This paper explores the development of a multilabel machine learning system for predicting both gender and age from human gait patterns. Gait analysis, a non-intrusive method of identifying subtle nuances in human movement, has proven to be a rich source of information related to demographic characteristics. The research extends beyond traditional single-label classification approaches, adopting a multilabel framework to simultaneously predict gender and age *** study evaluates various multilabel machine learning algorithms, with the Random k-labeLsets (RAKEL) algorithm demonstrating superior performance in predicting gender and age labels from human gait datasets. The accuracy of the algorithm can reach up to 87%. We also compared the multilabel approach with several multiclass algorithms such as Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, K-Neighbors and XGBoost. However, when we also considering the training time, Classifier Chain algorithm showed the best trade off with the accuracy of 86% and the training time is twice faster than the RAKEL algorithm.

Multimodal deepfakes involving audiovisual manipulations are a growing threat because they are difficult to detect with the naked eye or using unimodal deep learning-based forgery detection methods. Audiovisual forensic models, while more capable than unimodal models, require large training datasets and are computationally expensive for training and inference. Furthermore, these models lack interpretability and often do not generalize well to unseen manipulations. In this study, we examine the detection capabilities of a large language model (LLM) (i.e., ChatGPT) to identify and account for any possible visual and auditory artifacts and manipulations in audiovisual deepfake content. Extensive experiments are conducted on videos from a benchmark multimodal deepfake dataset to evaluate the detection performance of ChatGPT and compare it with the detection capabilities of state-of-the-art multimodal forensic models and humans. Experimental results demonstrate the importance of domain knowledge and prompt engineering for video forgery detection tasks using LLMs. Unlike approaches based on end-to-end learning, ChatGPT can account for spatial and spatiotemporal artifacts and inconsistencies that may exist within or across modalities. It is being observed that the use of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) in health sciences research grows as the technology and miniaturization of devices occur. Those devices often times suffer from several issues such as: being invasive, lacking the ability to collect many signals concurrently and communication. The present work proposes an approach to the use of an ultra-small IoMT device to fulfill the functions of a bio-signals data collector, a mathematical models processor, a data transmitter-receptor through the network, and a mechanical actuators controller. Our test environment was conceived to be used in animal models. This is an ongoing project from which partial results indicate that, when functioning, the device will use real-time data for monitoring bio-signals and helping with decision-making as it interacts with the organism. The data collection is going to be made through low-cost non-invasive sensors. Most studies of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing usually used grammar checking to help EFL learners to check writing errors. However, it is not enough since EFL learners have to learn how to create more meaningful content, particularly using their surroundings in authentic contexts. Therefore, we develop one app, Ubiquitous English (UEnglish), with recognition technology, particularly Image-to-Text Recognition (ITR) texts to provide the vocabulary and description from authentic pictures, and generative-AI that can generate meaningful questions and clarifications to trigger EFL learners to write more. In addition, EFL learners need to answer the question from generative-AI before they receive the clarification. Hence, we proposed a Smart Questioning-Answering-Clarification (QAC) mechanism to help EFL writing. A total of 35 participants were assigned into two groups, experimental groups (EG) with 19 learners and control groups (CG) with 16 learners with/without Smart QAC mechanism support, respectively. In this study, the quasi-experiment was conducted over five weeks and we used quantitative analysis methods. The results revealed that the EG with ITR-texts and Smart QAC had a significant difference with CG in the learning behaviors and post-test. Furthermore, EG could write more meaningful words in the assignments. Therefore, the Smart QAC mechanism could facilitate EFL learners to enhance their EFL writing in authentic contexts. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly permeating all aspects of human life, involving a network of devices that share sensitive data. A notable application is the e-healthcare systems, which employ connected sensors, medical servers, and wearable devices. However, the public nature of communication in e-healthcare systems poses challenges such as security, privacy, and authentication of participating entities. Recently, many authentication protocols have been introduced to address these challenges. However, most of these protocols remain vulnerable to various security attacks, including device or medical server impersonation, denial of service, physical or cloning, and de-synchronization attacks. Therefore, we introduce an authenticated key-management protocol utilizing hash functions and Cipher-Block Chaining-Advanced Encryption Standard encryption (CBC-AES) encryption. The proposed protocol also employs the Physical Unclonable Function (PUF), which makes it more robust and efficient in resisting physical or cloning attacks. Additionally, the proposed scheme resists various security threats, including impersonation, session key leakage, ephemeral secret leakage, and de-synchronization attacks. We analyze the scheme’s security and reliability through formal and informal analysis. The informal analysis demonstrates that the scheme encompasses crucial security features, while the formal analysis substantiates. Moreover, performance analysis of the proposed protocol with various competing results indicates that our protocol achieves an average reduction in communication and computation overheads by 36.03.% and 41.79%, respectively. © 2014 IEEE.

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication enables connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs) to share information and generate optimal decisions. The networking abilities of CAVs have led to the development of unsignalized autonomous intersection management (AIM) methods that leverage CAVs to significantly improve traffic flows. However, AIM methods assume 100% CAV market penetration, which is currently unrealistic owing to the gradual adoption of CAVs. Therefore, CAVs must share road usage with nonconnected vehicles (NCVs). Thus, we propose a mixed-traffic intersection management method that considers NCVs while ensuring high traffic flow, called traffic-load-responsive reservation for intersection management (TLRRIM). In TLRRIM, the roadside unit (RSU) first classifies vehicles and groups them into clusters before selecting a reservation cluster to cross an intersection. The reservation cluster selection considers both traffic load and crossing urgency. In addition, the RSU utilizes V2X-enabled speed coordination (VESC) for CAVs within the reservation cluster to further improve traffic flow, while utilizing traffic lights to guide NCVs. Simulation-based experiments using OpenCDA and CARLA showed that TLRRIM can increase throughput and reduce waiting time by up to 89.63% and 60.71 %, respectively, compared with the fixed-time signaling method. Moreover, adding VESC can increase throughput by 12.21 % and reduce waiting time by 10.80%, further enhancing traffic flow.

This paper considers video and audio transmission in ICN (Information-Centric Networking) CCN (Content- Centric Networking), in which each intermediate node can cache content. LCE (Leave Copy Everywhere) has been known as a generic cache decision policy. However, because LCE caches at all the intermediate nodes, the cache of intermediate nodes can be duplicated. Therefore, various cache decision policies that eliminate redundancy have been proposed. In this paper, we evaluate the effect of the cache decision policies on QoE of video and audio transmission in ICN/CCN. We assess application-level QoS using a computer simulation with a tree network and QoE by means of subjective experiment.

A future networking design called "software-defined networking"combines network programmability with centralized administration (SDN). Network administration is currently handled by SDN, which, at the regulator, which acts as the cable network processor and divides the data plane into a control plane and a data aircraft. Recent breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (Al) have shown a stronger inclination for the science community to benefit from their ability to give learning capabilities and enhance Indicator. The author of this research provides a comprehensive analysis of initiatives underway to incorporate Al with SDN. The study concluded that the three primary Al thread where scientific research was centered were computer science, conceptual, and fuzzy reasoning systems. The authors of this paper explore the several fields in which these approaches may be used, their potential future applications, and the innovations made possible by the integration of AI-based methods into the SDN paradigm. By choosing the right SDN controller, any large organization may lower network complexity, implementation expenses, and maintenance costs. The focus of this article is software defined networking's benefits and downsides (SDN). Following is a basic explanation of artificial intelligence and a list of some of its most significant applications in SDN. © 2023 IEEE.

It is crucial for the community including the government and health workers to collaborate to halt the spread of Covid-19. The idea of developing the mobile application surfaced from the previous findings. Previous researches have implemented and developed different features to better the application. The development of a mobile application to provide a platform that will assist people with information regarding patients that are around the perimeter of users to help notify them. With the help of the notification, users will be able to avoid the chances of them being in contact with the people (ODP), patients that are under surveillance (PDP) confirmed patients. All patients including ODP and PDP are required to have the application therefore, the Minister of Health will be able to track the geolocation of patients. Moreover, people will be able to be aware of patients that are around their perimeter. Therefore, with the help of the application, it will be able to help assist the community for them to be aware of and to be able to avoid being in contact with the infected patients. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
