The e-Healthcare system can be improved greatly by involving of latest information technology. However now in absent and developing nations, conventional sheet built a system that applied in healthcare. In the sector of healthcare besides other business fields, cloud computing is evolving as a new computing model. Among the developing countries, Iraq is attempting to change to electronic health records utilizing services of cloud computing. Cloud computing is the emerging technology can be utilized to build up a composite network to enhance the system. Therefore, this paper recommended a model of designing flexible e-healthcare management system based on Cloud Computing and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Cloud and SOA are becoming ubiquitous nowadays. However, their applications are deployed in this area and desired to appear various period stringent also workable conditions. The suggested system has been improved and includes various fractions to develop healthcare system. Rich Internet Application (RIA) based on the client side, simple database cloud server and application side leads to achieving a scheme that creates a readily attainable network. Finally, the system proposed improves cost management, time, storing patients profile and taking the right doctor decision.

The research article presents the simulation and FPGA synthesis of mesh, torus and ring Network on Chip (NoC). The network is based on the Multiprocessor System on Chip (MPSoC) structure for a network cluster of 256 nodes. The paper focuses on the comparative analysis based on hardware design parameters, memory utilization and timing parameters such as minimum and maximum period, frequency support. The interprocess communication among nodes in verified using Virtex-5 FPGA with an arbitration logic. The designs are developed in Xilinx ISE 14.2 and simulated in Modelsim 10.1b with the help of VHDL programming language. Network topological structures help for on chip intercommunication, routing, switching, flow control, queuing, scheduling and to communicate among different networks.

In kite power systems, substantial input delay between the actuator and the tethered kite can severely hinder the performance of the control algorithm, limiting the capability of the system to track power-optimal loops. We propose a method that deals with this impediment by using a data-based adaptive filter that predicts future states despite variations in wind conditions, other exogenous disturbances and model mismatch. Moreover, we exploit the geometry of the path on a hemisphere to enhance the guidance algorithm for such kites at a fixed length tether. The objective is to improve the automatic crosswind operation of an airborne wind energy system. To test this under realistic conditions, a small-scale prototype was employed for a series of experiments. The robustness to disturbances and the performance of the algorithm in path following was evaluated for a number of different paths.

Localization of the brain neural generators that create Electroencephalographs (EEGs) has been an important problem in clinical, research and technological applications related to the brain. The active regions in the brain are modeled as equivalent current dipoles, and the positions and moments of these dipoles or brain sources are estimated. So far, the brain dipoles are assumed to be fixed or time-invariant. However, recent neurological studies are showing that brain sources are not static but vary (in terms of location and moment) depending on various internal and external stimuli. This paper presents a shift in the current paradigm of brain source localization by considering dynamic sources in the brain. We formulate the brain source estimation problem from EEG measurements as a (nonlinear) state-space model. We use the Particle Filter (PF), essentially a sequential Monte Carlo method, to track the trajectory of the moving dipoles in the brain. We further address the “curse of dimensionality,” issue of the PF by taking advantage of the structure of the EEG state-space model, and marginalizing out the linearly evolving states. A Kalman Filter is used to optimally estimate the linear elements, whereas the PF is used to track only the non-linear components. This technique reduces the dimension of the problem; thus exponentially reducing the computational cost. Our simulation results show that, where the PF fails, the Marginalized PF is able to successfully track two dipoles in the brain with only 500 particles.

The research of real-time traffic condition are mainly concentrated on GPS module, which is energy-intensive and become invalid when suffering from enclosed areas. In this paper, taking advantage of accelerometer embed in mobile devices, we propose a new approach to estimate the vehicle traveling speed. We analyze the characteristics of time domain and frequency domain, and have discovered excellent characteristics. We have trained the classified model to match the acceleration with traveling speed successfully and achieve a good performance. Therefore, we could evaluate the traffic congestion scale with the estimated value. With this approach, we could get the traffic information in closed areas. The experiment result has achieved a satisfied accuracy, and above all the accelerometer is more energy-efficient than the GPS module.

The aim of this article is to present a novel quaternion based control scheme for the attitude control problem of a quadrotor and experimentally evaluate its performance. A quaternion is a hyper complex number of rank 4 that can be utilized to avoid the inherent geometrical singularity when representing rigid body dynamics with Euler angles or the complexity of having coupled differential equations with the Direction Cosine Matrix (DCM). In the presented approach the novel contributions consist of: a) the quadrotor's attitude model and b) the proposed non-linear Proportional squared (P~2) control algorithm, which have been proposed and experimentally evaluated fully in the quaternion space, without any transformations nor calculations in the Euler angle nor the DCM spaces. The established control scheme is combined with a quaternion based Madwick Complementary filter for estimating the attitude quadrotor's responses. Multiple experimental results, including the case where external disturbances are acting on the quadrotor, are being presented for proving the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed novel quaternion based controller.

The proposed Pareto ranking scheme is meant for the selection of parents and survivors in multi-objective evolutionary optimizations. Commonly, the Pareto methods use just the dominance analysis in order to provide the partial sorting of solutions, without taking into account the specific strength of the conflict detected between objectives. This can generate undesired effects, such as the loss of diversity or the excessive spread of solutions induced by too weakly or too strongly conflicting criteria, respectively. For counteracting these disadvantages, the suggested approach adapts the ranking policies with respect to the distribution of the population in the objective space. The first innovation of the paper resides in the way in which the layout of the available solutions is examined. The analysis is based on clustering, followed by the Pareto-ranking of the resulted centers. The centers belonging to the best fronts are then used to depict the preferred searching area and to decide if the diversity of the solutions requires improvement. In this regard, the second contribution supports the diversification of the preferred solutions via rank adjustments. The suggested ranking algorithm is experimentally verified on several synthetic multi-objective optimizations and a multi-objective robot path planning. The testing scenarios exemplify different layouts of the Pareto fronts for diverse conflictive relationships between the two objectives.

Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) are of great importance in identifying the genetic variants associated with traits/diseases. Due to the high number of candidate SNPs some filtering techniques are necessary to be applied. The aim of the study was to develop the comprehensive approach allowing for detailed analysis of both SNP-gene and SNP-miRNA-gene relations. We elaborated and optimized the novel signal analysis pipeline improving significantly the results of the analysis on genotype-phenotype interplay. Direct links between genotype results and gene expression levels were enriched by detailed analysis of SNP-miRNA-gene interactions at both mature miRNA structure/seed region and target binding site level. The proposed technique was applied to the data on lymphocyte radiation response and increased by almost 100% number of potential functional SNPs.

The paper presents results of electromagnetic field distribution for future use in biosensor after passing through biological important element such as: Iron (Fe), Silicon (Si) and Zinc (Zn), as well as, for reference level; with the use special constructed set up contains: source of electromagnetic field, samples and EMC- Scanner model RSE321 with X-Y-Z robot, a spectrum analyzer with near field probe and a standard computer. The scans electromagnetic field distribution in X-Z and Y-Z for 5 MHZ, 50 MHz and 100 MHz have been presented. It was shown that electromagnetic field distribution is different for various samples.

A skew-t variational Bayes filter (STVBF) is applied to indoor positioning with time-of-arrival (TOA) based distance measurements and pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR). The proposed filter accommodates large positive outliers caused by occasional non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions by using a skew-t model of measurement errors. Real-data tests using the fusion of inertial sensors based PDR and ultra-wideband based TOA ranging show that the STVBF clearly outperforms the extended Kalman filter (EKF) in positioning accuracy with the computational complexity about three times that of the EKF.
