Rolling element bearings constitute the key parts on rotating machinery and their fault diagnosis are of great importance. In this paper, a novel Two-Step fault diagnosis framework is proposed to diagnose the status of rolling element bearings with imbalanced data. The Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) is used to determine the feature vectors. 16-dimensional wavelet packet node energies were extracted from the original datasets as the feature vectors prepared to input to the classifiers. Next, our proposed framework consists of two steps for the fault diagnosis, where Step One makes use of Weighted Extreme Learning Machine (weighted ELM) in an effort to classify the normal or abnormal categories, and Step Two further diagnoses the underlying anomaly in details. The effectiveness of our proposed approach is testified on the raw data collected from the rolling element bearing experiments conducted in our Institute, and the empirical results showed that our approach is really fast and can achieve the diagnosis accuracies more than 95%.

Despite impressive recent advances in the synthesis of lead chalcogenide solid nanoparticles, there are no examples of lead chalcogenide hollow nanoparticles (HNPs) with controlled diameter and shell thickness as current synthetic approaches for HNPs have inherent limitations associated with their complexity, inability to precisely control the dimensions, and limited possibilities with regard to applicable materials. Herein, we report on an unconventional strategy for crafting uniform lead chalcogenide (PbS and PbTe) HNPs with tailorable size, surface chemistry, and near‐IR absorption. Amphiphilic star‐like triblock copolymers [polystyrene‐block‐poly(acrylic acid)‐block‐polystyrene and polystyrene‐block‐poly(acrylic acid)‐block‐poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene)] were rationally synthesized and exploited as nanoreactors for the formation of uniform PbS and PbTe HNPs. Compared to their solid counterparts, the near‐IR absorption of the HNPs is blue‐shifted owing to the hollow interior. This strategy can be readily extended to other types of intriguing low‐band‐gap HNPs for diverse applications.

After publication of this article, the authors noticed that a N-C dimension error was unwillingly coded in the 3D NMR spectrum "***" processing script used to perform backbone assignments for this enzyme. The authors noticed that some OBS, CAR and LAB values in the "***" had been switched in the y and z dimensions, probably resulting from a wrong NMRPipe selection when reading the Varian NMR experimental parameters. They have carefully re-processed, re-analyzed, re-assigned, in addition to checking all scripts to evaluate the extent of this processing error on the published assignments. Authors determined that the "***" error resulted in a significant number of incorrect backbone resonance assignments, requiring us to issue corrections in Figs. 2, 3 and 4 of this published manuscript, in addition to Table S1. New versions of these figures and table are provided below. The corresponding BMRB entry has also been revised. The authors note that these modifications do not change the global message, conclusions, and molecular dynamics simulations presented in this article. The authors are grateful to David N. Bernard (INRS) for help with finding and correcting these errors.
