Research and development related to smart city is evolving as a response to the issues faced by cities mostly in developing countries. However, prior studies are mostly focused on technical perspective which alone cannot lead to a sustainable society. Accordingly, this study develops a trivial approach that identifies crucial dimensions to be considered in achieving and improving city potential in being a smart city. Moreover, a qualitative research method was adopted by carrying out a single case study to confirm the identified dimensions. The data was collected through archival research technique and semi-structured interviews from practitioners based in Malaysia. Findings from this study indicate that cities should incorporates governance, mobility, living, facilities, services, environmental, social, economic, technologies and information to achieve a sustainable, prosperous and inclusive future for its citizens. Significantly, the developed trivial approach can be adopted by sustainable city managers in planning, designing, deploying and monitoring of sustainable city goals towards a sustainable society for future generations to come.

Customer churn prediction has been used widely in various kind of domain especially subscription-basis industries. With the rapid growth of telecommunication industry over the last decade, this industry not only focuses on providing numerous products, but also satisfying the customers as it is one of the key solutions to remain competitive. This research proposed MultiLayer Perceptron Method for churn prediction. The evaluation is compared with three classifiers which includes are Support Vector Machine, Naïve Bayes and Decision Tree in term of several aspects. In preprocessing phase, we employed Principal Component Analysis and normalization to find the correlation among all the variables. For the postprocessing, InfoGainAttribute is used to identify the highest factor attribute that leads to customer retention. It is found that MultiLayer Perceptron outperforms other classifiers and international plan plays important role to retain customer from leaving organization.

In this study, we have fabricated the arrays of convex microstructures on single crystal silicon (SCS) substrates using the procedure which includes two types of anisotropic etching process. We f irstly fabricated the arrays of micropillars with vertical sidewalls using deep reactive ion etching (D-RIE) process of SCS. After that, we etched the micropillars additionally using the anisotropic wet etching process of SCS. We investigated the etched shape of the convex microstructures in the microfabrication procedure, and successfully fabricated the arrays with bilayer etching masks composed of the layer of aluminum and silicon dioxide with the controlled thickness.
