Social media is the platform for most people to share their opinions, emojis are also widely used to express moods, emotions, and feelings on social media. There have been many researched on emojis and sentiment analysis. However, existing methods mainly face two limitations. First, since deep learning relies on large amounts of labeled data, the training samples of emoji are not enough to achieve the training effect. Second, they consider the sentiment of emojis and texts separately, not fully exploring the impact of emojis on the sentiment polarity of texts. In this paper, we propose a joint learning sentiment analysis method incorporating emoji-augmentation, and the method has two advantages compared with the existing work. First, We optimize the easy data augmentation method so that the newly generated sentences can also preserve the semantic information of emojis, which relieves the problem of insufficient training data with emojis. Second, it fuses emojis and text features to allow the model to better learn the mutual emotional semantics between text and emojis, jointly training emojis and words to obtain the sentence representations containing more semantic information of both emojis and text. Our experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the performance compared with several baselines on two datasets.

Medical report generation is crucial for clinical diagnosis and patient management, summarizing diagnoses and recommendations based on medical imaging. However, existing work often overlook the clinical pipeline involved in report writing, where physicians typically conduct an initial quick review followed by a detailed examination. Moreover, current alignment methods may lead to misaligned relationships. To address these issues, we propose DAMPER, a dual-stage framework for medical report generation that mimics the clinical pipeline of report writing in two stages. In the first stage, a MeSH-Guided Coarse-Grained Alignment (MCG) stage that aligns chest X-ray (CXR) image features with medical subject headings (MeSH) features to generate a rough keyphrase representation of the overall impression. In the second stage, a Hypergraph-Enhanced Fine-Grained Alignment (HFG) stage that constructs hypergraphs for image patches and report annotations, modeling high-order relationships within each modality and performing hypergraph matching to capture semantic correlations between image regions and textual phrases. Finally,the coarse-grained visual features, generated MeSH representations, and visual hypergraph features are fed into a report decoder to produce the final medical report. Extensive experiments on public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of DAMPER in generating comprehensive and accurate medical reports, outperforming state-of-the-art methods across various evaluation metrics. Recently, a new concept called multiplicative differential was introduced by Ellingsen et al. [7]. As an extension of the differential uniformity, it is theoretically appealing to determine the properties of c-differential uniformity and the corresponding c-differential spectrum. In this paper, based on certain quadratic character sums and two special elliptic curves over $$\mathbb {F}_p$$ , the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of the following two classes of power functions over $$\mathbb {F}_{p^n}$$ is completely determined: (1) $$f_1(x)=x^{\frac{p^n+3}{2}}$$ , where $$p>3$$ and $$p\equiv 3\pmod 4$$ ; (2) $$f_2(x)=x^{p^n-3}$$ , where $$p>3$$ . The obtained result shows that the $$(-1)$$ -differential spectra of $$f_1(x)$$ and $$f_2(x)$$ can be expressed explicitly in terms of n. Moreover, an upper bound of the c-differential uniformity of $$f_2(x)$$ is given.

Globular clusters harbor numerous millisecond pulsars,but long-period pulsars(P 100 ms)are rarely *** this study,we employed a fast folding algorithm to analyze observational data from multiple globular clusters obtained by the Five-hundredmeter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST),aiming to detect the existence of long-period *** estimated the impact of the median filtering algorithm in eliminating red noise on the minimum detectable flux density(S_(min))of ***,we successfully discovered two isolated long-period pulsars in M15 with periods approximately equal to 1.928451 and3.960716 s,*** the P-˙P diagram,both pulsars are positioned below the spin-up line,suggesting a possible history of partial recycling in X-ray binary systems disrupted by dynamical encounters later *** to timing results,these two pulsars exhibit remarkably strong magnetic *** the magnetic fields were weakened during the accretion process,then a short duration of accretion might explain the strong magnetic fields of these pulsars.

3D anomaly detection has recently become a significant focus in computer vision. Several advanced methods have achieved satisfying anomaly detection performance. However, they typically concentrate on the external structure of 3D samples and struggle to leverage the internal information embedded within samples. Inspired by the basic intuition of why not look inside for more, we introduce a straightforward method named Internal Spatial Modality Perception (ISMP) to explore the feature representation from internal views fully. Specifically, our proposed ISMP consists of a critical perception module, Spatial Insight Engine (SIE), which abstracts complex internal information of point clouds into essential global features. Besides, to better align structural information with point data, we propose an enhanced key point feature extraction module for amplifying spatial structure feature representation. Simultaneously, a novel feature filtering module is incorporated to reduce noise and redundant features for further aligning precise spatial structure. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of our proposed method, achieving object-level and pixel-level AUROC improvements of 4.2% and 13.1%, respectively, on the Real3D-AD benchmarks. Note that the strong generalization ability of SIE has been theoretically proven and is verified in both classification and segmentation tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Today, thanks to the major breakthrough of sequences to sequences model in the field of natural language, most of the dialogue generation tasks are focused on generating more effective responses. However, the responses proposed by the chat-bot are only a passive answer or assentation, which does not arouse the desire of people to continue communicating. How to transform the chat robot from a passive reply to an active questioner has become an urgent problem. In this paper, a question generalization method with four types of question proposing schemes are designed, implemented, and tested to automate question generation process. The proposed system is controlled by a probability-triggered multiple conversion mechanism to actively propose different types of questions. We embed our methods in the mainstream dialogue generation model and demonstrate its effectiveness in dialogue response generalization on a standard dataset. In addition, it achieves good performance in subjective conversational assessment. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

High-fidelity kinship face synthesis has many potential applications, such as kinship verification, missing child identification, and social media analysis. However, it is challenging to synthesize high-quality descendant faces with genetic relations due to the lack of large-scale, high-quality annotated kinship data. This paper proposes RFG (Region-level Facial Gene) extraction framework to address this issue. We propose to use IGE (Image-based Gene Encoder), LGE (Latent-based Gene Encoder) and Gene Decoder to learn the RFGs of a given face image, and the relationships between RFGs and the latent space of Style-GAN2. As cycle-like losses are designed to measure the $\mathcal{L}_{2}$ distances between the output of Gene Decoder and image encoder, and that between the output of LGE and IGE, only face images are required to train our framework, i.e. no paired kinship face data is required. Based upon the proposed RFGs, a crossover and mutation module is further designed to inherit the facial parts of parents. A Gene Pool has also been used to introduce the variations into the mutation of RFGs. The diversity of the faces of descendants can thus be significantly increased. Qualitative, quantitative, and subjective experiments on FIW, TSKinFace, and FF-databases clearly show that the quality and diversity of kinship faces generated by our approach are much better than the existing state-of-the-art methods.

Distributed Traffic Engineering in Hybrid Software Defined Networks: A Multi-agent Reinforcement Learning Framework

Traffic Engineering (TE) is an efficient technique to balance network flows and thus improves the performance of a hybrid Software Defined Network (SDN). Previous TE solutions mainly leverage heuristic algorithms to centrally optimize link weight setting or traffic splitting ratios under the static traffic demand. Note that as the network scale becomes larger and network management gains more complexity, it is notably that the centralized TE methods suffer from a high computation overhead and a long reaction time to optimize routing of flows when the network traffic demand dynamically fluctuates or network failures happen. To enable adaptive and efficient routing in TE, we propose a Multi-agent Reinforcement Learning method CMRL that divides the routing optimization of a large network into multiple small-scale routing decision-making problems. To coordinate the multiple agents for achieving a global optimization goal, we construct an interactive environment for training the routing agents that own partial link utilization observations. To optimize credit assignment of multi-agent, we introduce the difference reward assignment mechanism for encouraging agents to take better action. Extensive simulations conducted on the real traffic traces demonstrate the superiority of CMRL in improving TE performance, especially when traffic demands change or network failures happen. Existing methods for modeling recommendation systems based on knowledge graphs include embedding-based, pathbased, and propagation-based methods. The embedding-based approach is flexible but more suitable for intra-graph applications, the path-based approach can model complex relationships but has a high computational cost, and the propagation-based approach considers global information but may introduce noise. This study proposed a simple and efficient model, called SEKGAT, which comprehensive the ideology of path-based and propagation approach to personalized recommendation by aggregating the user preferences through graph attention mechanism and fusing multiple feature representations on the knowledge graph into item features through pooling aggregators. Experimental results for the CTR prediction and Top-K recommendation tasks on three datasets of real-world scenarios show that our model approach is competitive.
