Reliable Code Generation and Test Environment demonstrated on a PI-Controller Design

This paper focuses on the latest version of a tool developed within the department to guide developer through the various steps of requirements, test-procedures and documentations to finally download the derived algorithm on a safety programmable logic controller (PLC). Requirements on how to develop and how to test software are steadily increasing due to international standards, which have to be obeyed in industries in general, and in the process- and automation industries in particular. A simple model is derived to be used to develop a PI controller that has to pass several steps to be qualified for execution on a PLC. The paper explains the different steps and describes the various problems that might occur. © 2016

The SCIP Optimization Suite provides a collection of software packages for mathematical optimization centered around the constraint integer programming framework SCIP. This paper discusses enhancements and extensions contained in version 8.0 of the SCIP Optimization Suite. Major updates in SCIP include improvements in symmetry handling and decomposition algorithms, new cutting planes, a new plugin type for cut selection, and a complete rework of the way nonlinear constraints are handled. Additionally, SCIP 8.0 now supports interfaces for Julia as well as Matlab. Further, UG now includes a unified framework to parallelize all solvers, a utility to analyze computational experiments has been added to GCG, dual solutions can be postsolved by PaPILO, new heuristics and presolving methods were added to SCIP-SDP, and additional problem classes and major performance improvements are available in *** Codes 90C05, 90C10, 90C11, 90C30, 90C90, 65Y05 Copyright © 2021, The Authors. In this article e-leaming traffic which is served by system on the hyper convergent platform is considered. It was done the analysis of the known methods of determine the degree of pulsation of traffic. The method for calculating of e-learning traffic peakedness is proposed. A Fuzzy Inventory Model of Deteriorating Items with Stock-dependent Demand under Limited Storage Space

A profit maximization deteriorating multi-item inventory model with stock-dependent demand is developed in fuzzy environment. Here, the available space for inventory storage is limited, holding cost and selling price are purchasing price dependent and the rate of production is finite and uniform. The fuzzy environment is created making the inventory costs, purchasing price, storage area and the rate of deterioration imprecise and vague to certain extent. The impreciseness of these parameters are expressed by linear and non-linear membership functions. The fuzzy model is solved by fuzzy non-linear programming (FNLP) method and illustrated with a numerical example. The results of the fuzzy model are compared with those of the crisp model. Parametric study of the model and its sensitivity with respect to some parameters are presented.

Neurons use electricity in order to communicate to each other. Due to numerous signals sent by neurons, there are oodles of electrical activity in the brain. Sensitive equipment like electroencephalogram (EEG) biosensor perceives the brainwaves emanated from neurons. Beta waves are responsible for problem solving or decision making and associated with attention. Alpha waves are associated with now and meditation. Neurosky EEG biosensor perceives the brainwaves and transforms these brainwaves into attention and meditation values. In this study, Neurosky EEG biosensor is used for measuring the attention and meditation levels of students. A program is developed in C# medium. The developed program records raw brainwave data, attention and meditation average while the students are studying. As the attention and meditation levels are high, the students learn the subjects in the course. If predetermined meditation and attention level are not caught, the developed program does not give permission to pass to another subject. Because of that the students have less meditation and attention average than the predetermined value; they get fewer grades in the exam.

Given a synchronous system, we study the question whether - or, under which conditions - the behaviour of that system can be realized by a (non-trivially) distributed and hence asynchronous implementation. In this paper, we partially answer this question by examining the role of causality for the implementation of synchrony in two fundamental different formalisms of concurrency, Petri nets and the π-calculus. For both formalisms it turns out that each 'good' encoding of synchronous interactions using just asynchronous interactions introduces causal dependencies in the translation. © Cambridge University Press 2014.

This study concerns with singularly perturbed systems of second-order reaction-diffusion equations in ODE's. To handle this type of problems, a numerical-asymptotic hybrid method is employed. In this hybrid method, an efficient asymptotic method, the so-called Successive complementary expansion method (SCEM) is applied first and then, a numerical method based on finite differences is proposed to approximate the solution of the corresponding singularly perturbed reaction-diffusion systems. This report proposes a new approach to determination of security complex metric. Such approach allows to obtain a quantitative assess based on network security recorded monitoring. Assessment of separate network host, which could be accessed from other networks, is conducted. Proposed metric considers a possibility of attack propagation within the network.

The diagnosis of possible faults in railway signaling systems is an important issue to provide safe travel and transportation in railways. Signaling system designers have to consider the possible faults which may occur in railway field components both on the requirements preparation phase and on the development phase of the signaling system software or namely, the interlocking system. Although the diagnosis of different unobservable faults is relatively hard, especially for large scale railway fields, this complexity can be overcome by using the Discrete Event System (DES) based modular diagnosis approach which is explained in this paper. The main advantage of using such modular approach for fault diagnosis in fixed-block signaling systems is the inspection of the diagnosability of the whole system with respect to its subsystems (railway field components). In this study, the diagnosability of the railway field equipment and the whole system is also explained with a case study. © 2016

This paper aims to develop a sensor based monitoring and analyzing system for Neuro-Degenerative Disorder patients (NDD);this may consist on SpO2 sensor, Electrophysiological sensors, NIBP, Motion Capture sensors and Eye Monitoring sensor, taking into consideration an acceptable cost for the whole system. Recorded data will be sent to an embedded decision making unit where detection, analysis, classification, prediction and action control will occur. The sensors and the decision making unit will be implemented in a comfortable jacket that doesn't affect the patients' movements and that can be used by several patients with reduced sensor placement alterations. The decision that can be made is creating a stimulus to avoid falling in case of sudden stop while moving, initiating an alarm, sending a notification to a mobile phone application, and/or telemedicine monitoring features. Artificial Neural Networks will be used to classify and predict the abnormal cases where action should be taken, and since the sensors will be continuously recording, it is possible to achieve continuous learning for the ANN as a first phase. Initial models will be defined by testing normal behaviors and some known abnormal behaviors or symptoms related to the electrical activity and other characteristics of the heart, oxygen saturation level, eye activity and body motion. © 2016 IEEE.
