Aiming at the two main shortcomings in Homology Modeling, we have designed and established a domain clustering database. Searching the database is a fundamental work for it. However, current alignment algorithms are mainly based on the sequences, ignoring the structure conservation in domain. This paper proposed a profile-based alignment which considers the structure information into the profile, based on the character of our domain database. We designed an experiment within the database. The results show that both the quality and sensitivity of our scheme are better than pure Smith-Waterman and sequence-based profile algorithms. We strongly believe that this work can help to improve the protein structure prediction

The OSGi provides a service platform which ensures the interoperability between heterogeneous technologies and various devices in home network environment. Nowadays, user access control is one of the core parts which should be cleared, but there are no concrete researches yet. So in this paper, we propose a supplemented authorization policy management framework based on RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) for user access control at home network environment in which the OSGi service platform is operated. The proposed access control framework improves effectiveness, assures privacy and provides convenience at the same time. In conclusion, we provide the base to implement the effective, safe, and convenient the OSGi service platform by proposing the new framework in authorization and user administration part.

In this article, some methods are proposed for enhancing the converging velocity of the COA (chaos optimization algorithm) based on using carrier wave two times, which can greatly increase the speed and efficiency of the first carrier wave's search for the optimal point in implementing the sophisticated searching during the second carrier wave is faster and more accurate. In addition, the concept of using the carrier wave three times is proposed and put into practice to tackle the multi-variables optimization problems, where the searching for the optimal point of the last several variables is frequently worse than the first several ones.

Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks are capable of providing wireless connectivity seamlessly and continuously to any part of the world with guaranteed short round-trip propagation delay. As a key part of next generation network (NGN) infrastructure, next generation satellite networks are expected to support a variety of applications with diverse performance requirements. This paper argues that the constellation tomography for the LEO satellite network is a preliminary step for efficient satellite network monitoring and performance promotion. To measure the constellation, a divide-and-conquer mechanism is developed for each parameter estimation by delay probing. The delay measurement is only carried out between two terminals located at the same geographic positions. Performance evaluation on several popular polar LEO constellations proves the accuracy and efficiency of the developed constellation tomography algorithms in divide-and-conquer manner. The geographic position limitation of the delay probing terminals for valid constellation inference is also analyzed in the paper

The highly topological dynamics characterize the most fundamental property of satellite networks contrary to the terrestrial networks. This manifest feature directs the researches on various aspects of satellite networks, including routing and switching architecture selection, routing protocol and reliable transmission control protocol design and enhancement, etc,. The paper quantifies the dynamical activates of layered satellite network topologies. The number and length of network snapshots of one-layered satellite constellations are formulated concisely. The snapshot distributions of typical multi-layered constellations are also evaluated. With this work, it compensates for the simplified topological assumptions in many satellite network related investigations. The thorough understanding of this basic feature not only provides for an accurate quantification of network behavior, but also guides constellation design for future satellite networks

One of many fiber non-linear effects is a four-wave mixing (FWM) phenomenon that is resonant when phase matching condition is satisfied. It only occurs for particular combinations of fiber dispersion and signal frequencies. In particular, phase matching is achieved for signals with very similar frequencies propagating near the zero dispersion wavelength of the fiber. This paper proposes optical wavelength conversion based on FWM assisted by Raman amplification. The conversion bandwidth extends to 125nm, the widest yet reported for wavelength conversion using highly non-linear fiber (HNLF) irrespective to the conversion efficiency value. This paper presents a digital rights management model, which considers the integrated factors including legality, communication security, integrity of the content, and trading fairness. The architecture of the model, the necessary protocol for the copyright control and content distribution, the authentication mechanism which offer consumption registration for content fair distribution, of the model are all provided. The scheme also provides distribution and evidence for using the copyright of digital content fairly and effectively. Finally, analysis shows the proposed model has both high security and good performance.

Integral-controller particle swarm optimization (ICPSO), influenced by inertia weight w and coefficient ψ is a new swarm technology by adding accelerator information. Based on stability analysis, the convergence conditions imply the negative selection principles of inertia weight w, and the relationship between w and ψ. To improve the computational efficiency, an adaptive strategy for tuning the parameters of ICPSO is described using a new statistical variable reflecting computational efficiency index-average accelerator information. The optimization computing of some examples is made to show that the ICPSO has better global search capacity and rapid convergence speed.
