Special need is a person who need assistance for their disabilities which include medical, physical, mental or psychological such as person with autism, down syndrome, dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, blindness, deafness, epilepsy, chronic asthma and so on. In this proposed research idea about intelligent E-commerce for special needs, we limited to four types of difficulties such as hearing difficulty, vision difficulty, language difficulty, and learning difficulty. In this paper, we interest in those special needs persons who can use e-commerce and how to model a system that can help them to joy and easy to join with e-commerce. For some, this intelligent e-commerce is not only for shopping only but will become part of their healing for special needs in order to engage with daily human activities and increase their daily confidence in life. This paper also a preliminary investigation that can be used for Ph.D. or Doctoral research degree who is interested in building e-commerce framework for people with a special need or disability. © 2019 IEEE.

In the quest for novel quantum states driven by topology and correlation, kagome lattice materials have garnered significant interest due to their distinctive electronic band structures, featuring flat bands (FBs) arising from the quantum destructive interference of the electronic wave function. The tuning of the FBs to the chemical potential would lead to the possibility of liberating electronic instabilities that lead to emergent electronic orders. Despite extensive studies, direct evidence of FBs tuned to the chemical potential and their participation in emergent electronic orders have been lacking in bulk quantum materials. Here using a combination of Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) and Density Functional Theory (DFT), we reveal that the low-energy electronic structure of the recently discovered Cr-based kagome metal superconductor CsCr3Sb5 is dominated by a pervasive FB in close proximity to, and below the Fermi level. A comparative analysis with orbital-projected DFT and polarization dependence measurement uncovers that an orbital-selective renormalization mechanism is needed to reconcile the discrepancy with the DFT calculations, which predict the FB to appear 200 meV above the Fermi level. Furthermore, we observe the FB to shift away from the Fermi level by 20 meV in the low-temperature density wave-ordered phase, highlighting the role of the FB in the emergent electronic order. Our results reveal CsCr3Sb5 to stand out as a promising platform for further exploration into the effects of FBs near the Fermi level on kagome lattices, and their role in emergent orders in bulk quantum materials. © 2024, CC BY.

There have been many studies conducted related to Smart City, IT Governance and Big Data. In this study aims to find out how the relationship between the three and how to form a framework to explain it. The methodology used is qualitative by looking for some literature on smart city framework, IT Governance framework, and a Big Data framework. From these results, an overall picture of the relationship between the three is concluded, where Big Data has a role in IT Governance. and also the relationship of IT Governance to the realization of Smart City. And the final results of this study produce a framework to explain the relationship between Smart City, IT Governance and Big Data. © 2019 IEEE.

Because of their natural one-dimensional (1D) structure combined with intricate chiral variations, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) exhibit various exceptional physical properties, such as ultrahigh electrical and thermal conductivity, exceptional mechanical strength, and chirality-dependent metallicity. These properties make CNTs highly promising for diverse applications, including field-effect transistors, sensors, photodetectors, and thermoelectric devices. While CNTs excel individually at the nanoscale, their 1D and chiral nature can be lost on a macroscopic scale when they are randomly assembled. Therefore, the alignment and organization of CNTs in macroscopic structures is crucial for harnessing their full potential. In this review, we explore recent advancements in understanding CNT alignment mechanisms, improving CNT aligning methods, and demonstrating macroscopically 1D properties of ordered CNT assemblies. We also focus on a newly discovered class of CNT architectures, combining CNT alignment and twisting mechanisms to create artificial radial and chiral CNT films at wafer scales. Finally, we summarize recent developments related to aligned and chiral CNT films in optoelectronics, highlighting their unique roles in solar cells, thermal emitters, and optical modulators. Nonlinear spectral mapping-based models based on supervised learning have successfully applied for speech enhancement. However, as supervised learning approaches, a large amount of labelled data (noisy-clean speech pairs) should be provided to train those models. In addition, their performances for unseen noisy conditions are not guaranteed, which is a common weak point of supervised learning approaches. In this study, we proposed an unsupervised learning approach for speech enhancement, i.e., denoising autoencoder with linear regression decoder (DAELD) model for speech enhancement. The DAELD is trained with noisy speech as both input and target output in a self-supervised learning manner. In addition, with properly setting a shrinkage threshold for internal hidden representations, noise could be removed during the reconstruction from the hidden representations via the linear regression decoder. Speech enhancement experiments were carried out to test the proposed model. Results confirmed that the proposed DAELD could achieve comparable and sometimes even better enhancement performance as compared to the conventional supervised speech enhancement approaches, in both seen and unseen noise environments. Moreover, we observe that higher performances tend to achieve by DAELD when the training data cover more diverse noise types and signal-tonoise-ratio (SNR) levels.

We study how efficiently a k-element set S ⊆ [n] can be learned from a uniform superposition |Si of its elements. One can think of |Si = Pi∈S |ii /√|S| as the quantum version of a uniformly random sample over S, as in the classical analysis of the "coupon collector problem." We show that if k is close to n, then we can learn S using asymptotically fewer quantum samples than random samples. In particular, if there are n − k = O(1) missing elements then O(k) copies of |Si suffice, in contrast to the Θ(k log k) random samples needed by a classical coupon collector. On the other hand, if n − k = Ω(k), then Ω(k log k) quantum samples are necessary. More generally, we give tight bounds on the number of quantum samples needed for every k and n, and we give efficient quantum learning algorithms. We also give tight bounds in the model where we can additionally reflect through |Si. Finally, we relate coupon collection to a known example separating proper and improper PAC learning that turns out to show no separation in the quantum case. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Understanding the emergent electronic structure in twisted atomically thin layers has led to the exciting field of twistronics. However, practical applications of such systems are challenging since the specific angular correlations between the layers must be precisely controlled and the layers have to be single crystalline with uniform atomic ordering. Here, we suggest an alternative, simple and scalable approach where nanocrystalline two-dimensional (2D) film on three-dimensional (3D) substrates yield twisted-interface-dependent properties. Ultrawidebandgap hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) thin films are directly grown on high in-plane lattice mismatched wide-bandgap silicon carbide (4H-SiC) substrates to explore the twist-dependent structure-property correlations. Concurrently, nanocrystalline h-BN thin film shows strong nonlinear second-harmonic generation and ultra-low cross-plane thermal conductivity at room temperature, which are attributed to the twisted domain edges between van der Waals stacked nanocrystals with random in-plane orientations. First-principles calculations based on time-dependent density functional theory manifest strong even-order optical nonlinearity in twisted h-BN layers. Our work unveils that directly deposited 2D nanocrystalline thin film on 3D substrates could provide easily accessible twist-interfaces, therefore enabling a simple and scalable approach to utilize the 2D-twistronics integrated in 3D material devices for next-generation nanotechnology. © 2023, CC BY.

The performance of superconducting qubits is often limited by dissipation and two-level systems (TLS) losses. The dominant sources of these losses are believed to originate from amorphous materials and defects at interfaces and surfaces, likely as a result of fabrication processes or ambient exposure. Here, we explore a novel wet chemical surface treatment at the Josephson junction-substrate and the substrate-air interfaces by replacing a buffered oxide etch (BOE) cleaning process with one that uses hydrofluoric acid followed by aqueous ammonium fluoride. We show that the ammonium fluoride etch process results in a statistically significant improvement in median T1 by ∼ 22% (p = 0.002), and a reduction in the number of strongly-coupled TLS in the tunable frequency range. Microwave resonator measurements on samples treated with the ammonium fluoride etch prior to niobium deposition also show ∼ 33% lower TLS-induced loss tangent compared to the BOE treated samples. As the chemical treatment primarily modifies the Josephson junction-substrate interface and substrate-air interface, we perform targeted chemical and structural characterizations to examine materials’ differences at these interfaces and identify multiple microscopic changes that could contribute to decreased TLS. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.
