Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) networks require low-latency communications utilizing a broad spectrum while operating under jamming. In this sense, low complexity antenna array-based broadband jamming mitigation schemes are crucial in order to allow low latency communication and low-cost hardware. In this paper we propose low-complexity algorithms for signal recovery in broadband processing scenario applied to V2X. Numerical simulation of a jamming scenario demonstrate the proposed algorithm achieving the same performance in terms of signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) as the state-of-the-art while taking signiflcantly less time to compute.

Human bodies are deeply political as they carry historical and social meanings, including race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, class, and abilities. The expanding body-centric research in HCI can be traced in the plurality of methods, theories and domains that take bodies as a central point of departure, when designing or studying interaction with technologies. This one-day workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners within the CHI community to discuss, map, and unpack emerging tensions and challenges on the topic of body politics for HCI. Interested participants are invited to submit examples from their own research, which, in the workshop, will be used as a point of departure to critically reflect on and expand body-centric methods, theories and domains through the lens of body politics. Workshop outcomes will include charting future directions for body-centric research to address challenges and opportunities of acknowledging that bodies are always political in design research. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

The tourism industry is very important to prioritize, especially for developing countries like Thailand. The increase in tourist visits to Bangkok also triggers the potential for a rise in Bangkok tourism during the pandemic. In this study, shopping malls are one of the attractive attractions for a capital city like Bangkok. Tourist expectations of attraction must be realized so that satisfaction can be realized and created revisit. In the digitalization era, the internet's use to find and disseminate information has become commonplace. *** is one of the leading review sites, which already has many reviewers, and is the case study in this research. Using Word Cloud as an analysis technique and clustering of data reviews, several important factors influence tourist satisfaction. Based on the 1186 clustered reviewers, several factors were produced, such as Place Quality, Location Access, Support Facilities, Price, and Seller Attitude. These factors can influence the decision to visit shopping malls in Bangkok because they represent tourist satisfaction. © 2023 IEEE.

Teaching learning process at universities and other higher educational institution have advanced from traditional lecturing or one direction learning to group work and project learning which involving technologies. In recent years, educational institutions have modified its learning processes by using networking technologies in conducting their group or project learning. This research is aimed to investigate the usage WhatsApp Messenger among higher education students for Project Learning. Several factors will be measured such as student's attitudes and competencies towards WhatsApp for project learning. This study was conducted in higher education institutions which applies project learning and students who used WhatsApp. This study adopted a quantitative approach. Researcher will employ survey for this study in which the researcher will gather accurate information and generalize definite research results. Education is always the most important part of our lives. To make education make a significant impact on today's learners, teaching and learning must evolve to match with today's learner's profile. Any education including vocational education has an important role in economic development and one of the ways to maximize the contribution of vocational educations is strengthening the link and match with the world of work [1]. As the technology also keeps evolving and it is getting more and more advanced, one technology that has significant traction lately is the mixed reality system and is often used for education purposes. Most big ICT companies like Microsoft, and HTC are racing to develop mixed reality systems to help the teaching and learning process to be more effective and efficient. Where everything is cloud-based, having a cloud-based mixed reality system is just makes sense but will have a great challenge and considered as a big ICT project. One of the ways to make the ICT project successful is to make a blueprint before it is started. The objective of this paper is how to develop an ICT Blueprint for implementing a cloud-based mixed reality system for machinery vocational schools to make the project have a higher success rate. © 2022 IEEE.

PCB defect detection and classification is vital in electronics manufacturing to ensure high-quality and safe products. Manual inspection is time-consuming, costly, and prone to errors. To address this, automated methods using deep learning models have gained preference. These models learn from diverse datasets of defect images or videos. In this study, a deep learning model was developed and trained using a dataset containing various defect classes, including breakout, copper, crack, cut, excessive conductor, missing conductor, mouse bite, pinhole, spur, and scratch. The model showed promising results in detecting defects across all classes.

The use of private or consortium blockchains in organizations’ applications is growing. A relevant aspect of blockchains is the choice of consensus mechanism. This decision delimits which blockchain solutions are suitable for the private scenario. Once the consensus mechanism is chosen, more than one blockchain may be enabled. However, this decision making is not trivial and requires detailed experimental indicators about algorithms and blockchains performance. In this context, we provide a comprehensive performance analysis of the Raft consensus mechanism based on its implementation in Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum blockchain solutions. We performed our experiments on an OpenStack private cloud using each blockchain developer’s default settings for virtual machines. Our findings show how the implementation of each solution can impact the application’s performance under certain conditions.

Cloud Platforms are heterogeneous, and users may face interoperability issues migrating applications or exchanging data among distinct clouds due, for instance, to the lack of standards solutions. Several solutions have been proposed to overcome lock-in situations, and middleware platforms are one of them. A semantic interoperability solution named middleware for Data as a Service (DaaS)/Database as a Service (DBaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)—MIDAS has been developed to overcome this lock-in issue. It is an intermediate communication layer to retrieve data from DaaS or DBaaS through a Structured Query Language (SQL) or a Not Only SQL (NoSQL) created at the SaaS level. MIDAS is a platform for software execution, but software development needs support for its entire life cycle. Therefore, we propose the Model drIven Approach for MIDAS (MIAMI), which enables the specification of platform-independent middleware models and their use to generate code on different cloud platforms. MIAMI comprises a Domain-Specific Modeling Language (DSML) that enables middleware models and a transformation specification, which defines how these models can be converted to code. MIAMI offers a strategy for MIDAS specification and code generation phases to help middleware developers’ activities. MIAMI was applied to code generation specifications in Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, OpenShift, and Heroku providers to evaluate our approach. This specification shows MIAMI’s feasibility and points out that MDD is a promising approach to improving cloud interoperability solutions. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Literacy, or the ability to read and write, is a crucial indicator of success in life and greater society. It is estimated that 85% of people in juvenile delinquent systems cannot adequately read or write, that more than half of those with substance abuse issues have complications in reading or writing and that two-thirds of those who do not complete high school lack proper literacy skills [1]. Furthermore, young children who do not possess reading skills matching grade level by the fourth grade are approximately 80% likely to not catch up at all [2]. Many may believe that in a developed country such as the United States, literacy fails to be an issue;however, this is a dangerous misunderstanding. Globally an estimated 1.19 trillion dollars are lost every year due to issues in literacy;in the USA, the loss is an estimated 300 billion [3]. To put it in more shocking terms, one in five American adults still fail to comprehend basic sentences [4].Makingmatters worse, the only tools available now to correct a lack of reading and writing ability are found in expensive tutoring or other programs that oftentimes fail to be able to reach the required audience. In this paper, our team puts forward a new way of teaching English spelling and word recognitions to grade school students in the United States: Wordification. Wordification is a web application designed to teach English literacy using principles of linguistics applied to the orthographic and phonological properties of words in a manner not fully utilized previously in any computer-based teaching application. © 2023, CC BY.

In Taiwan, we founded a student-created and led community-Student Quantum Computer Society (SQCS) mainly for high school students. SQCS inspires people in quantum technology via the internet and self-learning, providing traditional Chinese learning opportunities. We provide three pathways including (1) Information and News, (2) Quantum Courses, and (3) Platforms to promote quantum technology in Taiwan. In Information and News, SQCS provides popular science reports and news for aspiring learners. In Quantum Courses, SQCS provides three different methods: Quantum workshops, Quantum micro-courses, and online courses. In online platforms, SQCS established a Discord server for aspiring learners and professionals to communicate, cooperate, and bond with each other. Until now, SQCS is the largest quantum online community in Taiwan. SQCS designs courses not only for high school level but also for college students majoring in science and technology. This provides more opportunities for self-learning and acquiring knowledge because of the Internet. We truly hope that more and more countries will establish their own community and stimulate academic exchange between communities, further establishing an international community with quantum lovers and advocates.
