We present the first comprehensive video polyp segmentation(VPS)study in the deep learning *** the years,developments in VPS are not moving forward with ease due to the lack of a large-scale dataset with fine-grained segmentation *** address this issue,we first introduce a high-quality frame-by-frame annotated VPS dataset,named SUN-SEG,which contains 158690colonoscopy video frames from the well-known *** provide additional annotation covering diverse types,i.e.,attribute,object mask,boundary,scribble,and ***,we design a simple but efficient baseline,named PNS+,which consists of a global encoder,a local encoder,and normalized self-attention(NS)*** global and local encoders receive an anchor frame and multiple successive frames to extract long-term and short-term spatial-temporal representations,which are then progressively refined by two NS *** experiments show that PNS+achieves the best performance and real-time inference speed(170 fps),making it a promising solution for the VPS ***,we extensively evaluate 13 representative polyp/object segmentation models on our SUN-SEG dataset and provide attribute-based ***,we discuss several open issues and suggest possible research directions for the VPS *** project and dataset are publicly available at https://***/GewelsJI/VPS.

This study designs and simulates weather parameters using MEMS technology with suitable characteristics for integration into a single chip for environment monitoring. The sensing and heating filament of the temperature sensor was designed using a thin film platinum resistor, examining its ability to experience stability, increase in resistivity, accuracy, and free-contamination. The temperature sensing and heating element are based on platinum RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) with meander shape and aluminum as the bonding pad connecting the sensor to the external circuit. A capacitive humidity sensor is implemented in consolidation with a piezoresistive pressure sensor with a square membrane. The capacitive humidity sensor with hole pattern at the upper plate and a polyimide serves as water absorbent sandwiched between the electrodes. The simulation analysis was conducted using finite element analysis in COMSOL Multiphysics version 6.0. It was observed that the temperature increases from -100oC to - 20oC, and 10oC to 50oC respectively as a result of deviation in relative humidity in the troposphere, and atmosphere. The average changes in capacitances were found at 0.0713/%RH, while the pressure was examined to vary from 1050hPa to 5hPa in a step of 200hPa with a sensitivity of 11.50mv/bar. © 2024 IEEE.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.

In recent years, with the development of wireless communication networks, federated learning (FL) has been widely deployed in distributed scenarios as a privacy-preserving machine learning paradigm. Due to its inherent features, FL shows vulnerability to backdoor attacks. In a backdoor attack, an adversary manipulates the global model's output by compromising the model of one or multiple participants. Existing backdoor attacks are constrained to outputting a single specified target label during the inference phase, limiting the adversary's flexibility to alter the model's output when different target labels are required. In this paper, we study the multi-target attack scenario within the federated learning context, where the adversary aims to manipulate the global model to output various specified labels by inserting different types of triggers. To effectively insert multiple backdoors simultaneously without reducing the attack's effectiveness, we propose MulDoor, a novel multi-target backdoor attack scheme. MulDoor incorporates the concept of supervised contrastive learning to learn the discrepancies among different types of triggers and mitigate interference between them. The experimental results demonstrate that MulDoor achieves better attack effectiveness compared to existing backdoor attacks in a multi-target backdoor attack setting. © 2024 IEEE.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is the most common and non-invasive auxiliary diagnostic technique for heart disease. However, the ECG signal is susceptible to various noises during the collection process, which will impact subsequent analysis and diagnosis. Therefore, ECG signal denoising has become the primary task after signal acquisition. ECG signal denoising aims to remove noise interference from the collected noisy signals for clarify abnormal waveforms in it, and thus diagnose diseases more accurately. In this paper, to obtain high-quality and high-fidelity denoised ECG signals, we propose a novel diffusion model with self-attention module for ECG signal denoising (DMAM-ECG). Specifically, the DMAM-ECG contains two main branches used to extract features of input noise signal observations and potential variables, respectively. Each branch consists of 6 designed Convolution-Instancenormal-LeakyReLU Filter Blocks (CIL-Filter Blocks). Meanwhile, DMAM-ECG introduces the self-Attention Module Fusion Blocks (SAM-Fusion Blocks) to further extract features for the first branch, and then fuse the output features with the second branch. Besides, we use a multi-shot reconstruction strategy to further improve signal denoising. Quantitative and qualitative results on the QT database show that the proposed DMAM-ECG performs better than the existing 5 state-of-the-art ECG signal denoising methods, especially for strong noise interference ECG signal removal. To sum up, our DMAM-ECG introduces self-attention module into the diffusion model to improve the grasp of global information and achieve high-quality information preservation for extremely noise removal of ECG signal. In particular, it uses only 3-shot reconstruction gets much better denoised results than that of the best baseline with 10-shot. The present study aims to explore the adaptation of estimation methodologies, specifically Particle filters and Kalman filters, for the purpose of determining the position and velocity vector of obstacles within the operational workspace of mobile robots. These algorithms are commonly employed in the motion planning tasks of mobile robots for the estimation of their own position. The proposed methodology utilizes LiDAR sensor data to estimate the position vectors and calculate the velocity vectors of obstacles. Additionally, an uncertainty parameter can be determined using the introduced perception method. The performance of the newly adapted algorithms is evaluated through comparison of the absolute error in position and velocity vector estimations. © 2023 Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Automation of ship maneuvering in limited sailing conditions usually requires 100% redundancy of thrusters (THRs) of various modifications and their locations in accordance with the matrix. The hierarchy of the motion control system is branched by levels using high-level motion controllers and THRs control distribution algorithms, which allows for a modular design with software, where the high-level controller (HLC) can be designed without comprehensive information about the thruster motors, and the input signal branching and speed limits are handled by the motion controller. But, for certain THRs configurations, this branching leads to the decrease in control efficiency due to the limitation of data on the physical characteristics of the ships and the operation of the motion controller. This research examines different approaches to improving control efficiency using methods of nonlinear predictive control models as a basis for developing motion controllers with decision optimization based on relevant constraints. The implemented branched system is the result of solving two simple problems of ship's motion, which highlight the related problems. The use of different approaches to eliminate the identified shortcomings made it possible to develop the nonlinear controller that combines the motion controller with distributed control of the THRs and ensuring the certain level of system reliability. The modularity of the control system is provided by the expansion of the closed system, which made it possible to achieve an increase in efficiency during the combined mode of operation. The obtained solution of nonlinear control with time-varying constraints made it possible to increase the accuracy of the control with a decrease in the duration of the pause in response to the change of the disturbance within 10% © 2024 IEEE.

For doubly salient reluctance machines, the magnetic saturation effect easily occurs, thereby the saturated inductance with complex analytical expression brings difficulties to the inductance modeling procedure during position sensorless control. To tackle this issue, a direct solution from electrical machine design is introduced to regulate magnetic flux distribution. The key is to insert tangentially-magnetized-slot-permanent-magnet into stator slots, thus relieving the magnetic saturation in the stator teeth. Consequently, unsaturated inductance characteristics can be acquired through the magnetic saturation relieving effect, thereby the inductance modeling effort can be significantly decreased, and such design is friendly for doubly salient reluctance machine position sensorless drive application. © 2024 IEEE.
