A security authentication protocol based on number theory research unit (NTRU) for industrial control devices is proposed to address the security of data transmission in industrial control systems and the lack of resistance to attacks of security authentication protocols. Most of the original protocols contain complex encryption and decryption operations, which are difficult to run on industrial control devices with simple structures and cannot resist new types of network attacks. In this paper, the protocol takes advantage of the simple operation of NTRU public key encryption system and sets the authorization center to send only the public key of the device in a variant form to achieve the purpose of resisting new attacks such as quantum attacks and internal attacks, and the anti-attack capability is strengthened. © 2023 IEEE.

To address the pressing need for intelligent and efficient control of circulating fluidized bed(CFB)units,it is crucial to develop a dynamic model for the key operating parameters of supercritical circulating fluidized bed(SCFB)***,data-knowledge-driven dynamic model of bed temperature,load,and main steam pressure of the SCFB unit has been ***,a knowledge-driven method is employed to develop a dynamic model for key operating parameters of SCFB *** model parameters are determined based on the operating data of the unit and continuously optimized in real ***,Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory combined with Convolutional Neural network and Attention Mechanism is utilized to build the dynamic model of bed temperature,load,and main steam ***,a collaboration and integration method based on the critic weight method and the variation coefficient method is proposed to establish data-knowledge-driven model of key operating parameters for SCFB *** model displays great accuracy and fitting ability compared with other methods and effectively captures the dynamic characteristics,which can provide a research basis for the design of intelligent flexible control mode of SCFB unit.

Optimal path planning avoiding obstacles is among the most attractive applications of mobile robots(MRs)in both research and *** this paper,an optimal collision-free algorithm is designed and implemented practically based on an improved Dijkstra *** achieve this research objectives,first,the MR obstacle-free environment is modeled as a diagraph including nodes,edges and ***,Dijkstra algorithm is used offline to generate the shortest path driving the MR from a starting point to a target *** its movement,the robot should follow the previously obtained path and stop at each node to test if there is an obstacle between the current node and the immediately following *** this aim,the MR was equipped with an ultrasonic sensor used as obstacle *** an obstacle is found,the MR updates its diagraph by excluding the corresponding ***,Dijkstra algorithm runs on the modified *** procedure is repeated until reaching the target *** verify the efficiency of the proposed approach,a simulation was carried out on a hand-made MR and an environment including 9 nodes,19 edges and 2 *** obtained optimal path avoiding obstacles has been transferred into motion control and implemented practically using line tracking *** study has shown that the improved Dijkstra algorithm can efficiently solve optimal path planning in environments including obstacles and that STEAM-based MRs are efficient cost-effective tools to practically implement the designed algorithm.

Many sophisticated cloud platforms are available to provide services such as storage and computation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. However, with the concerns about the semi-trusted nature of cloud platforms, data security and privacy have been gaining broad attention. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-assisted verifiable data sharing scheme (BAV-DSS) for IoT. The BAV-DSS features fine-grained access control, fast encryption, and outsourced decryption with verifiability. Specifically, with the application of ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE), flexible access control is enabled. Blockchain is employed to store public keys, generate account addresses, and perform data verification. Furthermore, the selective replayable chosen ciphertext attacks (sRCCA) security of BAV-DSS is proved, and the simulation results indicate that BAV-DSS obtains high efficiency and practicality compared to other schemes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) hydrogen production technology can range in size from small, appliance-size equipment to large-scale, central production facilities that can be tied directly to renewable or non-greenhouse-gas-emitting forms of electricity production, making it an ideal resource for demand response (DR). The SOEC hydrogen production system is a complex integrated system that encompasses fluid dynamics, electrical dynamics, and electrochemical and thermal dynamics, all of which involve non-linearity and non-convexity. Proper control of the SOEC hydrogen production system is crucial to enable its participation in the DR program. To overcome the difficulty of designing an explicit control law for such nonlinear systems with nonconvex optimization features in DR applications, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is explored to achieve the optimal control of the SOEC system for DR participation. Specifically, a twin delayed deterministic policy gradient (TD3) control framework is applied to achieve optimal response performance during DR events by considering power tracking error and hydrogen production efficiency with a suitable reward function. Two case studies with grid connections for tracking different DR commands were investigated. The first case study involved operating conditions reaching the boundaries, while the second involved operating conditions within the boundaries. The results showed that the proposed DRL-based control for SOEC can track the DR signal in a timely manner while maintaining high energy efficiency. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

The frequency of malicious activities by cyber attackers is on the rise, posing a significant challenge to counter cyber attacks in the Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) environment. The vulnerability of wireless networks, which serve as the primary communication media for MEC servers and IoT applications, is due to their open nature of communication. This work proposes a MEC architecture that utilizes network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Service Function Chain (SFC) to combat cyber adversaries. Additionally, we evaluate the performance of a cyber deception system, which leverages a software-defined networking (SDN) controller and decision- maker to continuously monitor incoming MEC traffic and direct cyber adversaries to a deception MEC server. The deception MEC server collects information about cyber adversaries' intent, capabilities, and potential damage to the system, thus securing legitimate users from cyber attacks. The proposed approach was evaluated using Monte Carlo simulations, and numerous results were obtained which demonstrate the effectiveness of cyber deception in MEC. © 2023 IEEE.

Conductors within a loaded electric machine commonly induce the highest loss. Numerous cooling solutions exist for high-power density electric machine conductors with external water jackets being the most common. The inherent disadvantage of water jacket cooling is the thermal resistance between the conductor and the cooling medium, which reduces the maximum cooling capacity, regardless of the jacket design. This restriction commonly leads designers to implement solutions such as end-turn cooling. The advances in additive manufacturing have unlocked new potential for conductor end-turn cooling. This paper investigates an additively-manufactured conductor with an integrated end-turn heat exchanger. The conductor is based around a Formula Student in-hub motor. This concept utilizes air-cooling and demonstrates a steady-state current density of 11 A/mm2 for a AlSi10Mg end-turn heat-exchanger conductor, without the added mass and complexity of liquid cooling solutions. If copper is used instead of AlSi10Mg, this value increases to approximately 22 A/mm2. © 2022 IEEE.

There are several advantages to the MIG(Metal Inert Gas)process,which explains its increased use in variouswelding sectors,such as automotive,marine,and construction.A variant of the MIG process,where the sameequipment is employed except for the deposition of a thin layer of flux before the welding operation,is the AMIG(Activated Metal Inert Gas)*** study focuses on investigating the impact of physical properties ofindividual metallic oxide fluxes for 304L stainless steel welding joint morphology and to what extent it can helpdetermine a relationship among weld depth penetration,the aspect ratio,and the input physical properties ofthe *** types of oxides,TiO_(2),SiO_(2),Fe_(2)O_(3),Cr_(2)O_(3),and Mn_(2)O_(3),are tested on butt joint design withoutpreparation of the edges.A robust algorithm based on the particle swarm optimization(PSO)technique is appliedto optimally tune the models’parameters,such as the quadratic error between the actual outputs(depth and aspectratio),and the error estimated by the models’outputs is *** results showed that the proposed PSOmodel is first and foremost robust against uncertainties in measurement devices and modeling errors,and second,that it is capable of accurately representing and quantifying the weld depth penetration and the weld aspect ratioto the oxides’thermal properties.

The capacity of Deep Learning to automatically learn features from source code has facilitated its extensive utilization in detecting software vulnerabilities. However, existing pre-trained models regard code snippets as token sequences, neglecting the inherent structure of the code. The utilization of graph-based code representations is constrained by the limitations of Graph Neural networks, particularly the difficulty in capturing long-range dependencies, which renders it challenging to learn grammatical and semantic information from complex code graph representations. This paper proposes a novel multi-scale software vulnerability detection method based on supervised contrastive learning. The method integrates local features obtained from code paths with structural features extracted from the Code Property Graph by GraphTrans, thereby achieving a multi-scale feature representation of the source code. Additionally, a supervised contrastive loss function is employed during training in order to fully utilize label information and address the class imbalance problem. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods, achieving the highest accuracy, precision, and F1 on the real-world benchmark dataset CodeXGLUE for software vulnerability detection. © 2024 Knowledge systems Institute Graduate School.
