Due to the wide spread of XML and its importance, twig query matching, which has been identified as a core operation in querying XML data, has become a research hotspot. Although a number of algorithms have been proposed recently to process a twig query holistically, existing algorithms can be further improved with the help of the DTD file. In this paper, we (1) proposed the Sketch Tree structure according to the DTD scheme and employed it to translate the queries; (2) proposed a new labeling scheme named Sketch Dewey on the basis of the Sketch Tree to encode not only the elements in XML data but also the query; (3) designed an efficient path matching algorithm called PathCheck and a novel holistic twig join algorithm called TJumperJoin utilizing the Sketch Dewey code. To answer a query, they only need to scan the elements of leaf nodes in the query and benefitting from the Sketch Dewey labeling scheme, they can take advantage of bitwise operation to make acceleration. At last, extensive experiments are performed to examine the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed techniques.

The world’s population is showing an aging trend. So much so that this will become one of the most significant social transformations of the 21st century. Its consequences affect almost all sectors of society, from the labor and financial markets to family structures and tourism. There is no doubt that this demographic change is a major challenge, but also an opportunity that seeks to take advantage of this new market niche, the so-called Silver Economy. In this line, the tourism sector has to adapt its offer to the Silver Economy, and more specifically to the Silver Tourists, by offering an aging-friendly offer adapted to the environment and taking advantage of new technologies. Today, one of the best ways to access updated tourist information is through chatbots and voice assistants that can offer a new intelligent interface that has all the tourist offers updated in real-time. However, there are large rural areas where there is no Internet connectivity. This circumstance limits tourists’ access to the Internet and, consequently, to all information. In order to favor the access to tourist information and associated services to this new target of tourists, this work aims to carry out research tasks with the purpose of designing a new technological solution based on voice assistants without Internet connection that allows providing all the relevant tourist information in an updated way to the tourists in question.

A machine learning-based e-commerce personalised recommendation system helps address the issue of information overload that inevitably arises when consumers have more and more options in e-commerce, leading to an increasingly complex structure. Customer segmentation is a crucial component of contemporary marketing strategy since it enables companies to effectively adjust their advertising campaigns and customise their communications with customers. Through the analysis of enormous quantities of consumer behaviour data and the discovery of trends that can be utilised for dividing customers into segments, ML algorithms provide a potent tool for automating the procedure of customer segmentation. We report our research and results for identifying a customer's segment. In order to perform machine learning, we integrate the Python Tensorflow library with Pandas for manipulating data frames. To address any discrepancies or gaps in the collected client data, it is refined. Key features are found, and to find hidden patterns and relationships, an exploratory analysis of the data is done. After that, we decide on a suitable machine learning technique to divide the clientele into various groups. We also experiment with several clustering models, including conventional machine learning techniques.

Leakage-Resilient Inner-Product Encryption with Attribute-Hiding

In this work, we present two generic frameworks for leakage-resilient inner-product encryption (IPE) over prime-order groups. First, we propose a leakage-resilient IPE with attribute-hiding, which is adaptively secure under $k$-Lin assumption in the bounded leakage model. Prior to this work, no one has yet constructed a leakage-resilient IPE scheme over prime-order groups with both adaptive security and attribute-hiding. Then, we present a leakage-resilient IPE with full security, which possesses stronger continual leakage resilience. Our second framework can also be used for leakage-resilient attribute-based encryption. It is compatible with Zhang et al.'s work [DCC 2018] but more generic. To our best knowledge, previous leakage-resilient frameworks with the similar effect cannot act on some specific schemes while ours manages to do this. Technically, our frameworks are both built on an IPE scheme without leakage-resilience through a method of adding redundancy. For first framework, we manage to obtain bounded leakage resilience while preserving attribute-hiding. For second framework, we improve the method of adding redundancy by which we adapt the underlying IPE to a leakage-resilient one against continual leakage. We observe that this method also acts on the transformation of leakage-resilient attribute-based encryption, which enhances the versatility of our framework. © 2022, The Authors. Surgical guide plate is an important tool for the dental implant surgery. However, the design process heavily relies on the dentist to manually simulate the implant angle and depth. When deep neural networks have been applied to assist the dentist quickly locates the implant position, most of them are not able to determine the implant depth. Inspired by the video grounding task which localizes the starting and ending time of the target video segment, in this paper, we simplify the implant depth prediction as video grounding and develop a Texture Perceive Implant Depth Prediction Network (TPNet), which enables us to directly output the implant depth without complex measurements of oral bone. TPNet consists of an implant region detector (IRD) and an implant depth prediction network (IDPNet). IRD is an object detector designed to crop the candidate implant volume from the CBCT, which greatly saves the computation resource. IDPNet takes the cropped CBCT data to predict the implant depth. A Texture Perceive Loss (TPL) is devised to enable the encoder of IDPNet to perceive the texture variation among slices. Extensive experiments on a large dental implant dataset demonstrated that the proposed TPNet achieves superior performance than the existing methods. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Breast cancer develops from breast tissue and leads to abnormally growing cells in the chest. Doctors usually look for tumors on a mammogram, and some mammograms contain abnormal macrocalcifications and microcalcifications when the image quality is very poor. The presence of these abnormal amounts of calcium deposits in the breast is a sign of early breast cancer and should never be ignored. The image quality should be of the highest quality for an accurate interpretation of this mammographic deposit. Proposed research work is ongoing, exploring other screening methods and the stages of breast cancer. Improved Adaptive Fuzzy C-Means (IAFCM), Ant Colony Algorithm (ACA), and TNM (The size of the breast tumour (T), adjacent lymph nodes and Metastasized methods are used which builds the proposed medical image processing systems into an efficient way. Modified Poisson Inverse Gradient, Metastasized classifier (MPIG) has been used for classification. More than 500 image modalities are involved in all of the approaches. Clinical practitioners who make decisions based on photographs are predicted to benefit from the findings of this study.

Hidden following is following behavior with special intentions, and detecting hidden following behavior can prevent many criminal activities in advance. The previous method uses gaze and spacing behaviors to distinguish hidden followers from normal pedestrians. However, they express gaze behaviors in a coarse-grained way with binary values, making it difficult to accurately depict the gaze state of pedestrians. To this end, we propose the Refined Hidden Follower Detection (RHFD) model by choosing a suitable mapping function based on the principle that the closer the gaze direction is to someone, the more likely it is to gaze at someone, which converts the gaze direction into a continuous estimated gaze state representing the complex and variable gaze behavior of pedestrians. Simultaneously, we introduce variations in the magnitude and direction of pedestrian velocity to refine the representation of pedestrian walking states. Experimental results on the surveillance dataset show that RHFD outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

Large-scale analysis of framework-specific exceptions in android apps

Mobile apps have become ubiquitous. For app developers, it is a key priority to ensure their apps' correctness and reliability. However, many apps still suffer from occasional to frequent crashes, weakening their competitive edge. Large-scale, deep analyses of the characteristics of real-world app crashes can provide useful insights to guide developers, or help improve testing and analysis tools. However, such studies do not exist - this paper fills this gap. Over a four-month long effort, we have collected 16,245 unique exception traces from 2,486 open-source Android apps, and observed that framework-specific exceptions account for the majority of these crashes. We then extensively investigated the 8,243 frameworkspecific exceptions (which took six person-months): (1) identifying their characteristics (e.g., manifestation locations, common fault categories), (2) evaluating their manifestation via state-of-the-art bug detection techniques, and (3) reviewing their fixes. Besides the insights they provide, these findings motivate and enable follow-up research on mobile apps, such as bug detection, fault localization and patch generation. In addition, to demonstrate the utility of our findings, we have optimized Stoat, a dynamic testing tool, and implemented ExLocator, an exception localization tool, for Android apps. Stoat is able to quickly uncover three previously-unknown, confirmed/fixed crashes in Gmail and Google+;ExLocator is capable of precisely locating the root causes of identified exceptions in real-world apps. Inspired by the success of Contrastive Learning (CL) in computer vision and natural language processing, Graph Contrastive Learning (GCL) has been developed to learn discriminative node representations on graph datasets. However, the development of GCL on Heterogeneous Information Networks (HINs) is still in the infant stage. For example, it is unclear how to augment the HINs without substantially altering the underlying semantics, and how to design the contrastive objective to fully capture the rich semantics. Moreover, early investigations demonstrate that CL suffers from sampling bias, whereas conventional debiasing techniques are empirically shown to be inadequate for GCL. How to mitigate the sampling bias for heterogeneous GCL is another important problem. To address the aforementioned challenges, we propose a novel Heterogeneous Graph Contrastive Multi-view Learning (HGCML) model. In particular, we use metapaths as the augmentation to generate multiple subgraphs as multi-views, and propose a contrastive objective to maximize the mutual information between any pairs of metapath-induced views. To alleviate the sampling bias, we further propose a positive sampling strategy to explicitly select positives for each node via jointly considering semantic and structural information preserved on each metapath view. Extensive experiments demonstrate HGCML consistently outperforms state-of-the-art baselines on five real-world benchmark datasets.
