We experimentally demonstrate the C-band wavelength conversion using four-wave mixing in a 17-mm-long silicon-on-insulator waveguide pumped by a dispersed mode-locked femtosecond laser pulse. The idler can be observed with an incident average pump power lower than 4 dBm, and about 35 nm of conversion bandwidth from 1530nm to 1565nm is measured by using a 1550-nm pump wavelength. The pulse-pumped efficiency is demonstrated to be higher, by more than 22 dB, than the cw-pumped efficiency. The conversion efficiency variations with respect to the pump and signal powers are also investigated.

In order to verify the correctness of PLC programs by formal methods, the definition of denotational semantics on PLC program language was studied to achieve PLC programs modeling and model checking. Based on the extended λ-calculus definition, the configuration of PLC program architecture, denotational semantics of PLC programs and functions of denotational semantics were defined, which proves the basis of model checking and theorem.

Lane keeping assistance systems help the driver in following the lane centerline. While lane keeping assistance systems are available in some mass production vehicles, they have not found widespread use and are not as common as ESP or ACC at the moment. Lane keeping assistance systems still need further development. Previously available systems have to be continuously adapted to newer vehicle models and fully tested after this adaptation. An image processing algorithm for lane detection and tracking, a lane keeping assistance controller design and a real time hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) simulator developed for testing the designed lane keeping assistance system are therefore presented in this paper. The high fidelity, high order, realistic and nonlinear vehicle model in Carmaker HiL runs as software in a real time simulation on a dSpace compact simulator with the DS1005 and DS2210 boards. A PC is used for processing video frames coming from an in-vehicle camera pointed towards the road ahead. Lane detection and tracking computations including fitting of composite Bezier curves to curved lanes are carried out on this PC. In the present setup, the camera used is a virtual camera attached to the virtual vehicle in Carmaker and provides video frames from the Carmaker animation screen. A dSpace microautobox is available for obtaining the lane data from the PC and the Carmaker vehicle data from the dSpace compact simulator and calculating the required steering actions and sending them to the Carmaker vehicle model. The lane keeping controller is designed in the Matlab toolbox COMES using parameter space techniques. The motivation behind this approach is to develop the lane keeping assistance system as much as possible in a laboratory hardware-in-the-loop setting before time consuming, expensive and potentially dangerous road testing. network security situation awareness provides the unique high level security view based upon the security alert events. But the complexities and diversities of security alert data on modern networks make such analysis extremely difficult. In this paper,we analyze the existing problems of network security situation awareness system and propose a framework for network security situation awareness based on knowledge discovery. The framework consists of the modeling of network security situation and the generation of network security situation. The purpose of modeling is to construct the formal model of network security situation measurement based upon the D-S evidence theory,and support the general process of fusing and analyzing security alert events collected from security situation sensors. The generation of network security situation is to extract the frequent patterns and sequential patterns from the dataset of network security situation based upon knowledge discovery method and transform these patterns to the correlation rules of network security situation,and finally to automatically generate the network security situation graph. Application of the integrated network Security Situation Awareness system (Net-SSA) shows that the proposed framework supports for the accurate modeling and effective generation of network security situation.
