innovation relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the class, experts shared their knowledge and experiences with the students. The students then worked on their respective projects to develop solution concepts using the design thinking process. The proposed ideas include the application for English class, smart water quality checker, hydrogen-based energy system for rural area, reduced wasted fashion solution, and auto waste sorting machine. Finally, this study concluded with a summary of the results and findings on the empathy process in the chosen SDGs, and of the commonalities and differences between Thailand and Japan in terms of ideation. © 2023 IEEE.

Metaverse provides embodied artificial-reality experience to the users in the virtual spaces. Many innovative and creative services such as virtual conference and tourism have been realized in the digital twins maintained by the virtual service providers (VSP) in Metaverse. Digital twins are digital copies of the physical world constructed virtually by the VSPs using real-world data. For a realistic experience, VSPs need to collect data that is up-to-date and relevant to their services. In this paper, we propose an incentive design framework to support the data trading between VSPs and edge devices. In the auction model, we model the valuation of data by considering data relatedness and data freshness. In our model, the semantic communication model is used to filter the relevant data, and the age of information (AoI) metric is used to assess the data freshness. Results show that by considering the data freshness, our mechanism helps to increase the average update frequency so that the VSPs obtain fresh data for construction of digital twins. Our model ensures the desired properties of individual rationality, incentive compatibility, and budget balance.

In this paper, we continue our investigations on digital nomadism and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the work-related aspects and lifestyle of digital nomads (DN). The findings presented in this empirical study reflect the analysis of the impact of COVID-19 outbreak (and its waves) on the market economy and work-life boundaries of DNs as perceived from posts and comments gathered from a Reddit community during the period of early March 2020 until the end of 2022. From this point, our results indicate that the massification of remote work among formal workers in response to COVID-19 pandemic has impacted both the formal labor market and the DN ecosystem. As a consequence, we argue that digital nomadism tends to play a critical role beyond work from (almost) anywhere (WFA) in a post-COVID-19 era taking into account the novel facets of nomadic work-lifestyle.
