Improving Entity Linking in Chinese Domain by Sense Embedding Based on Graph Clustering

Entity linking refers to linking a string in a text to corresponding entities in a knowledge base through candidate entity generation and candidate entity *** is of great significance to some NLP(natural language processing)tasks,such as question *** English entity linking,Chinese entity linking requires more consideration due to the lack of spacing and capitalization in text sequences and the ambiguity of characters and words,which is more evident in certain *** Chinese domains,such as industry,the generated candidate entities are usually composed of long strings and are heavily *** addition,the meanings of the words that make up industrial entities are sometimes *** semantic space is a subspace of the general word embedding space,and thus each entity word needs to get its exact ***,we propose two schemes to achieve better Chinese entity ***,we implement an ngram based candidate entity generation method to increase the recall rate and reduce the nesting ***,we enhance the corresponding candidate entity ranking mechanism by introducing sense *** the contradiction between the ambiguity of word vectors and the single sense of the industrial domain,we design a sense embedding model based on graph clustering,which adopts an unsupervised approach for word sense induction and learns sense representation in conjunction with *** test the embedding quality of our approach on classical datasets and demonstrate its disambiguation ability in general *** confirm that our method can better learn candidate entities’fundamental laws in the industrial domain and achieve better performance on entity linking through experiments.

An artificial intelligence ensemble model for paddy leaf disease diagnosis utilizing deep transfer learning

Paddy is a major nutritional requirement for the human population. However, diseases such as bacterial leaf blight, brown spot, and leaf smut are significantly impacting the leaves of the paddy at various stages, resulting in significant losses. Consequently, this leads to an important decrease in production. An effective approach would involve assigning agricultural specialists to the affected area to provide remedies for the affected crops. This task is both time-consuming and tedious. The latest technological advancements will provide alternative solutions in a more efficient and quicker manner. We employed a deep transfer learning algorithm to assess the accuracy of six frequently utilised transfer learning algorithms. In order to improve the accuracy of the model, we boosted the quality of the images using adaptive filtering and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) clustering technique. This allows for the simple segmentation of images into diseased, normal, and surrounding regions, resulting in more accurate classification. We applied a deep transfer learning method to evaluate the accuracy of six widely used transfer learning algorithms, specifically VGG, ResNet, Inception, MobileNet, DenseNet, and EfficientNet. The DenseNet model achieved an average accuracy of 94%, with a precision of 92%, recall of 95%, and an F1-score of 93%. To improve performance, we implemented an ensemble technique, which involves combining two or more models. The Ensemble Convolutional Neural Network (ECNN) was designed by using three pre-trained architectures: ResNet, DenseNet, and *** ensemble model's final predict was determined by employing a weighted average methodology to enhance the prediction's accuracy. Hybrid Seagull and Whale Optimization Algorithm-Based Dynamic Clustering Protocol for Improving Network Longevity in Wireless Sensor Networks

Energy efficiency is the prime concern in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) as maximized energy consumption without essentially limits the energy stability and network lifetime. Clustering is the significant approach essential for minimizing unnecessary transmission energy consumption with sustained network lifetime. This clustering process is identified as the Non-deterministic Polynomial(NP)-hard optimization problems which has the maximized probability of being solved through metaheuristic *** adoption of hybrid metaheuristic algorithm concentrates on the identification of the optimal or nearoptimal solutions which aids in better energy stability during Cluster Head(CH) selection. In this paper,Hybrid Seagull and Whale Optimization Algorithmbased Dynamic Clustering Protocol(HSWOA-DCP)is proposed with the exploitation benefits of WOA and exploration merits of SEOA to optimal CH selection for maintaining energy stability with prolonged network lifetime. This HSWOA-DCP adopted the modified version of SEagull Optimization Algorithm(SEOA) to handle the problem of premature convergence and computational accuracy which is maximally possible during CH selection. The inclusion of SEOA into WOA improved the global searching capability during the selection of CH and prevents worst fitness nodes from being selected as CH, since the spiral attacking behavior of SEOA is similar to the bubble-net characteristics of WOA. This CH selection integrates the spiral attacking principles of SEOA and contraction surrounding mechanism of WOA for improving computation accuracy to prevent frequent election process. It also included the strategy of levy flight strategy into SEOA for potentially avoiding premature convergence to attain better trade-off between the rate of exploration and exploitation in a more effective manner. Resource investment for DDoS attack resistant SDN: a practical assessment

Software-defined networks(SDNs) present a novel network architecture that is widely used in various datacenters. However, SDNs also suffer from many types of security threats, among which a distributed denial of service(DDoS) attack, which aims to drain the resources of SDN switches and controllers,is one of the most common. Once the switch or controller is damaged, the network services can be *** defense schemes against DDoS attacks have been proposed from the perspective of attack detection;however, such defense schemes are known to suffer from a time consuming and unpromising accuracy, which could result in an unavailable network service before specific countermeasures are taken. To address this issue through a systematic investigation, we propose an elaborate resource-management mechanism against DDoS attacks in an SDN. Specifically, by considering the SDN topology, we leverage the M/M/c queuing model to measure the resistance of an SDN to DDoS attacks. Network administrators can therefore invest a reasonable number of resources into SDN switches and SDN controllers to defend against DDoS attacks while guaranteeing the quality of service(QoS). Comprehensive analyses and empirical data-based experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Evaluating RISC-V Vector Instruction Set Architecture Extension with Computer Vision Workloads

Computer vision(CV)algorithms have been extensively used for a myriad of applications *** the multimedia data are generally well-formatted and regular,it is beneficial to leverage the massive parallel processing power of the underlying platform to improve the performances of CV *** Instruction Multiple Data(SIMD)instructions,capable of conducting the same operation on multiple data items in a single instruction,are extensively employed to improve the efficiency of CV *** this paper,we evaluate the power and effectiveness of RISC-V vector extension(RV-V)on typical CV algorithms,such as Gray Scale,Mean Filter,and Edge *** our examinations,we show that compared with the baseline OpenCV implementation using scalar instructions,the equivalent implementations using the RV-V(version 0.8)can reduce the instruction count of the same CV algorithm up to 24x,when processing the same input ***,the actual performances improvement measured by the cycle counts is highly related with the specific implementation of the underlying RV-V *** our evaluation,by using the vector co-processor(with eight execution lanes)of Xuantie C906,vector-version CV algorithms averagely exhibit up to 2.98x performances speedups compared with their scalar counterparts.

TRS Scheduling for Improved QoS Performance in Cloud System

Numerous methods are analysed in detail to improve task schedulingand data security performance in the cloud environment. The methodsinvolve scheduling according to the factors like makespan, waiting time,cost, deadline, and popularity. However, the methods are inappropriate forachieving higher scheduling performance. Regarding data security, existingmethods use various encryption schemes but introduce significant serviceinterruption. This article sketches a practical Real-time Application CentricTRS (Throughput-Resource utilization–Success) Scheduling with Data Security(RATRSDS) model by considering all these issues in task scheduling anddata security. The method identifies the required resource and their claim timeby receiving the service requests. Further, for the list of resources as services,the method computes throughput support (Thrs) according to the number ofstatements executed and the complete statements of the service. Similarly, themethod computes Resource utilization support (Ruts) according to the idletime on any duty cycle and total servicing time. Also, the method computesthe value of Success support (Sus) according to the number of completions forthe number of allocations. The method estimates the TRS score (ThroughputResource utilization Success) for different resources using all these supportmeasures. According to the value of the TRS score, the services are rankedand scheduled. On the other side, based on the requirement of service requests,the method computes Requirement Support (RS). The selection of service isperformed and allocated. Similarly, choosing the route according to the RouteSupport Measure (RSM) enforced route security. Finally, data security hasgets implemented with a service-based encryption technique. The RATRSDSscheme has claimed higher performance in data security and scheduling.

Machine learning algorithms are used in various real-time applications, where security is one of the major problems. Security is applied in various aspects of the application in cloud computing. One of the security issues is a side-channel attack, which is not a common problem that can be solved by a point solution. The emerging computing industries need a better solution for side-channel attack detection since the amount of data used in communication and sharing on the Internet is enormous. Several old research works have concluded that machine learning algorithms are highly suitable for data analytics. Hence, this paper has aimed to propose a better machine-learning model for side-channel attack detection. This paper explains some machine learning algorithms from a technical point of view. The explanation identifies that the Convolution Neural Network algorithm is selected as a better algorithm for side-channel attack detection. The proposed CNN model has experimented with Python software to verify the results. Since CNN is more efficient in data analytics, the analysis result produces more accurate predictions than earlier algorithms. Semi-supervised learning based hybrid beamforming under time-varying propagation environments

Hybrid precoding is considered as a promising low-cost technique for millimeter wave(mm-wave)massive Multi-Input Multi-Output(MIMO)*** this work,referring to the time-varying propagation circumstances,with semi-supervised Incremental Learning(IL),we propose an online hybrid beamforming ***,given the constraint of constant modulus on analog beamformer and combiner,we propose a new broadnetwork-based structure for the design model of hybrid *** with the existing network structure,the proposed network structure can achieve better transmission performance and lower ***,to enhance the efficiency of IL further,by combining the semi-supervised graph with IL,we propose a hybrid beamforming scheme based on chunk-by-chunk semi-supervised learning,where only few transmissions are required to calculate the label and all other unlabelled transmissions would also be put into a training data *** the existing single-by-single approach where transmissions during the model update are not taken into the consideration of model update,all transmissions,even the ones during the model update,would make contributions to model update in the proposed *** the model update,the amount of unlabelled transmissions is very large and they also carry some information,the prediction performance can be enhanced to some extent by these unlabelled channel *** results demonstrate the spectral efficiency of the proposed method outperforms that of the existing single-by-single ***,we prove the general complexity of the proposed method is lower than that of the existing approach and give the condition under which its absolute complexity outperforms that of the existing approach.

Quantum search with prior knowledge

The combination of contextual side information and search is a powerful paradigm in the scope of artificial intelligence. The prior knowledge enables the identification of possible solutions but may be imperfect. Contextual information can arise naturally, for example in game AI where prior knowledge is used to bias move decisions. In this work we investigate the problem of taking quantum advantage of contextual information, especially searching with prior knowledge. We propose a new generalization of Grover's search algorithm that achieves the optimal expected success probability of finding the solution if the number of queries is fixed. Experiments on small-scale quantum circuits verify the advantage of our algorithm. Since contextual information exists widely, our method has wide applications. We take game tree search as an example.
