Multimodal Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (MABSA) aims to extract aspect terms from text-image pairs and identify their sentiments. Previous methods are based on the premise that the image contains the objects referred by the aspects within the text. However, this condition cannot always be met, resulting in a suboptimal performance. In this paper, we propose COnditional Relation based Sentiment Analysis framework (CORSA). Specifically, we design a conditional relation detector (CRD) to mitigate the impact of the unmet conditional image. Moreover, we design a visual object localizer (VOL) to locate the exact condition-related visual regions associated with the aspects. With CRD and VOL, our CORSA framework takes a multi-task form. In addition, to effectively learn CORSA we conduct two types of annotations. One is the conditional relation using a pretrained referring expression comprehension model;the other is the bounding boxes of visual objects by a pretrained object detection model. Experiments on our built C-MABSA dataset show that CORSA consistently outperforms existing methods. With the advent of the 5G era, the development of IoT technology has been accelerated. Due to the continuous increase in the amount of data waiting to be processed from the edge, edge nodes may struggle to handle such a vast amount of data. Therefore, the technology of cloud-edge collaboration has emerged, and how to achieve cloud-edge collaborative task scheduling has become a current research hotspot. This article provides a detailed exposition of the relevant work on task scheduling in the cloud-edge environment, and outlines the common optimization objectives in the cloud-edge collaboration scenario. The methods used to solve task scheduling problems are classified and summarized, including heuristic, heuristic algorithm based on linear programming, and meta-heuristic algorithms. The advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm are analyzed. Finally, the development trends of large-scale task scheduling in the cloud-edge environment are discussed, providing valuable insights for achieving real-time performance, efficiency, and energy conservation in the Internet of Things. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Exploring the usefulness of light field super-resolution for object detection

In order to solve the impact of image degradation on object detection, an object detection method based on light field super-resolution(LFSR) is proposed. This method takes LFSR as an image enhancement step to provide high-quality images for object detection without using expensive imaging equipment. To evaluate this method, three types of objects: person, bicycle, and car, are chosen and the results are compared from 5 parts: detected object quantity, mean confidence score, detection results in different scenes, error detection, and detection results from different images sizes and detection speed. Experimental results based on the common object in context(COCO) dataset show that the method incorporated LFSR improves performance of object detection models.

With the rapid development of the aviation industry, flight delays have become a global issue, resulting in significant economic losses and passenger dissatisfaction. Accurately determining the causes of flight delays is crucial for airlines, air traffic management, and passengers. This study proposes an Adversarial Defense of the Transductive Support Vector Machine (ad-TSVM) algorithm to address the problem of flight delay causing determination. The ad-TSVM algorithm generates adversarial samples through adversarial training techniques and incorporates these samples into the Transductive Support Vector Machine (TSVM) to improve the model's classification accuracy and robustness. Compared to traditional methods, ad-TSVM can more precisely attribute the responsibility for flight delays to various stakeholders, such as airlines, air traffic control, weather, and air traffic flow, while resisting adversarial attacks. Experimental results demonstrate that the ad-TSVM algorithm significantly outperforms traditional TSVM and other standard machine-learning algorithms regarding classification accuracy on multiple real-world datasets. Additionally, the algorithm exhibits excellent performance in resisting adversarial attacks, effectively enhancing the model's robustness and reliability. This study addresses flight delay cause determination challenges, offering theoretical support for further research and practical applications in related fields. © 2025 SPIE ·

Emotional space refers to a multi-dimensional emotional model that describes a group of subjective feelings or emotions. Since the existing discrete emotional space is mainly aimed at human’s primary emotions, it cannot describe the complex emotions evoked when watching movies. In order to solve this problem, an emotional fusion space for videos was constructed by selecting movies and TV dramas with rich emotional semantics as the research objects. Firstly, emotional words based on movie and TV drama videos are acquired and analyzed by using subjective evaluation and semantic analysis methods. Then, the emotional word vectors obtained from the above analysis are fused, reduced dimension by t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding(t-SNE) algorithm, and clustered by bisecting K-means clustering algorithm to get a discrete emotional space for movie and TV drama videos. This emotional fusion space can obtain different categories by changing the value of the emotion classification number without re-labeling and calculation.

Power flow(PF)is one of the most important calculations in power *** widely-used PF methods are the Newton-Raphson PF(NRPF)method and the fast-decoupled PF(FDPF)*** smart grids,power generations and loads become intermittent and much more uncertain,and the topology also changes more frequently,which may result in significant state shifts and further make NRPF or FDPF difficult to *** address this problem,we propose a data-driven PF(DDPF)method based on historical/simulated data that includes an offline learning stage and an online computing *** the offline learning stage,a learning model is constructed based on the proposed exact linear regression equations,and then the proposed learning model is solved by the ridge regression(RR)method to suppress the effect of data *** online computing stage,the nonlinear iterative calculation is not *** results demonstrate that the proposed DDPF method has no convergence problem and has much higher calculation efficiency than NRPF or FDPF while ensuring similar calculation accuracy.

To address the problem of illegal information flow in the node chain access control model constructed by the existing attribute-based access control (ABAC) model when applied to a large-scale node chain scenario with more than 100 nodes, an illegal information flow detection method is proposed for the node chain access control model based on the classical Petri net. The method introduces the reachable identity and reachable identity graph of the classical single-Token Petri net, which can analyze the illegal information flow in the ABAC-based node-chain access control model conveniently and visually. Meanwhile, it can effectively use the reachable identity state in the Petri net to detect the illegal information flow in the model. The case analysis shows that the method can effectively detect the illegal information flow appearing in the model. © 2023 ACM.

Current optimization methods for microgrid scheduling face issues such as insufficient precision in energy distribution, high operational costs, and inefficiency. In response to these challenges, an optimization scheduling method for multi-energy microgrids based on the QUBO (Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization) quantum computing model is proposed in this paper, alongside a discretization approach based on a grid partitioning strategy. To validate the feasibility of addressing microgrid optimization scheduling problems in a quantum computing environment, a QUBO model is constructed and simulation studies are conducted in the qbsolv environment provided by D-Wave. The results indicate that operational costs are significantly reduced with an increase in the number of grids, particularly a reduction of 4.52% when the number of grids increases from five to ten. This method not only effectively enhances the precision of electricity supply and energy utilization efficiency but also reduces unnecessary electrical waste and economic costs. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Osteochondral defect caused by trauma or osteoarthritis exhibits a major challenge in clinical treatment with limited symptomatic effects at *** regeneration and remodeling of subchondral bone play a positive effect on cartilage regeneration and further promotes the repair of osteochondral *** use of the strengths of each preparation method,the combination of 3D printing and electrospinning is a promising method for designing and constructing multi-scale scaffolds that mimic the complexity and hierarchical structure of subchondral bone at the microscale and nanoscale,*** this study,the 3D printed-electrospun poly(ɛ-caprolactone)/nano-hydroxyapatites/multi-walled carbon nanotubes(PCL/nHA/MWCNTs)scaffolds were successfully constructed by the combination of electrospinning and layer-by-layer 3D *** resulting dual-scale scaffold consisted of a dense layer of disordered nanospun fibers and a porous microscale 3D scaffold layer to support and promote the ingrowth of subchondral ***,the biomimetic PCL/nHA/MWCNTs scaffolds enhanced cell seeding efficiency and allowed for higher cell-cell interactions that supported the adhesion,proliferation,activity,morphology and subsequently improved the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in ***,this study elucidates that the construction of 3D printed-electrospun PCL/nHA/MWCNTs scaffolds provides an alternative strategy for the regeneration of subchondral bone and lays a foundation for subsequent in vivo studies.
