In this paper, a class of hybrid impulsive systems with time delays and stochastic effects are considered. We obtain some criteria on the global exponential stability in mean square for the impulsive stochastic delayed systems. To do this, differential inequalities and ℒ-operator inequalities are developed. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.

We propose a system that can record driving events and detect unsafe driving behaviors. Three sensors, an engine control unit (ECU) reader, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a camera are used, in which they represent the car, the passenger, and the driverpsilas perspective. Our system combines data from these three sensors with a fuzzy inference system to identify an event of hazardous driving. The output of the system is the driving risk level ranging from 1 to 3, where 1 is the safest. The output of the system was verified by comparison with a questionnaire from three passengers in a test run experiment.

Owing to the difference of soil water in the farm,a system of variable rate irrigation was developed with Visual C++ and MapObjects that can save water as well as can improve economy *** water content can be forecasted by using the forecast model of soil water,according to the real soil water content of different sampling sites in this *** or not can be decided by comparing the current soil content with the light drought and serious drought index of the *** water amount of irrigation can be decided by the analysis of economy benefit according to the model of water consumption-yield,thus the irrigation prescription map can be created..This system can also query the information of fields,manage and analysis the data of *** test was performed in national precision agriculture demo farm.

The operating principle of the RF MEMS phase shifter is described. A novel design concept for dual-frequency RF MEMS phase shifter is proposed. By using network theory and CST microwave studio simulation tool, the proposed RF MEMS phase shifter is modelled. Simulation results show that the proposed model has the return loss less than -10dB and the insertion loss more than -2dB in two operating frequencies, both of which are more than 1 GHz bandwidth. For one RF MEMS phase shifter, both 180-degree and 90-degree phase shift are realized.

One-time password (OTP) is always used as the strongest authentication scheme among all password-based solutions. Currently, consumer devices such as smart card have implemented OTP based two-factor authentications for secure access controls. Such solutions are economically sound without support of timestamp mechanisms. Therefore, synchronization of internal parameters in OTP models, such as moving factor or counter, between the client and server is the key challenge. Recently, a novel phenomenon shows that two interacting neural networks, called Tree Parity Machines (TPM), with common inputs can finally synchronize their weight vectors through finite steps of output-based mutual learning. The improved secure TPM can well be utilized to synchronize parameters for OTP schemes. In this paper, TPM mutual learning scheme is introduced, then two TPM-based novel OTP solutions are proposed. One is a full implementation model including initialization and rekeying, while the other is light-weight and efficient suitable for resource-constrained embedded environment. Security and performance on the proposed protocols are at final discussed.

In this paper, a role-based access control (KBAC) model is applied and extended to a multimedia version called multi-role based access control (MRBAC), which can fully support the comprehensive and multilevel security control requirements of the distributed multimedia applications. The object-oriented concept is adopted in MRBAC to perform the hybrid role hierarchy management and security roles and rules administration. In summary, MRBAC can: 1) support the multi-level security protection for multimedia data; 2) provide access control by checking both the time constrains and IP addresses; and 3) decentralize the administration functions to make the access control management more efficient.

In this paper, we address the problem of localization-oriented optimal cameras selection based upon a tradeoff between the accuracy of target localization and the energy consumption in camera sensor networks. We model the addressed problem into the combined optimization problem of selecting a sequence of sets to minimize the cost while achieving a specified utility. Using the vision-based localization model, we construct an entropy-based utility function. This utility function quantizes reduction in the entropy of the target location distribution according to the fusion of the selected camera observations with the prior target location distribution. Furthermore, we design an algorithm to find the optimal subset of cameras based on the criteria: minimizing the cost while attaining a specified accuracy of localization. We conduct experiments to validate and evaluate our proposed scheme.

Multiplication operations are the normal operations in operating systems or scientific calculations. Multipliers embedded in processors, DSP or SoC are well optimized for best performance, and they are sensitive to test overhead. Instruction level test is a popular functional test approach for microprocessors test, and it can get satisfactory test results. But for the multipliers, one important part of microprocessors, there is no detail on how to testing them. This paper presents an instruction level test approach for the multiplier test. The proposed approach does not modify the multipliers and does not need any extra logic just using instructions of the processors to test processorspsila multipliers. Sequentially it does not have any test cost on area or timing. Moreover the instruction-level test is suited for at-speed test in nature. Experimental results on the real processorpsilas circuits show that the instruction level test approach has good effect on parallel multipliers.

This paper presents the effect of atmospheric attenuation during severe hazy days for free space optical communications. The usage of free space optical communications is still rare in Malaysia due to environment factor. The FSO technology is also known as unguided beam or dasiaoptical wirelesspsila or infrared broadband. This study offers quick preliminary investigation on possible FSO performance based on wavelength selection before final commissioning and installation at site. Thus, FSO installers could make quick judgment before giving recommendation of a suitable wavelength to the customers. Preliminary evaluation of system performance of system performance is done by using local weather data obtained from metrological department. Current study among designers and FSO users show that 1550 nm light produce less atmospheric attenuation in the transmission under all weather conditions. In this study, a suitable wavelength for FSO system is found for a particular site in low visibility. The best wavelength selection would result in optimized quality of FSO transmission in hazy conditions.
