Agriculture plays a foremost role in countries growth. The physical recognition of disease in the plant is more timeconsuming and necessity of expert labor is high. One of the most vital aspect in agriculture field is plant disease that reduces quality andquantity of agricultural crops. The machine learning approaches can easily recognize these diseases compared to physical method. So the machine learning techniques in addition toimage processing is used to identify diseased leaf. These methods will help in recognizing plant diseases thus increasing the yield of plants. This paper concentrates on the previous research work that used the characteristics of machine learning techniques in addition to image processing. It describes the various plant disease types, image processing methods and also various techniques of plant disease systems are analyzed with accuracy. Finally, the various challenges in the recognition of plant leaf diseases are identified and listed. © 2022 IEEE.

Video object segmentation aims to extract 2D object masks by segmenting video frames into multiple objects, which is crucial in various practical applications such as medical imaging, etc.. However, traditional video object segmentation methods produce 2D masks, which are not suitable for 3D scenarios where depth information is essential, such as in robotic grasping, virtual reality, and autonomous driving, etc.. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of 3D human mesh reconstruction (HMR) as an extension beyond 2D video object segmentation. We begin by reviewing the mainstream video object segmentation methods, then transition from 2D video object segmentation to 3D HMR. We further categorize recent HMR methods based on key characteristics that define this research field, including the type of model input and the use of statistical models. Colored Petri nets (CPNs) provide descriptions of the concurrent behaviors for software and hardware. Model checking based on CPNs is an effective method to simulate and verify the concurrent behavior in system design. However, the model-checking method traverses the full state space, which suffers from the state-space explosion problem. A reduced state-space generation method related to the property of concurrent systems is proposed. Specifically, we extend CPNs to define a property-related model (CPN-PR) and give a property-related analysis method whose results can be used to generate the CPN-PR model. A reduced state-space generation method is developed based on enabled binding element filtering rules. The stutter trace equivalence between the state spaces of CPN and CPN-PR has been proven by showing that the reduced state space may not change the model-checking result. A comparison experiment is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Depression is a typical condition that impacts 3.8 % in total population, with 5.0 % of adults and 5.7 % of oldaged persons suffering from it. Depression can be dangerous to one's health, especially if it is persistent and has a moderate or severe intensity. Despite the fact that there are effective treatments for mental diseases, as well 75% of developing countries do not obtain them. In this paper, a smart gadget (a mobile phone or a robot) and medical imaging are used to identify depression without the need for clinical advice. By comparing the various elements of input and evaluating their performance, efficient technology can be used to forecast depression and ensure privacy. © 2022 IEEE.

Efficient Remote Memory Paging for Disaggregated Memory Systems 1

Memory disaggregation has attracted increasing attention in recent years because it is a cost-efficient approach to scale memory capacity for applications in a data center. However, the latency of remote memory access is a major concern in disaggregated memory systems. This paper presents VANDI, a virtual memory paging mechanism that allows applications to use remote memory pools transparently. VANDI enables effective data caching and prefetching mechanisms to address the problem of high access latency in disaggregated memory systems. VANDI exploits a low-complexity cache replacement strategy to optimize the asynchronous staging queue so that the remote write latency can be significantly reduced. VANDI can also prefetch data in multi-granularity from a remote memory pool in an adaptive manner, and thus further improves the hit rate of the local cache to reduce the read latency of remote memory. Our extensive experiments using micro-benchmarks show that VANDI can improve the performance of typical remote paging system–Infiniswap by up to 15 × –102 ×. VANDI can also improve the performance of state-of-the-art disaggregated memory system–Valet by 1.2 × –2.7 ×. For typical machine learning workloads, VANDI can achieve 20% to 80% performance improvement compared with the state-of-the-art Valet. © 2023, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

India, whose population growth is its greatest asset cannot afford to let its people eat confectionery that is either tainted or somehow polluted, since this would lead to extensive malnutrition. Traditional food supply chains are characterized by centralization and the problems associated with it such as having a single point of failure and producing inconsistent products while compromising the quality, along with data loss. With the need for daily reports in all regions of India regarding food fraud, contamination, and adulteration, a clearly advanced decentralized model is sought after for the creation of a supply chain. This paper introduces the supply chain network for the Indian confectionery market based on blockchain to better address quality claims, contamination, and transparency. This enables real-time traceability within the ecosystem, by using IoT strategies along with the Ethereum blockchain leading to better product authentication and resulting in higher consumer confidence. Blockchain creates a secure data tracking function, while smart contracts can be used to define the process - such as IoT monitoring of temperature. The united method enables verified data to be available to the consumer, energy efficiency, and trust across the supply chain. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper extends Whisper's automatic speech recognition (ASR) capabilities to perform speech-based emotion recognition (SER) by incorporating word-level emotion classification alongside ASR output. We generate four emotion pseudo-labels (neutral, happy, sad, angry) for each word using a pretrained frame-level SER model, and Whisper is fine-tuned for joint ASR and emotion classification at the word level. Sentence-level emotion labels are masked during training to encourage the transformer to use the ASR output for word-level emotion prediction. During inference, word-level predictions are combined with sentence-level predictions through majority voting to generate the final sentence-level label. When evaluated on the IEMOCAP dataset, our method maintains Whisper's ASR word error rate while improving the SER weighted accuracy from 74.4% to 76.4% and the unweighted average recall from 77.1% to 79.0%. © 2025 IEEE.

PKEST: Public-Key Encryption With Similarity Test for Medical Consortia Cloud computing

Cloud computing eliminates the limitations of local hardware architecture while also enabling rapid data sharing between healthcare institutions. Encryption of electronic medical records (EMRs) before uploading to cloud servers is necessary for privacy. However, encryption brings challenges for computation. Public Key Encryption with Equality Test (PKEET) allows cloud servers to test the underlying message equality without decryption. Therefore, it can be used to classify the encrypted EMRs corresponding to different medical symptoms. However, traditional PKEETs have limitations in testing the similarity between the ciphertexts. Undoubtedly, it can not handle EMR classification with similar medical symptoms efficiently. In this work, we propose a lightweight public key encryption with similarity test (PKEST) for the EMR classification shared in medical consortia. Our scheme can resist offline message recovery attacks, which may be launched by the insider manager, and the traditional paring computation is not necessary. Our experiment simulation shows that the similarity error between ciphertext and plaintext is tiny when the parameters are set properly. Compared to previous works, our scheme not only achieves the classification of similar encrypted EMRs but is also more efficient than traditional PKEETs since our construction does not need paring computation anymore. © 2013 IEEE.
