The Probability Hypothesis Density (PHD) Filter was developed as a method for tracking a time varying number of targets without data association. The first order statistical moment of the multiple target posterior distribution called the Probability Hypothesis Density which is represented by discrete samples or particles gives the expected locations of the targets. This property is used instead of the full multi-target posterior distribution as it is rcquires significantly less computation and particle tilter implementations have demonstrated lhe potential of the algorithm to be used for real-time tracking applications. In this article, an application of the Particle PHD Filler is demonstrated to track a variable number of objects in threedimensiond sonar images estimating both the number of targets and their locations. The number of targets is estimated at each iteration by computing the mass of lhe particle weights. The locations of the targets are determined by extracting peaks of the PHD which is a distinct task from the computation of the particles. Previous approaches have used the Expectation Maximisation (EM) algorithm to fit a Gaussian mixture model whose time complexity is quadratic in the number of targets which is not ideal for a real-time tracking appiication and so alternative clustering techniques are considered here. A comparison is made between the methods for the accuracy of estimation, robustness and the time taken.

The current issue for the Access Network Service Delivery is to swiftly accommodate newly-generated service product by way of minimizing the influence caused by the change of the legacy system. Korea experienced the rapidily changing Access Network Facility. In order to follow up rapidly changing environment, Network Service Provider(NSP)s have to develop the flexible and cost effective Operations Support system(OSS)s. The service delivery management based on the conventional concepts is difficult to support the proper service delivery of the newly compound and cross-domain Internet services. Because of the severe competition among the service providers, the dence house pattern near the wire center, the governmental support, and the huge demands for internet usage among the younger generation, the importance of the Access Network Service Delivery grows larger. We propose nested workflow process for the cross domain Internet Service with PM(Provisioning Model). Dividing into several sub work process and simplified Master Workflow for cross domain service delivery can manage the large scale and complex work into simple work and flow. Access Network Service delivery can be divided into several main jobs. Service order classification, Outside Plant Management, Inside Plant Management, Activation, Facility Service Confirmation and Send result to Billing system. Nested Hierarchical Structure can balance the complexity and simplification. The OSS for access network service can manage the service installation at low cost and deliver the Internet services efficiently by choose and use appropriate provisioning models for each network models for the Internet service environments. Arithmetic operation's execution time in real-time system is bounded by deadlines. The method commonly used to meet these deadlines is by employing any suitable process-scheduling algorithm, which may contain a potential weakness. If time needed to operate is longer than its deadline, then the result's quality will be poor. This is mainly caused by the algorithms of the arithmetic operations commonly used nowadays do not choose the most significant data to be processed first. This research tries to design new algorithm and its processing unit that works based on real-time principles, which starts its computation process from the highest valued digit and provides its intermediate-results that can be accessed anytime during the process. Designing tool used in this research is MAX+plus II Baseline 10.2 software. This research accomplishes in showing the performance of the new algorithm and its processing unit, which is better than the performance of the conventional algorithm.

This paper proposes a two-level schema for the automatic detection of possible errors in speech recognition hypotheses. Given the recognition hypothesis of an utterance, the first level in our schema applies an utterance classifier (UC) to decide if the hypothesis is error-free or erroneous. In the latter case, the utterance is passed on to the second level in our schema for further processing. A word classifier (WC) is applied to each of the word hypotheses in the utterance to decide whether or not it is a misrecognition. Hence the two-level schema can locate error-containing regions in the recognition hypotheses. These are the target regions to which we can apply more sophisticated and expensive language models for error correction as a next step. We have developed UC and WC based on Support Vector Machines (SVM). Experiments on Mandarin Chinese speech recognition using the Speech-Lab-In-A-Box corpora showed that the UC has a detection error rate of 16.5% for misrecognized utterances;the WC has a detection error rate of 19.8% for erroneous word hypotheses;and the overall two-level schema can catch 44.5% of the erroneous word hypotheses.

The development of a model for hydrogen storage in carbon nanotubes was discussed. The molecular dynamics calculations were carried out for an armchair single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT). The stabilization energy of a complex was calculated as a difference between the total energy of the complex and the sum of the energies of its constituent parts. The results show that a poisoning of SWNT by Co results in a total inactivation of the adsorption active sites, thus rendering the storage of hydrogen utterly unfeasible.

The use polymer-organoclay nanocomposites for packaging was analyzed. The estimation of the molecular surface areas and volumes of the quats was performed via the Connolly dot algorithm, corrected to account for quantom effects. It was found that the binding energy between the polyamides and the quat, and between the quat and the montmorillonite increased with increasing V, although with a different slope. Under the hypothesis that the clay platelets were uniformly dispersed within the polymer matrix, the pristine clay still yielded a high interfacial strength between montmorillnite (MMT) and the polyamines.

Due to the explosive growth of the Internet, stream services are becoming more popular. The large media servers supporting thousands of concurrent media streams have to satisfy us with both good throughout and high availability. Although they are reciprocal from the viewpoint of system performance, the stream service continuity, as well as throughput, should be considered in clustered media servers. This is because media stream services should be continuously available to the clients even on the event of system failure. In this paper, we introduce service availability as the gauge of service degree on media servers, and present the basic scheme for guaranteeing continuous stream service. To do this, we propose LSS(Log Stream Status) and RRD(Ready Resource for instant Delivery) mechanisms. They are classified according to the status management method of stream service and the resumption method of closed service. Although these mechanisms require additional overhead, we found that they can be applied to clustered media servers with minimum overhead. Additionally, we concluded that they can provide higher quality of service availability on traditional clustered media servers.
