Cloud-based AI services offer numerous benefits but also introduce vulnerabilities, allowing for tampering with deployed DNN models, ranging from injecting malicious behaviors to reducing computing resources. Fingerprint samples are generated to query models to detect such tampering. In this paper, we present Intersecting-Boundary-Sensitive Fingerprinting (IBSF), a novel method for black-box integrity verification of DNN models using only top-1 labels. Recognizing that tampering with a model alters its decision boundary, IBSF crafts fingerprint samples from normal samples by maximizing the partial Shannon entropy of a selected subset of categories to position the fingerprint samples near decision boundaries where the categories in the subset intersect. These fingerprint samples are almost indistinguishable from their source samples. We theoretically establish and confirm experimentally that these fingerprint samples' expected sensitivity to tampering increases with the cardinality of the subset. Extensive evaluation demonstrates that IBSF surpasses existing state-of-the-art fingerprinting methods, particularly with larger subset cardinality, establishing its state-of-the-art performance in black-box tampering detection using only top-1 labels. The memristive Computing-in-Memory (CIM) sys-tem can efficiently accelerate matrix-vector multiplication (MVM) operations through in-situ computing. The data layout has a significant impact on the communication performance of CIM systems. Existing software-level communication opti-mizations aim to reduce communication distance by carefully designing static data layouts, while wear-leveling (WL) and error mitigation methods use dynamic scheduling to enhance system reliability, resulting in randomized data layouts and increased communication overhead. Besides, existing CIM compilers di-rectly map data to physical crossbars and generate instructions, which causes inconvenience for dynamic scheduling. To address these challenges of balancing communication performance and reliability while coordinating existing CIM compilers and dy-namic scheduling, we propose a disorder-resistant computation translation layer (DRCTL), which improves system lifetime and communication performance through co-optimization of data layout and dynamic scheduling. It consists of three parts: (1) We propose an address conversion method for dynamic scheduling, which updates the addresses in the instruction stream after dynamic scheduling, thereby avoiding recompilation. (2) Dynamic scheduling strategy for reliability improvement. We propose a hierarchical wear-leveling (HWL) strategy, which reduces communication by increasing scheduling granularity. (3) Communication optimization for dynamic scheduling. We propose data layout-aware selective remapping (LASR), which helps dynamic scheduling methods improve communication lo-cality and reduce latency by exploiting data dependencies. The experiments demonstrate that HWL extends lifetime by 100.3-205.9 x compared to not using WL. Even with a slight lifetime decrease compared to the state-of-the-art WL (TIWL), it still supports continuous neural network training for 7 years. Polarization and waveform optimization can significantly improve the detection ability of fully polarized radar. However, in practical scenarios, atmospheric particles frequently induce depolarization effects on radar waves, thereby influencing precise target detection, a phenomenon predominantly observed with raindrop particles. This paper establishes a target detection model for fully polarized radar in rainy condition. Subsequently, a joint transceiver iterative optimization algorithm is devised, utilizing the maximum output signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the system as the benchmark, and imposing dual constraints of energy and resemblance on the transmitting waveform. Ultimately, the effectiveness of the proposed method under rainy condition is validated through simulation, and recommendations for engineering applications are provided based on the analysis. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2023.

With the increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a variety of applications, their safety has become a critical concern. UAVs face numerous emergencies during missions, in these situations, the UAVs need to autonomously find a suitable landing site, plan flight routes, and avoid obstacles in unstructured environments. However, due to the limitations of computing power and sensors, it is challenging to achieve this goal. This research aims to explore the monocular emergency autonomous landing algorithm. Specifically, this work focuses on extracting depth and vision information. A topology information extractor is designed to convert image to graph and assess the connectivity of terrain. Additionally, a depth information extractor is designed to calculate the slope and roughness of the ground. A 3D topology optimizer is designed to optimize the graph by depth information and evaluate the landing suitability by a heuristic strategy. To make the action decision, a hybrid decision network (DGN) based on 3D topology information is proposed. Finally, this work build a simulated scenario based on real scene to verify the efficiency of DGN. The results of the experiment show that DGN outperforms its counterparts in terms of action prediction accuracy and landing success rate.

Emerging cross-point memory can in-situ perform vector-matrix multiplication (VMM) for energy-efficient scientific computation. However, parasitic-capacitance-induced row charging and discharging latency is a major performance bottleneck of subarray VMM. We propose a memory-timing-compliant bulk VMM processing-using-memory design with row access and column access co-optimization from rethinking of read access commands and μ-op timing. We propose row-level-parallelism-adaptive timing termination mechanism to reduce tail latency of tRCD and tRP by exploiting row nonlinear charging and bulk-interleaved row-column-cooperative VMM access mechanism to reduce tRAS and overlap CL without increasing column ADC precision. Evaluations show that our design can achieve 5.03× performance speedup compared with an aggressive baseline.

Federated Learning (FL), hailed as a potent approach in merging medical expertise, promises to elevate collaborative efforts among healthcare institutions while safeguarding the privacy and security of sensitive medical data, thereby energizing the trajectory of intelligent healthcare advancements. However, the diversity in training objectives across medical institutions can diminish their active participation in a unified federated training process. To address this issue of waning enthusiasm due to diverse training goals, in this paper, we propose Personalized Medical Federated Learning method based on Mutual Distillation Knowledge (pFedMKD). Specifically, we propose a similarity-based mutual distillation model selection algorithm that reduces interference among medical institutions with notably diverse data distributions. Moreover, we develop a server-side local model update method leveraging mutual knowledge distillation, enabling each local model to gain beneficial insights for personalization from analogous models. Additionally, we formulate a personalized model update method utilizing knowledge distillation from specifically labeled samples, thereby improving the performance of personalized models. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to the baseline algorithm, pFedMKD can more effectively address the target heterogeneity problem among different medical institutions, enabling each institution to achieve higher personalized performance in federated learning tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Federated Learning (FL), as one of the effective methods to solve the problem of medical data silos, can promote mutual cooperation among medical institutions under the premise of safeguarding the privacy and security of medical data, and effectively promote the development of intelligent medical treatment. However, the characteristics of medical data with multiple sources and heterogeneity bring certain challenges to the application of federated learning in the medical field. Due to the wide range of medical data sources, some medical institutions are unable to complete the federated learning training task on time due to the limitation of device performance, which leads to the failure of federated learning training. To address the problem of heterogeneity of computing devices among medical institutions that may cause some clients to fall behind, we propose an Adaptive Federated Learning based on Device Performance (AFedDP) method. Specifically, we design an adaptive local model training method to reduce the computational burden of medical institutions with poor equipment performance in the local model training process by adaptively constructing a local training model. Additionally, we propose a hierarchical model aggregation algorithm based on dynamic weight. This allows the heterogeneous adaptive local model to actively participate in the global model aggregation, making full use of the local data of each medical institution and improving the performance of the global model. Finally, we design an aggregation weight update algorithm based on momentum optimization to enhance the stability of global model aggregation. This algorithm updates contribution and aggregation weight with the idea of momentum optimization. Simulation experiments demonstrate that AFedDP achieves higher accuracy compared to the baseline algorithm.
