This paper deals with the consensus control of a multi-agent system with state and measurement disturbances, and proposes a distributed dynamic output feedback protocol. By defining an appropriate controlled output, the consensus control problem is reformulated as an H_(infinity) control problem. Using H_(infinity) techniques, a sufficient condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is given to ensure consensus with the prescribed H_(infinity) performance, and the undetermined system matrix of the proposed protocol is obtained. Simulation results show that a multi-agent system under the proposed protocol with system matrix solved by the LMI (linear matrix inequality) approach possesses the desired H_(infinity) consensus performance.

In this paper, a novel interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm is proposed, which utilizes a multi-sensor optimal information fusion rule to combine multiple models in the linear minimum variance sense instead of famous Bayes' rule. Furthermore, the diagonal matrices are used as the updated weights of models, which are applied to distinguish the effects produced by different dimensions of state, so the new algorithm is named as diagonal interacting multiple model (DIMM) algorithm. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations indicate that the proposed DIMM algorithm has better accuracy of estimation than the IMM algorithm with no increase in the execution time, which confirm that the DIMM algorithm is a competitive alternative to the classical IMM algorithm.

This paper deals with the robust iterative learning control (ILC) problem for time-delay systems (TDS) subject to matched parameter uncertainties. Based on two-dimensional (2-D) approach, a stability analysis of the ILC process is developed in the sense that the control error converges monotonically as a function of iteration. It shows that a sufficient condition for the ILC stability can be given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which derives learning gains directly. Simulation results show that the ILC system under a law using gains solved by the LMI approach is robustly stable and monotonically convergent.

This report summarizes the proceedings of the one day BioSharing meeting held at the Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) 2010 conference in Boston, MA, USA This inaugural BioSharing event was hosted by the Genomic Standards Consortium as part of its M3 & BioSharing special interest group (SIG) workshop. The BioSharing event included invited talks from a range of community leaders and a panel discussion at the end of the day. The panel session led to the formal agreement among community leaders to join together to promote cross-community knowledge exchange and collaborations. A key focus of the newly formed Biosharing community will be linking up resources to promote real-world data sharing (virtuous cycle of data) and supporting compliance with data policies through the creation of a one-stop-portal of information. The paper describes the design and implementation of Qplus Smartphone Edition based on embedded Linux. Existing Smartphone platforms entailed royalty expenses and had custornization difficulties due to the closure of their source codes. The Qplus Smartphone Edition requires no royalty because it is based on the embedded Linux. And, it supports key navigation functionality such as moving between folders or running applications with key-only operations. It also provides more user friendly environment through screen interfaces and indicators similar to those of the cellular phones.

This paper describes the vertical handover architecture with Low Latency Handover for mobile terminals which supports interworking between heterogeneous networks. The vertical handover architecture defines handover-related modules for mobile terminal and the handover switching flows among them. We adapt Low Latency Handover method to Mobile IP for reducing handover time. The architecture is designed to be easily extended to support more than two heterogeneous networks, so that it is easy to apply architecture to terminals that have multiple heterogeneous wireless network interfaces. We analyze the performance of handover method in terms of handover delay time using test bed system.

Accurate software effort estimation has always been challenge for software engineering communities. To improve the estimation accuracy of software effort, many studies have focused on effort estimation methods without any consideration of data quality, although data quality is one of important factors to impact to the estimation accuracy. In this paper, we investigate the influence of outlier elimination upon the accuracy of software effort estimation through empirical studies applying two outlier elimination methods(Least trimmed square and K-means clustering) and three effort estimation methods(Least squares, Neural network and Bayes ian network) associatively. The empirical studies are performed using two industry data sets(the ISBSG Release 9 and the Bank data set which consists of the project data performed in a bank in Korea) with or without outlier elimination. A new nonlinear protocol is proposed for state consensus of multi-agent systems in this paper. It is shown that this protocol can provide faster convergence rate than the typical linear protocol, presented by Olfati-Saber and Murray, and furthermore guarantees the states of agents reach a consensus in finite time, provided that the interaction topology, represented by a directed graph, has a spanning tree.

This paper describes the design and implementation of Mobile Cobrowsing Service based on embedded Linux Mobile Cobrowsing supports the sharing of same web page among mobile users. For effective web page sharing among mobile users, Mobile Cobrowsing provides the synchronization of web page movement, synchronization of web page scroll, synchronization of annotation, and management of control authority. It also provides the voice chatting function among users. Mobile Cobrowsing is developed on MCC mobile terminal made by ETRI and we verify the Mobile Cobrowsing service using web page contents.
