This research exhibits an algorithm adapted from the Technique for Order of Preference by Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methodology, integrating the Entropy Weighting Method (EWM) for objective and efficient recommendation processes. Decision-making methodologies have indicated gaps of subjective influence affecting performance values on several implementations with additional limitations on the flexibility of handling complex problems that require multiple factors while maintaining an acceptable running time. The study takes this into account and formulates an adaptable and efficient framework that offers objective and data-driven recommendations for diverse situations. Future endeavors include subjecting the framework to real-life scenarios and testing its effectiveness. © 2024 IEEE.

Effective recommendation systems are essential for supporting decision-making in various fields in this age of abundant information. This paper presents a novel framework for a Modified Recommender Algorithm that combines Top-K and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Traditional decision-making frameworks such as AHP are susceptible to subjectivity and inconsistencies, necessitating innovative approaches to improve their reliability and effectiveness. The objective is to improve recommendation systems' efficacy and precision by integrating sophisticated machine-learning techniques with resilient decision-making approaches. The proposed framework establishes the hierarchical structure of decision elements and prioritizes alternatives according to user preferences by utilizing AHP, a potent multi-criteria decision-making tool. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is then used as a text classification model to enrich the feature space for recommendations by classifying textual data into pertinent classes. In addition, the framework applies Top-K Algorithms to select the most pertinent alternatives based on SVM classification output, thereby refining the recommendation results. Top-K Algorithms improve overall recommendation accuracy and relevance by iteratively filtering and ranking alternatives. This research advances the field of data science by providing a thorough framework that combines innovative machine learning techniques with conventional decision-making methodologies to address the challenges of recommendation systems in complex and dynamic environments. ©2024 IEEE.

This paper proposed a method which detects a political buzzer in social media, specifically Instagram. With Indonesia undergoing 2019 presidential election, a detection of buzzers that causes much trouble in maintaining information neutrality is seen as a needed. One of the many reasons is because those buzzers spread false news making the information gained by the use of social media to be not neutral and deliberately offends or attack those that they are not in favor of. Those buzzers share a similar characteristic, tendency, or even possess the same pattern. Grouping, classification, and detection method are used to counter this problem. This research gives a slight overview of what is happening in social media and a theory of how to deal with those problems. The argument is expected to help to identify buzzer in real life, thus helps in maintaining information neutrality along with the social media in Indonesia. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper presents a new transistor placement method applied to the ASTRAN EDA tool, an open-source solution for the automatic design of complex digital gates. Although it currently reaches an optimized solution through a Threshold Accepting approach, ASTRAN does not guarantee a minimum-width placement. In this paper, a method based on Boolean satisfiability is proposed, ensuring an optimal solution for the transistor placement task through modeling the problem into a set of Boolean variables and clauses aware of four design rule constraints. Experiments comparing the proposed method and the current ASTRAN placement technique have shown reductions in the layout area. Furthermore, our method achieved a significant improvement regarding runtime, an essential feature for designing digital circuits and systems on-demand. © 2020 IEEE

The escalating visibility of secure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerabilities in API security, as indicated in the compilation of OWASP Top 10 API Security Risks, highlights a noteworthy peril to sensitive data. This study explores IDOR vulnerabilities found within Android APIs, intending to clarify their inception while evaluating their implications for application security. This study combined the qualitative and quantitative approaches. Insights were obtained from an actual penetration test on an Android app into the primary reasons for IDOR vulnerabilities, underscoring insufficient input validation and weak authorization methods. We stress the frequent occurrence of IDOR vulnerabilities in the OWASP Top 10 API vulnerability list, highlighting the necessity to prioritize them in security evaluations. There are mitigation recommendations available for developers, which recognize its limitations involving a possibly small and homogeneous selection of tested Android applications, the testing environment that could cause some inaccuracies, and the impact of time constraints. Additionally, the study noted insufficient threat modeling and root cause analysis, affecting its generalizability and real-world relevance. However, comprehending and controlling IDOR dangers can enhance Android API security, protect user data, and bolster application resilience. © 2023 IEEE.

This study aims to assist resource management and the project controller at Port Harbor Company. Port Harbor Company is an IT Consulting. Problems that often occur in IT Consulting are related to the project cost, resource management and control of each project. Problems that occur at the Port Harbor Company are poor resource management, spending costs that exceed a predetermined budget and how to see the status of ongoing projects. Using Business Intelligence and the dashboard as a front end will help the project controller and resource management manage resources, manage project costs and monitor ongoing projects. Collective Intelligence has received much attention in recent years, as organizations and businesses discover the power of crowds. With new technologies, such as blogs, twitter, wikis, photo sharing, collaborative tagging and social networking sites, people may create and disseminate content as never before. Many organizations are looking for ways to harness this power, which is being called collective intelligence. Additionally, many open-source initiatives have shown that it is possible to obtain high quality results from collectively produced work. In this paper, we consider the domain of emergency response. We have been working in this domain for a few years now, mostly focusing on small disaster relief groups and field command. One of the command problems is lack of information about the location where the disaster occurred. We believe some of this information could be crowdsourced, changing current practices and enabling more effective response to the situation. In this paper, we discuss the possibilities for crowdsourcing and present an initial proposal for harnessing collective intelligence for the fire department. © 2010 IEEE.

Color image segmentation is an important but still open problem in image processing. In this paper, we propose a method for this problem by integrating the spatial connectivity and color feature of the pixels. Considering that an image can be regarded as a dataset in which each pixel has a spatial location and a color value, color image segmentation can be obtained by clustering these pixels into different groups of coherent spatial connectivity and color. To discover the spatial connectivity of the pixels, density-based clustering is employed, which is an effective clustering method used in data mining for discovering spatial databases. Color similarity of the pixels is measured in Munsell (HVC) color space whose perceptual uniformity ensures the color change in the segmented regions is smooth in terms of human perception. Experimental results using proposed method demonstrate encouraging performance.

Deep learning (DL) has significantly advanced various industries, including semiconductors, by providing sophisticated methods for analyzing emerging device data. Transfer learning (TL), a prominent DL topology, leverages knowledge from a pre-trained model to improve the performance of a specific target task. This study aims to apply TL to predict the impact of work function fluctuation (WKF) on the variability of threshold voltage (σVTH) in gate-all-around silicon nanosheet field-effect transistors (GAA Si NS FETs). We used TL to transfer knowledge from models trained on 1-channel (1ch) GAA Si NS FETs to more complex 4-channel (4ch) counterparts. The prediction accuracy is evaluated by using the mean square error(MSE), root mean square error (RMSE), and the mean absolute error(MAE) metrics. Our TL approach achieved an error rate of less than 1%, demonstrating high accuracy in predicting WKF effects on σ VTH of 4ch GAA Si NS FETs using only 500 samples. This study presents a pioneering application of TL using a one-dimensional (1D) convolutional neural network (CNN) long short-term memory (LSTM) topology in semiconductor device technology. The results effectively address the challenge of predicting σ VTH variations in advanced GAA Si NS FETs because of WKF, which eliminates the need for extensive semiconductor device simulations. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
