This research introduces the distributed ledger technology (blockchain) in terms of sustainable development in the future. This study is based on private, public and global communications in various industries. The growing demands for secure and decentralized transactions around the world demonstrate the need for Blockchain technology as a medium of operations and communications. The blockchain system is completely decentralized and allows users to exchange messages in an efficient and secure manner. The highlight of the paper is the anticipated future use of blockchain networks as a communication tool in every business and digital economy for a safe and sustainable development, while presenting its advantages and limitations that have been confirmed based on the experiences of various experts. Moreover, the article provides recommendations for the use of blockchain to greatly complicate its identification in future communications. The paper also concludes that the use of the blockchain system could be beneficial and enhance future communications and digital technologies. © 2021 IEEE.

Efficiently Tackling Million-Dimensional Multiobjective Problems: A Direction Sampling and Fine-Tuning Approach

We define very large-scale multiobjective optimization problems as optimizing multiple objectives (VLSMOPs) with more than 100,000 decision variables. These problems hold substantial significance, given the ubiquity of real-world scenarios necessitating the optimization of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of variables. However, the larger dimension in VLSMOPs intensifies the curse of dimensionality and poses significant challenges for existing large-scale evolutionary multiobjective algorithms, rendering them more difficult to solve within the constraints of practical computing resources. To overcome this issue, we propose a novel approach called the very large-scale multiobjective optimization framework (VMOF). The method efficiently samples general yet suitable evolutionary directions in the very large-scale space and subsequently fine-tunes these directions to locate the Pareto-optimal solutions. To sample the most suitable evolutionary directions for different solutions, Thompson sampling is adopted for its effectiveness in recommending from a very large number of items within limited historical evaluations. Furthermore, a technique is designed for fine-tuning directions specific to tracking Pareto-optimal solutions. To understand the designed framework, we present our analysis of the framework and then evaluate VMOF using widely recognized benchmarks and real-world problems spanning dimensions from 100 to 1,000,000. Experimental results demonstrate that our method exhibits superior performance not only on LSMOPs but also on VLSMOPs when compared to existing algorithms. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have gained considerable attention as a platform for establishing aerial wireless networks and communications. However, the line-of-sight dominance in air-to-ground communications often leads to significant interference with terrestrial networks, reducing communication efficiency among terrestrial terminals. This paper explores a novel uplink interference mitigation approach based on the collaborative beamforming (CB) method in multi-UAV network systems. Specifically, the UAV swarm forms a UAV-enabled virtual antenna array (VAA) to achieve the transmissions of gathered data to multiple base stations (BSs) for data backup and distributed processing. However, there is a trade-off between the effectiveness of CB-based interference mitigation and the energy conservation of UAVs. Thus, by jointly optimizing the excitation current weights and hover position of UAVs as well as the sequence of data transmission to various BSs, we formulate an uplink interference mitigation multi-objective optimization problem (MOOP) to decrease interference affection, enhance transmission efficiency, and improve energy efficiency, simultaneously. In response to the computational demands of the formulated problem, we introduce an evolutionary computation method, namely chaotic non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (CNSGA-II) with multiple improved operators. The proposed CNSGA-II efficiently addresses the formulated MOOP, outperforming several other comparative algorithms, as evidenced by the outcomes of the simulations. Moreover, the proposed CB-based uplink interference mitigation approach can significantly reduce the interference caused by UAVs to non-receiving BSs. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In the digital era,electronic medical record(EMR)has been a major way for hospitals to store patients’medical *** traditional centralized medical system and semi-trusted cloud storage are difficult to achieve dynamic balance between privacy protection and data *** storage capacity of blockchain is limited and single blockchain schemes have poor scalability and low *** address these issues,we propose a secure and efficient medical data storage and sharing scheme based on double *** our scheme,we encrypt the original EMR and store it in the *** storage blockchain stores the index of the complete EMR,and the shared blockchain stores the index of the shared part of the *** with different attributes can make requests to different blockchains to share different parts according to their own *** experiments,it was found that cloud storage combined with blockchain not only solved the problem of limited storage capacity of blockchain,but also greatly reduced the risk of leakage of the original *** Extraction Signature(CES)combined with the double blockchain technology realized the separation of the privacy part and the shared part of the original *** symmetric encryption technology combined with Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP–ABE)not only ensures the safe storage of data in the cloud,but also achieves the consistency and convenience of data update,avoiding redundant backup of *** analysis and performance analysis verified the feasibility and effectiveness of our scheme.

Document retrieval plays an essential role in many real-world applications especially when the data storage is outsourced. Due to the great advantages offered by cloud computing, clients tend to outsource their personal data to remote servers maintained by external service providers. This raises serious privacy concerns about outsourced data because such providers are usually considered untrusted entities. The majority of previous schemes of document similarity search share the same limitation: they focus mainly on static collections. Dynamic searchable schemes (DSE) allow adding or removing documents at the expense of more leakage than static schemes. To thwart certain attacks, DSE schemes should support forward privacy property, which ensures that newly added documents cannot be related to previously issued search queries. We design and implement dynamic secure similarity search schemes with forward privacy for textual documents utilizing simhash method for hamming similarity. Our scheme provides an efficient search time and a sufficient level of privacy. To show the practicality of our proposed scheme, we performed excremental results with large document collections.

SliceLocator: Locating Vulnerable Statements with Graph-based Detectors

Vulnerability detection is a crucial component in the software development lifecycle. Existing vulnerability detectors, especially those based on deep learning (DL) models, have achieved high effectiveness. Despite their capability of detecting vulnerable code snippets from given code fragments, the detectors are typically unable to further locate the fine-grained information pertaining to the vulnerability, such as the precise vulnerability triggering locations. Although explanation methods can filter important statements based on the predictions of code fragments, their effectiveness is limited by the fact that the model primarily learns the difference between vulnerable and non-vulnerable samples. In this paper, we propose SliceLocator, which, unlike previous approaches, leverages the detector’s understanding of the differences between vulnerable and non-vulnerable samples—essentially, vulnerability-fixing statements. SliceLocator identifies the most relevant taint flow by selecting the highest-weighted flow path from all potential vulnerability-triggering statements in the program, in conjunction with the detector. We demonstrate that SliceLocator consistently performs well on four state-of-the-art GNN-based vulnerability detectors, achieving an accuracy of around 87% in flagging vulnerability-triggering statements across six common C/C++ vulnerabilities. Distributed Compressed Sensing Based on Local Transformer Network

Among compressed sensing algorithms, Distributed Compressed Sensing (DCS) stands out for its ability to jointly reconstruct multiple signals, making it a focal point of interest for researchers and engineers , thanks to its outstanding efficiency in signal reconstruction. In contrast to conventional approaches that depend on a priori estimates, like joint sparsity of signals, deep neural networks leverage their robust feature extraction and sequence modeling abilities to automatically capture inter-signal dependencies. This confers them with the benefits of faster solving speed and superior reconstruction accuracy. Most of the current methods, however, do not fully utilize the global dependency information between signals, while also ignoring the detailed features within the signals. Therefore, this paper proposes a Local Transformer Network for DCS (LTN-DCS). It utilizes the self-attention mechanism to extract global contextual information between the reconstructed signal sequences, while also addressing local redundancy partitioning within the signal sequences for finer-grained information capture. This approach generates probabilistic estimates of the non-zero element positions in each signal, forming the foundation for selecting basis atoms from the sampling matrix. Finally, the least-squares method is used to achieve the signal reconstruction. Through extensive experiments, the results show that our proposed method outperforms state-ofthe art DCS methods. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Edge computing, with its advantages in terms of lightweight data transmission between users and cloud platforms, has become a promising solution for alleviating the heavy burden of timely data processing in many IoT scenarios, such as smart commerce and wise medicine. While several challenges are raised when we fuse the multiple-source IoT data recorded by different edge servers. First of all, data repetition within each edge server can greatly reduce the efficiency of various edge-based smart applications. Besides, IoT data fusion associated with multiple distributed edge servers can compromise user privacy. In addition, the multi-dimensional and interrelated nature of IoT data complicates precise data mining and analysis. To tackle these issues, a novel edge data fusion method (named TLTM) for cross-platform service recommendation is brought forth, which considers data dimensions, data correlation, and data privacy simultaneously. At last, to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the TLTM method, we have designed massive experiments on the popular WS-DREAM dataset. The reported experimental results show that our TLTM method is superior to other related methods in terms of popular performance metrics including MAE, RMSE, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and Time cost. © 2024, The Authors. FedSSA: Semantic Similarity-based Aggregation for Efficient Model-Heterogeneous Personalized Federated Learning

Federated learning (FL) is a privacy-preserving collaboratively machine learning paradigm. Traditional FL requires all data owners (a.k.a. FL clients) to train the same local model. This design is not well-suited for scenarios involving data and/or system heterogeneity. Model-Heterogeneous Personalized FL (MHPFL) has emerged to address this challenge. Existing MHPFL approaches often rely on a public dataset with the same nature as the learning task, or incur high computation and communication costs. To address these limitations, we propose the Federated Semantic Similarity Aggregation (FedSSA) approach for supervised classification tasks, which splits each client’s model into a heterogeneous (structure-different) feature extractor and a homogeneous (structure-same) classification header. It performs local-to-global knowledge transfer via semantic similarity-based header parameter aggregation. In addition, global-to-local knowledge transfer is achieved via an adaptive parameter stabilization strategy which fuses the seen-class parameters of historical local headers with that of the latest global header for each client. FedSSA does not rely on public datasets, while only requiring partial header parameter transmission to save costs. Theoretical analysis proves the convergence of FedSSA. Extensive experiments present that FedSSA achieves up to 3.62% higher accuracy, 15.54 times higher communication efficiency, and 15.52 times higher computational efficiency compared to 7 state-of-the-art MHPFL baselines. Autonomous driving has been gaining a lot of attention in the field of transportation technology in recent years. The use of autonomous vehicles has the potential to reduce the number of road accidents caused by human error, improve traffic flow, increase fuel efficiency and save time for travelers. In federated learning systems, selecting trustworthy autonomous vehicles (AVs) to participate in training is critical for ensuring system performance and reliability. In this work, we propose a trust-aware approach to AV selection that incorporates the performance of each AV using the Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations (LIME) method and One-Shot Federated Learning. We modify the XAI LIME Deep Q-learning-based AV selection model to include the trust metric, resulting in the Trust-Aware XAI LIME Deep Q-learning-based AV selection model. Our experiments show that the trust-aware approach outperforms the standard approach in terms of both accuracy and reliability, demonstrating the effectiveness of incorporating trust metrics in AV selection.
