Metallised polypropylene film capacitors(MPPFCs)are widely used in power electronics and are generally degraded by elevated *** work aims to determine the relationships between the structural changes of MPPFC and the microstructural variations of the PP film during the thermal ageing of MPPFC at 100℃ for 38 *** capacitance of MPPFC has a slight decrease during thermal ***,the breakdown voltage of the MPPFC decreases by 39.4%by the *** partial discharge(PD)number of MPPFC increases linearly with ageing *** tear-down analysis of the MPPFC reveals that the molecular structure of the PP film has not been altered but has led to molecular chain scission and the generation of some polar fragments/***,the relative permittivity of the PP films rises as the ageing time ***,thermal ageing causes the conversion of aluminum to alumina in the metallised electrode,which is hydrophilic for polar groups and leads to an adhesion effect between the metallised electrodes and the PP *** angle measurements prove that the surface hydrophilicity of the PP sample increased after thermal ***,the PD/breakdown voltage in the MPPFC increases/decreases due to the uneven adhesion of the metallised PP film.

In addressing issues like an excessive number of network parameters and the loss of fine texture details in image super-resolution reconstruction approaches based on diffusion models, this passage introduces a novel image super-resolution model (FELSDiff). This model relies on the fusion of diffusion models, feature extraction, and latent space. FELSDiff utilizes a Pre-trained CNN for initial super-resolution to extract the primary low-band features and part high-band features of the image. The preliminary super-resolved image is then concatenated as a condition to this model. We introduce a cross-attention mechanism guided by the high-band features of the preliminary super-resolved image to enhance the network's feature extraction capability and obtain more effective features. In the U-Net structure, we incorporate a latent space strategy, enabling the model's training and inference processes to be conducted in the latent space, thereby reducing the number of network parameters. Experimental results on multiple standard datasets indicate that this method outperforms other advanced methods overall. © 2024 IEEE.

In deep learning, supervised learning techniques usually require a large amount of expensive labeled data to train the network, and the feature representations extracted by the model usually mix multiple attributes, resulting in feature representations that are difficult to decouple and are non-interpretable, which restricts the application and development of deep learning techniques, and for this reason, it is particularly important to study decoupled feature representation methods for unsupervised learning. Although the Learning deep representations by mutual information estimation and maximization (DIM) method achieves excellent results in unsupervised learning, the feature representations learned by the DIM method still suffer from the problem of difficult decoupling. decoupling problem. To address this problem, we minimize the mutual information between the intermediate layer feature representations learned by the hidden layer of the encoder during the encoder training process, so that the features learned by each filter are as uncorrelated as possible, thus realizing feature decoupling, and our method is called FP-DIM. Finally, the effectiveness of the FP-DIM method is verified on the CIFAR-10, STL-10, and Fashion-MNIST datasets. The experiments show that our proposed FP-DIM method is more significant for the learned decouplable middle layer feature representation. Finally, we also propose a reflection of future research for the FP-DIM method, aiming to provide a research idea and direction for solving unsupervised interpretable machine learning and to lay a solid theoretical and application foundation for machine learning fields such as image classification and migration learning. © 2023 IEEE.

Using Lock-Free Design for Throughput-Optimized Cache Eviction

In large-scale information systems, storage device performance continues to improve while workloads expand in size and access characteristics. This growth puts tremendous pressure on caches and storage hierarchy in terms of concurrent throughput. However, existing cache eviction policies often struggle to provide adequate concurrent throughput due to their reliance on coarse-grained locking mechanisms and complex data structures. This paper presents a practical approach to cache eviction algorithm design, called Mobius, that optimizes the concurrent throughput of caches and reduces cache operation latency by utilizing lock-free data structures, while maintaining comparable hit ratios. Mobius includes two key designs. First, Mobius employs two lock-free FIFO queues to manage cache items, ensuring that all cache operations are executed efficiently in parallel. Second, Mobius integrates a consecutive detection mechanism that merges multiple modifications during eviction into a single operation, thereby reducing data races. Extensive evaluations using both synthetic and real-world workloads from high-concurrency clusters demonstrate that Mobius achieves a concurrent-throughput improvement ranging from 1.2× to 8.5× over state-of-the-art methods, while also maintaining lower latency and comparable cache hit ratios. The implementation of Mobius in CacheLib and RocksDB highlights its effectiveness in enhancing cache performance in practical scenarios. © 2025 ACM.

To enhance the generalization of multi-objective feature selection (MOFS) in classification, this paper proposes an evolutionary multitasking algorithm, diverging from previous approaches that exclusively target selected features. The algorithm integrates information from both selected and unselected features, introducing a novel objective to minimize the accuracy of unselected features. This objective, combined with the goal of minimizing classification errors for selected features, forms an auxiliary MOFS task. The paper presents a dual-population evolutionary multitasking framework that synergizes the main MOFS task with the auxiliary task. A knowledge transfer mechanism, based on accuracy preferences, seamlessly shares insights from the auxiliary to the main task, aiming to identify improved Pareto feature subsets. Empirical results demonstrate the superior performance of several state-of-the-art multi-objective algorithms within this framework, highlighting significant improvements across diverse datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Disentangle Nighttime Lens Flares: Self-supervised Generation-based Lens Flare Removal

Lens flares arise from light reflection and refraction within sensor arrays, whose diverse types include glow, veiling glare, reflective flare and so on. Existing methods are specialized for one specific type only, and overlook the simultaneous occurrence of multiple typed lens flares, which is common in the real-world, e.g. coexistence of glow and displacement reflections from the same light source. These co-occurring lens flares cannot be effectively resolved by the simple combination of individual flare removal methods, since these coexisting flares originates from the same light source and are generated simultaneously within the same sensor array, exhibit a complex interdependence rather than simple additive relation. To model this interdependent flares’ relationship, our Nighttime Lens Flare Formation model is the first attempt to learn the intrinsic physical relationship between flares on the imaging plane. Building on this physical model, we introduce a solution to this joint flare removal task named Self-supervised Generation-based Lens Flare Removal Network (SGLFR-Net), which is self-supervised without pre-training. Specifically, the nighttime glow is detangled in PSF Rendering Network(PSFR-Net) based on PSF Rendering Prior, while the reflective flare is modelled in Texture Prior Based Reflection Flare Removal Network (TPRR-Net). Before software developers actually start coding, an essential requirement is to be proficient in a programming language. However, as an important learning resource, programming language textbooks usually contain much about syntax and semantics of a programming language, but little about pragmatics, which is highly relevant with practical skills in solving real-world problems using programming languages. This makes it difficult for learners to transfer knowledge from textbooks to *** solve this problem, this paper proposes a programming language learning service, utilizing abundant development knowledge in Stack Overflow (SO) Q&A posts as the pragmatics knowledge of programming languages to make up for the shortage of pragmatics knowledge in textbooks. To link SO Q&A posts with textbooks, this paper first proposes a deep learning classification model to recognize SO posts containing development knowledge. Second, to align filtered SO posts with programming language learning processes, this paper proposes a weakly supervised link approach to matching SO posts with chapters and sections of textbooks. The feature of weak supervision ensures that the approach can be easily extended to other textbooks. Based on these modules above, this paper implements the programming language learning service in the form of a Chrome plugin. We conduct experiments and user study. Their results demonstrate the effectiveness, scalability and stability of the service. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) based algorithm for charging control of multiple electric vehicles (EVs) in an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) with dynamic operations. By taking the uncertainties of EV users’ behaviors and charging prices into consideration, a Markov game with multiple objectives is first established, where the individual objective of reducing EV charging costs and the collective objective of mitigating charging load fluctuations are both studied. Then, a multi-agent actor-double-critic (MAADC) algorithm with a unified advantage actor-critic framework is proposed, where two advantage functions are designed as the local and global critics, and the integrated actor is employed to balance the learning towards the individual and collective objectives. Mining World Indicators for Analyzing and Modeling the Development of Countries

The world indicators released by the World Bank or other organizations usually give the basic public knowledge about the world. However, separate and static index lacks the complex interplay among different indicators and thus cannot help us have an overall understanding of the world. To this end, we study the world indicators from a different angle. Firstly, we discover that there exist correlations between indicators either from a static view or from a dynamic view. Moreover, taking the trade and diplomatic relationships into consideration, we construct a multi-relational network to depict the interactions between different countries, and propose a Multiple Relations to Vector (MR2vec) model to study world indicators from a network perspective. The experimental results show the changes of world indicators are predictable with the proposed model, and our proposed MR2vec has wide adaptability in predicting multi-relation networks. © 2022 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
