Fuzzy Intelligence Learning Based on Bounded Rationality in IoMT Systems: A Case Study in Parkinson's Disease

As a cause of interfering with routine activities, freezing of gait (FOG) is a severe syndrome of Parkinson's disease (PD) and usually performs as an abrupt and momentary inability to effective stepping forward. Advanced wearable acceleration sensors based on socially implemented Internet of medical things (IoMT) devices can remotely provide a platform for recognizing FOG. However, due to the diverse data acquisition modes that appear in classic IoMT devices, the obtained data may contain imprecise, hesitant, and incomplete ones. Meanwhile, the bounded rationality owned by neurologists usually has a big impact on using wearable acceleration sensors to predict illnesses. Therefore, the objective of this article lies in exploring a fuzzy intelligence learning approach based on bounded rationality in IoMT systems and providing a valid scheme for biomedical data analysis. Specifically, a brand-new three-way group decision-making approach by means of TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for interactive multicriteria decision-making) with incomplete dual hesitant fuzzy (DHF) information and its applications in detecting FOG in PD using IoMT devices are systematically explored. First, taking advantage of DHF sets (DHFSs) when depicting realistic group decision information, the concept of multigranulation (MG) incomplete DHF information systems is built. Second, adjustable MG DHF probabilistic rough sets (PRSs) are further put forward via DHF similarity relations. Third, a three-way group decision-making approach is constructed by virtue of adjustable MG DHF PRSs and TODIM. Finally, the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the constructed three-way group decision-making approach are investigated by a University of California, Irvine (UCI) dataset with several experimental analyses in the background of FOG detection in PD using IoMT devices. The experimental result indicates that the developed fuzzy intelligence learning approach achieves reasonable diagnostic conclusions

A probabilistic public key encryption switching scheme for secure cloud storage

The high demand for user-centric applications such as secure cloud storage laid the foundation for the development of user-centric security schemes with multiple security features in recent years. But, the current state-of-art techniques primarily emphasized only one type of security feature i.e., either homomorphism or non-malleability. To fill this gap and provide a common platform for both homomorphic and non-malleable cloud applications, we have introduced a new public key-based probabilistic encryption switching method. The proposed scheme generates O(m+2 log N) bits of ciphertext where m∈ N and m< n, n∈ N is the plaintext size, N is the RSA composite. The superior performance of the proposed scheme has been tested in comparison to existing methods and is reported in this paper. © 2022, The Author(s).

Identifying suspicious activities or behaviors is essential in the domain of Anomaly Detection (AD). In crowded scenes, the presence of inter-object occlusions often complicates the detection of such behaviors. Therefore, developing a robust method capable of accurately detecting and locating anomalous activities within video sequences becomes crucial, especially in densely populated environments. This research initiative aims to address this challenge by proposing a novel approach focusing on AD behaviors in crowded settings. By leveraging a spatio-temporal method, the proposed approach harnesses the power of both spatial and temporal dimensions. This enables the method to effectively capture and analyze the intricate motion patterns and spatial information embedded within the continuous frames of video data. The objective is to create a comprehensive model that can efficiently detect and precisely locate anomalies within complex video sequences, specifically those featuring human crowds. The efficacy of the proposed model will be rigorously evaluated using a benchmark dataset encompassing diverse scenarios involving crowded environments. The dataset is designed to simulate real-world conditions where millions of video footage need to be continuously monitored in real time. The focus is on identifying anomalies, which might occur within short time frames, sometimes as brief as five minutes or even less. Given the challenges posed by the massive volume of data and the requirement for rapid AD, the research emphasizes the limitations of traditional Supervised Learning (SL) methods in this context. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Gesture recognition technology enables machines to read human gestures and has significant application prospects in the fields of human-computer interaction and sign language *** researches usually use convolutional neural networks to extract features directly from raw gesture data for gesture recognition,but the networks are affected by much interference information in the input data and thus fit to some unimportant *** this paper,we proposed a novel method for encoding spatio-temporal information,which can enhance the key features required for gesture recognition,such as shape,structure,contour,position and hand motion of gestures,thereby improving the accuracy of gesture *** encoding method can encode arbitrarily multiple frames of gesture data into a single frame of the spatio-temporal feature map and use the spatio-temporal feature map as the input to the neural *** can guide the model to fit important features while avoiding the use of complex recurrent network structures to extract temporal *** addition,we designed two sub-networks and trained the model using a sub-network pre-training strategy that trains the sub-networks first and then the entire network,so as to avoid the subnetworks focusing too much on the information of a single category feature and being overly influenced by each other’s *** results on two public gesture datasets show that the proposed spatio-temporal information encoding method achieves advanced accuracy.

Optical networks are generally designed to offer best of provider (QoS) guarantees to users, which will deliver provider of the appropriate satisfactory. However, because of availability, capacity, and infrastructure constraints, those QoS parameters might not be without problems optimized. This paper explores exclusive strategies for optimizing the QoS parameters in optical networks. It examines numerous techniques inclusive of community slicing and clever manipulate for improving carrier availability, quit-to-end latency, and quit-to-end throughput. It also investigates a couple of routing strategies, together with redundant packet routing, multipath routing, and dynamic routing, to improve hyperlink and node reliabilities, and common hop-matter. Sooner or later, it discusses the potential of the use of disbursed manipulate algorithms for adjusting various QoS parameters in real-time. The paper draws on a spread of simulation situations to demonstrate the effectiveness of these optimization strategies and algorithms. The logistic map with optimization with a novel Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) sequence operation-based novel image encryption scheme is generated. The best mask is obtained by enhancing the excellence of DNA which is the significant advantage of this approach. According to the image decryption and encryption process, correct errors and the similarity of DNA sequences are decreased by the DNA cryptogram becoming an input pace for DNA calculation. The maximum PSNR of encrypted images is obtained by the logistic map function to improve the performance of image security Ant Lion optimization (ALO). The image encryption and decryption process generate optima point DNA sequence rules. DNA coding: utilizing the complementary rule, each nucleotide is then changed into its base pair for a random time or times;the times are produced by Chebyshev maps. The experimental investigations provided better UACI, Number of Pixel Exchange Rate (NPCR), and Peak Signal Noise Ratio (PSNR). This strategy is significant because it increases entropy, which is the fundamental property of randomness, withstands multiple statistical and differential attacks, and produces positive experimental outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently, the diffusion-based generative paradigm has achieved impressive general image generation capabilities with text prompts due to its accurate distribution modeling and stable training process. However, generating diverse remote sensing (RS) images that are tremendously different from general images in terms of scale and perspective remains a formidable challenge due to the lack of a comprehensive remote sensing image generation dataset with various modalities, ground sample distances (GSD), and scenes. In this paper, we propose a Multi-modal, MultiGSD, Multi-scene Remote Sensing (MMM-RS) dataset and benchmark for text-to-image generation in diverse remote sensing scenarios. Specifically, we first collect nine publicly available RS datasets and conduct standardization for all samples. To bridge RS images to textual semantic information, we utilize a large-scale pretrained vision-language model to automatically output text prompts and perform hand-crafted rectification, resulting in information-rich text-image pairs (including multi-modal images). In particular, we design some methods to obtain the images with different GSD and various environments (e.g., low-light, foggy) in a single sample. With extensive manual screening and refining annotations, we ultimately obtain a MMM-RS dataset that comprises approximately 2.1 million text-image pairs. Extensive experimental results verify that our proposed MMM-RS dataset allows off-the-shelf diffusion models to generate diverse RS images across various modalities, scenes, weather conditions, and GSD. The increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related health issues has necessitated the development of innovative approaches to diet management. This research introduces the Adaptive Eating Pattern Predictor (AEPP), a novel machine learning algorithm designed to optimize diet maintenance by analyzing user food intake and fitness data. The AEPP combines the predictive capabilities of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with the probabilistic modeling of Markov Chains, enabling accurate forecasting of future eating patterns based on historical dietary and activity data. A comprehensive simulation analysis was conducted to evaluate the performance of the AEPP against existing algorithms, including traditional recommendation systems and basic machine learning models. Various simulation metrics, such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, were employed to compare the effectiveness of the AEPP in providing personalized dietary recommendations. The results demonstrate that the AEPP significantly outperforms existing algorithms, highlighting its potential as a valuable tool for individuals seeking to maintain a balanced diet in alignment with their fitness goals. This study contributes to the field of nutritional science by showcasing the advantages of integrating advanced machine learning techniques in personal diet management. © 2024 IEEE.

Watermarking of digital images is required in diversified applicationsranging from medical imaging to commercial images used over the ***, the copyright information is embossed over the image in the form ofa logo at the corner or diagonal text in the background. However, this formof visible watermarking is not suitable for a large class of applications. In allsuch cases, a hidden watermark is embedded inside the original image as proofof ownership. A large number of techniques and algorithms are proposedby researchers for invisible watermarking. In this paper, we focus on issuesthat are critical for security aspects in the most common domains like digitalphotography copyrighting, online image stores, etc. The requirements of thisclass of application include robustness (resistance to attack), blindness (directextraction without original image), high embedding capacity, high Peak Signalto Noise Ratio (PSNR), and high Structural Similarity Matrix (SSIM). Mostof these requirements are conflicting, which means that an attempt to maximizeone requirement harms the other. In this paper, a blind type of imagewatermarking scheme is proposed using Lifting Wavelet Transform (LWT)as the baseline. Using this technique, custom binary watermarks in the formof a binary string can be embedded. Hu’s Invariant moments’ coefficientsare used as a key to extract the watermark. A Stochastic variant of theFirefly algorithm (FA) is used for the optimization of the technique. Undera prespecified size of embedding data, high PSNR and SSIM are obtainedusing the Stochastic Gradient variant of the Firefly technique. The simulationis done using Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) tool and it is shown that theproposed technique outperforms the benchmark techniques of watermarkingconsidering PSNR and SSIM as quality metrics.
