Software-defined radar has been an active research field for more than ten years. However, the low performance and low scalability of the traditional processing techniques of SDR make it hard to deal with complex radar tasks. The stream processing engine is a software that supports low latency and high scalability distributed data processing. It is widely used in log, image, and video processing scenarios but rarely used in radar applications. This paper reviews processing software-defined radar data by using the stream processing engine, and we illustrate the differences between processing log data and radar data. Furthermore, we discuss some optimizations for stream processing engines to get better performance in the radar data processing.

GPUs have become the defacto hardware devices for accelerating Deep Neural Network (DNN) inference workloads. However, the conventional sequential execution mode of DNN operators in mainstream deep learning frameworks cannot fully utilize GPU resources, even with the operator fusion enabled, due to the increasing complexity of model structures and a greater diversity of operators. Moreover, the inadequate operator launch order in parallelized execution scenarios can lead to GPU resource wastage and unexpected performance interference among operators. In this paper, we propose Opara, a resource- and interference-aware DNN Operator parallel scheduling framework to accelerate DNN inference on GPUs. Specifically, Opara first employs CUDA Streams and CUDA Graph to parallelize the execution of multiple operators automatically. To further expedite DNN inference, Opara leverages the resource demands of operators to judiciously adjust the operator launch order on GPUs, overlapping the execution of compute-intensive and memory-intensive operators. We implement and open source a prototype of Opara based on PyTorch in a non-intrusive manner. Extensive prototype experiments with representative DNN and Transformer-based models demonstrate that Opara outperforms the default sequential CUDA Graph in PyTorch and the state-of-the-art operator parallelism systems by up to 1.68× and 1.29×, respectively, yet with acceptable runtime overhead. In large-scale SDN network, a single centralized controller can not meet the demand, and multiple controllers are needed to deal with the problem, which leads to the problem of multi control balanced deployment. In this paper, the topology of SDN switches and links is known. The main research contents are as follows: The mathematical model of SDN multi controller deployment is established, and the appropriate network topology is selected and the multi controller deployment problem is solved. In the research, the number of controllers needed in the network and the switches managed by each controller is determined by the algorithm results, and the mapping relationship between controllers and switches is established. By analyzing the deployment results of the same network topology under different algorithms, the influence of different clustering algorithms on the experimental results is obtained. Outlier detection refers to the identification of anomalous samples that deviate significantly from the distribution of normal data and has been extensively studied and used in a variety of practical tasks. However, most unsupervised outlier detection methods are carefully designed to detect specified outliers, while real-world data may be entangled with different types of outliers. In this study, we propose a fuzzy rough sets-based multi-scale outlier detection method to identify various types of outliers. Specifically, a novel fuzzy rough sets-based method that integrates relative fuzzy granule density is first introduced to improve the capability of detecting local outliers. Then, a multi-scale view generation method based on granular-ball computing is proposed to collaboratively identify group outliers at different levels of granularity. Moreover, reliable outliers and inliers determined by the three-way decision are used to train a weighted support vector machine to further improve the performance of outlier detection. The proposed method innovatively transforms unsupervised outlier detection into a semi-supervised classification problem and for the first time explores the fuzzy rough sets-based outlier detection from the perspective of multi-scale granular balls, allowing for high adaptability to different types of outliers. Extensive experiments carried out on both artificial and UCI datasets demonstrate that the proposed outlier detection method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, improving the results by at least 8.48% in terms of the Area Under the ROC Curve (AUROC) index. The "Curse of Dimensionality" induced by the rapid development of information science, might have a negative impact when dealing with big datasets. In this paper, we propose a variant of the sparrow search algorithm (SSA), called Tent Lévy flying sparrow search algorithm (TFSSA), and use it to select the best subset of features in the packing pattern for classification purposes. SSA is a recently proposed algorithm that has not been systematically applied to feature selection problems. After verification by the CEC2020 benchmark function, TFSSA is used to select the best feature combination to maximize classification accuracy and minimize the number of selected features. The proposed TFSSA is compared with nine algorithms in the literature. Nine evaluation metrics are used to properly evaluate and compare the performance of these algorithms on twenty-one datasets from the UCI repository. Furthermore, the approach is applied to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) dataset, yielding the best average classification accuracy and the average number of feature selections, respectively, of 93.47% and 2.1. Experimental results confirm the advantages of the proposed algorithm in improving classification accuracy and reducing the number of selected features compared to other wrapper-based algorithms. Time series is the main form of sensor data. Time series prediction is conducive to reduce the energy consumption of sensor nodes and increase the service life. As time cost and computation cost of the existing hybrid prediction methods for time series are not good, this paper proposes a hybrid prediction method based on MODWT-EMD for time series. Firstly, the original time series is decomposed into multiple frequency components by Maximal Overlapping Discrete Wavelet Transform (MODWT). Secondly, the multiple frequency components are decomposed successively by Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) to obtain IMF components and residuals. IMFs and residuals contain the feature information of time series. Then, the importance of the extracted feature information is scored and sorted by random forest. We select feature information with a higher score. Finally, the selected feature information is input into Bi-GRU for training. We predicted the original time series by the trained Bi-GRU and obtained the prediction results. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can predict the time series effectively.

Forensicability Assessment of Questioned Images in Recapturing Detection

Recapture detection of face and document images is an important forensic task. With deep learning, the performances of face anti-spoofing (FAS) and recaptured document detection have been improved significantly. However, the performances are not yet satisfactory on samples with weak forensic cues. The amount of forensic cues can be quantified to allow a reliable forensic result. In this work, we propose a forensicability assessment network to quantify the forensicability of the questioned samples. The low-forensicability samples are rejected before the actual recapturing detection process to improve the efficiency of recapturing detection systems. We first extract forensicability features related to both image quality assessment and forensic tasks. By exploiting domain knowledge of the forensic application in image quality and forensic features, we define three task-specific forensicability classes and the initialized locations in the feature space. Based on the extracted features and the defined centers, we train the proposed forensic assessment network (FANet) with cross-entropy loss and update the centers with a momentum-based update method. We integrate the trained FANet with practical recapturing detection schemes in face anti-spoofing (FAS) and recaptured document detection tasks. Experimental results show that, for a generic CNN-based FAS scheme, FANet reduces the EERs from 33.75% to 19.23% under ROSE to IDIAP protocol by rejecting samples with the lowest 30% forensicability scores. The performance of FAS schemes is poor in the rejected samples, with EER as high as 56.48%. Similar performances in rejecting low-forensicability samples have been observed for the state-of-the-art approaches in FAS and recaptured document detection tasks. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work that assesses the forensicability of recaptured document images and improves the system efficiency. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. Realizing Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) based on large models is emerging as a prevailing trend. However, most existing methods merely regard large models as black boxes, solely leveraging the features output by the final layer while disregarding potential performance enhancements from other layers. Indeed, numerous researchers have visually depicted variations in the features learned across different layers of neural networks. Motivated by this observation, we propose a Vision Transformer (ViT)-based GZSL method named Depth-Aware Multi-Modal ViT (DAM2ViT), which exploits multi-level features of ViT. DAM2ViT incorporates a multi-modal interaction block to align semantic information of categories across multiple layers, thereby augmenting the model's capacity to learn associations between visual and semantic spaces. Extensive experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets (i.e., CUB, SUN, AWA2) have showcased that DAM2ViT achieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods.
