The aim of this study is the development of the method of generating and filling the template of ontology for the quality of the concrete software and method of forming the logical conclusion about the sufficiency of information of software requirements specification (SRS) for software quality assessment (by ISO 25010:2011). The first time proposed method of generating and filling the template of ontology for the quality of the concrete software leaves in the relevant ontology only measures, which are available in the SRS for the concrete software. It provides forming the ontology for the quality of the concrete software. The first time developed method of forming the logical conclusion about the sufficiency of the SRS information for software quality assessment provides the conclusion about the sufficiency or insufficiency of the SRS information for software quality assessment by ISO 25010:2011. If the SRS information is insufficient, this method: provides the conclusion for which characteristics and sub-characteristics the information is insufficient; creates the sorted list of missing measures as the recommended priority of their addition in the SRS; evaluates the veracity of software quality assessment based on the available in the SRS measures.

The Universal Morphology (UniMorph) project is a collaborative effort providing broad-coverage instantiated normalized morphological inflection tables for hundreds of diverse world languages. The project comprises two major thrusts: a language-independent feature schema for rich morphological annotation and a type-level resource of annotated data in diverse languages realizing that schema. This paper presents the expansions and improvements made on several fronts over the last couple of years (since McCarthy et al. (2020)). Collaborative efforts by numerous linguists have added 67 new languages, including 30 endangered languages. We have implemented several improvements to the extraction pipeline to tackle some issues, e.g. missing gender and macron information. We have also amended the schema to use a hierarchical structure that is needed for morphological phenomena like multiple-argument agreement and case stacking, while adding some missing morphological features to make the schema more inclusive. In light of the last UniMorph release, we also augmented the database with morpheme segmentation for 16 languages. Lastly, this new release makes a push towards inclusion of derivational morphology in UniMorph by enriching the data and annotation schema with instances representing derivational processes from MorphyNet. This paper deals with the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) problem. The main objective is to limit it by controlling the main reasons that may lead to it. Sudden infant death syndrome is the death without specific reason of a healthy newborn, usually during sleep. Although the causes are unknown, SIDS may be related to abnormalities in the infant's brain that controls breathing and arousal from sleep. Researchers have identified several measures that increase the risk on their babies. Thus, this paper proposes a low cost system that may help in monitoring the baby vital signs responsible for the SIDS and sending notifications to parents when abnormalities are encountered. The system is based on a microcontroller that regroups all sensors' outputs and a mobile application that displays these values, controls the video coming from a camera and send notifications in case of abnormal signals. The system was tested over 10 newborns (between 1 month and 2 years) over 3 weeks and the alarms were going well. © 2017 IEEE.

The paper, basing on analysis of the Monte-Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) method and specific features of its behavior for various cases of usage, proposes a new variant of the method, which was called as Monte-Carlo Tree Search with Tree Shape Control (MCTS-TSC) and which uses original Depth-Width Criteria (DWCs) for both tree shape estimation and control during search and for estimation and selection of potentially better options for search continuation. Proposed Tree Shape Control (TSC) technique can be used with some other tuning, pruning, and learning techniques. Besides, it can provide better scheduling of MCTS parallelization.

This paper focuses on the latest version of a tool developed within the department to guide developer through the various steps of requirements, test-procedures and documentations to finally download the derived algorithm on a safety programmable logic controller (PLC). Requirements on how to develop and how to test software are steadily increasing due to international standards, which have to be obeyed in industries in general, and in the process- and automation industries in particular. A simple model is derived to be used to develop a PI controller that has to pass several steps to be qualified for execution on a PLC. The paper explains the different steps and describes the various problems that might occur. © 2016

The software reliability represents one of the most crucial aspects of functional safety. Software is used in almost any electronic systems. When a safety-critical system is considered, it has to be ensured that the software is able to fulfil the minimum safety requirements. If this is not the case, the software will have to be improved until the minimum requirements are fulfilled. Reliability growth models are used to determine the reliability of software. Depending on the area of application one specific model can deliver better prognosis results than another. This paper serves to introduce a methodology, which is provided for the purpose of selecting the most appropriate model.

In this paper, the Test Pattern Generation (TPG) with a new simple hybrid (dynamic and static) compaction technique for combinational logic circuits and systems is presented. Digital systems are implemented nowadays on an advance VLSI technology, which is called Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The test procedure requires a deliberate introduction of faults in the system Under Test (SUT). FPGA circuits and systems are developed and written in Hardware Description Languages (HDLs). In addition, a novel method is also proposed and implemented in order to intentionally inject faults in the Verilog HDL code design of the SUT. It covers all possible fault locations in the SUT. This approach provides high quality compact test vectors and efficient memory utilization in comparison with other state-of-the-art methods. Not only are the hardness of individual faults and the sensitiveness of fault locations determined, but also their effectiveness is proposed in the fault tolerance strategy.

The diagnosis of possible faults in railway signaling systems is an important issue to provide safe travel and transportation in railways. Signaling system designers have to consider the possible faults which may occur in railway field components both on the requirements preparation phase and on the development phase of the signaling system software or namely, the interlocking system. Although the diagnosis of different unobservable faults is relatively hard, especially for large scale railway fields, this complexity can be overcome by using the Discrete Event system (DES) based modular diagnosis approach which is explained in this paper. The main advantage of using such modular approach for fault diagnosis in fixed-block signaling systems is the inspection of the diagnosability of the whole system with respect to its subsystems (railway field components). In this study, the diagnosability of the railway field equipment and the whole system is also explained with a case study. © 2016

This paper aims to develop a sensor based monitoring and analyzing system for Neuro-Degenerative Disorder patients (NDD);this may consist on SpO2 sensor, Electrophysiological sensors, NIBP, Motion Capture sensors and Eye Monitoring sensor, taking into consideration an acceptable cost for the whole system. Recorded data will be sent to an embedded decision making unit where detection, analysis, classification, prediction and action control will occur. The sensors and the decision making unit will be implemented in a comfortable jacket that doesn't affect the patients' movements and that can be used by several patients with reduced sensor placement alterations. The decision that can be made is creating a stimulus to avoid falling in case of sudden stop while moving, initiating an alarm, sending a notification to a mobile phone application, and/or telemedicine monitoring features. Artificial Neural Networks will be used to classify and predict the abnormal cases where action should be taken, and since the sensors will be continuously recording, it is possible to achieve continuous learning for the ANN as a first phase. Initial models will be defined by testing normal behaviors and some known abnormal behaviors or symptoms related to the electrical activity and other characteristics of the heart, oxygen saturation level, eye activity and body motion. © 2016 IEEE.

This paper aims to present a universal mask that enables all adult patients to use it. This mask has a universal size and head gear. It has many options; from among we list the embedded SpO2 and EEG electrode connections. This mask enables also the input of oxygen, nebulizer, air CPAP and medication. A mechanical switch is used to select between air CPAP and nebulizer.
