The development team needs to work together with a customer who has a basic understanding of information technology. Customers need to be aware of the business processes and the importance of technology. A customer and the development team need to communicate and understand each other in the software project's development. software projects can be successfully built when the customer has sufficient capacity. The process of building an organization's strength and sustainability is called capacity-building. software projects are more effective and quality when capacity development takes place at the organizational level. Capacity directly affects work performance and business outcomes. Due to low customer capacity, we have found in practice and in the literature that False Requirements, No Basic technology Knowledge, No Domain Knowledge, Mismanaged Timeline, No Trust in software Project, and Unproductive Discussion are the main customer capacity challenges to the software project development team. We documented our experiences and five newly discovered patterns in government organizations to solve the mentioned challenges. We present this documented experience in the form of patterns in this paper to improve the customer capacity Before work begins on a software project or during the software development process. Some organizational patterns that reduce the mentioned challenges are also used along with newly discovered patterns. We have illustrated the sequences of the patterns and explained how we could make a pattern language from these patterns.

The agriculture industry is one of the most significant sources of foreign exchange and employment in the Sri Lankan market. Therefore, small crops play a crucial role in ensuring the food security of the population as they are integral components of Sri Lankan cuisine. However, industry experts have identified inefficient disease and pest management as a hindrance to production. This issue requires immediate attention and proper action, which can be effectively addressed through the utilization of ICT technologies. Consequently, this research paper proposes a smart system that aims to assist farmers and agriculture professionals by providing them with farmer education, disease and infestation management tools, as well as progression level calculations. The implementation of this system aims to uplift the agriculture industry in Sri Lanka. The developed 'AI-based mobile application system for Brinjal Diseases,' which is based on analyzing the eating patterns of leafhopper damage, presents an innovative approach to identify the most significant threats to Brinjal, specifically focusing on leafhopper damage. This proposed system effectively informs various stakeholders, including the Area Agricultural Research Officer, Seed Certification and Plant Protection Center (SCPPC), Agricultural Service Center, Office of the Register of Pesticides (ROP), Plant Protection Service (PPS), as well as farmers, regarding the dispersion and prevention of brinjal diseases and pest infections. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing demand for new technologies, the speed of delivering a packet is becoming the major focus of various industries. The generation of huge traffic is becoming the bottleneck of the current scenario. By segregating the control plane from the data plane, software Defined Networking (SDN) is able to many such issues to certain extent. But the traffic engineering problem still remains as an important topic to focus on. Ternary Content Addressable Memory (TCAM) is capable of solving many such issues with the cost of its cost and power issues. For the effective use of TCAM, various algorithms and mechanisms have been proposed by many researchers. Bloom filter is one of the popular ways which is able to provide effective solutions after collaborating with TCAM. An algorithm has been proposed which is able to find the exact match of the entry in TCAM. The use of a CRC generator and multiple hashing tables makes it effective at finding the presence of a flow rule in TCAM, in very little time. The major focus is on the fast search procedure for finding the exact match of the flow rule. The number of false positives (FPs) is reduced to a lower percentage value as compared to the existing approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Towards personalized control of things using Arabic voice commands for elderly and with disabilities people

Considering recent smart home solutions that automate home appliances through voice commands, elderly people and/or with special needs prefer using their mother-tongue. However, most of current systems adopt the English language, making it harder for non-native English speakers, while personalization is not heavily considered. In this paper, we propose the Arabic Personalized Control of Things (APCoT) system that achieves inhabitant-tailored home automation through Arabic voice commands based on the user’s preferences to control a home device. A new dataset is created for a wider range of Arabic voice commands to interact with home appliances rather than just turning them on/off. Internet of Things, voice and speech recognition are utilized to attain personalization according to the inhabitants' voiceprints, while infrared is adopted to control non-smart devices supporting infrared signals. As a Proof-of-Concept, three home appliances are adopted: TV, Lights and Bluetooth speaker. Machine learning algorithms are customized for Arabic voice recognition, integrating face and hand gestures recognition to provide an additional facility for inhabitant’s identification and sending control commands respectively. The experimental results indicate that the best average accuracies obtained for Arabic voice recognition were 99.63% for a single speaker and 95.4% for multi-speakers, with average response times 0.141s and 14.29s respectively. For speech recognition, Google online API and a customized Vosk offline pretrained model achieved average accuracies of 95% and 90%, average response times 0.7553s and 0.3933s respectively. The face and hand gestures recognition achieved average accuracies of 90% and 98%, average response times 0.5934s and 15.62049s respectively. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management.

A network intrusion detection system (NIDS) is a crucial component of a robust cybersecurity strategy. Its primary purpose is to continuously monitor network traffic and detect suspicious or malicious activity that could be indicative of a cyberattack or unauthorized network access. The effectiveness of NIDS depends heavily on the techniques we use to boost the classification accuracy of intrusion and minimize the computational difficulty while performing training and testing. The high volume of network traffic combined with its large number of features will increase the classification time. With the recent emergence of deep learning techniques, scientists have shown interest in learning dataset features, followed by the classification of intrusions. This study offers a novel method for extracting high-dimensional features from input data by employing a stacked sparse autoencoder. Simple machine learning models are then built using the remaining low-dimensionality features. Simulations were conducted, and the efficacy of binary and multiclass classifications was verified. The proposed method exceeds most of the other existing approaches in terms of performance. © 2023 IEEE.

There are various ways of how reality is recreated in games. These patterns recur in within a single game and throughout many games. There are contradictory forces that lead to a solution that can be reused. Clearly, these ways of recreating reality in games exhibit the properties of patterns in the Alexandrian sense, that heavily influenced the area of software development. Identifying the patterns of recreating reality in games is important in order to develop entertaining and interesting games that people will enjoy playing. Implementing them can greatly improve the quality of games. Furthermore, the patterns are flexible, thus they can be used in many creative ways. For games to be enjoyable and plausible, the reality within them needs to be recreated. Good practices in achieving this can be captured as patterns in the Alexandrian sense. This paper brings in the idea of patterns of recreating reality in games, the connections between them, how they are implemented, and how to apply them. Five patterns mined in Minecraft and other successful games are presented---The Presence of an Enjoyable Challenge, Preservation of Progress, Flexibility of the Laws of Nature, Expansion of Inventory Limits, and Fast Travel---along with the relationships between them and examples of where they can be found. A story describing gameplay of Minecraft from a player's perspective has been used to show exact examples of these patterns.

Rapid technological advancement has enabled modern healthcare systems to provide more sophisticated and real-time services on the Internet of Medical Things(IoMT).The existing cloud-based,centralized IoMT architectures are vulnerable to multiple security and privacy *** blockchain-enabled IoMT is an emerging paradigm that can ensure the security and trustworthiness of medical data sharing in the IoMT *** article presents a private and easily expandable blockchain-based framework for the *** proposed framework contains several participants,including private blockchain,hospitalmanagement systems,cloud service providers,doctors,and *** security is ensured by incorporating an attributebased encryption ***,an IoT-friendly consensus algorithm is deployed to ensure fast block validation and high scalability in the IoMT *** proposed framework can perform multiple healthcare-related services in a secure and trustworthy *** performance of blockchain read/write operations is evaluated in terms of transaction throughput and *** outcomes indicate that the proposed scheme achieved an average throughput of 857 TPS and 151 TPS for read and write *** average latency is 61 ms and 16 ms for read and write operations,respectively.

In this paper, we present experimental results on the use of all-organic Chlorophyll-based saturable absorber (Chl-SA) extracted from spinach for the generation of Q- switched pulse. The Chl-SA was fabricated by depositing Chl in powder form onto a fiber ferrule. The Chl-SA generated Q- switched pulse at 1559-1560 nm when employed in a 980 nm laser diode pumped erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) cavity. Pulse generation was achieved from 45 mW pump power up to 70 mW pump powers where the repetition rate increased while pulse duration shortened with increasing pump power. The highest repetition rate of 15.15 kHz and shortest pulse width of 32 µs were obtained. This highlights the promising potential of chlorophyll as a standalone material and its capacity to potentially boost the generation of pulse lasers when combined with other materials.

Properly created and securely communicated,non-disclosure agreement(NDA)can resolve most of the common disputes related to outsourcing of offshore software maintenance(OSMO).Occasionally,these NDAs are in the form of *** the work is done offshore,these agreements or images must be shared through the Internet or stored over the *** breach of privacy,on the other hand,is a potential threat for the image owners as both the Internet and cloud servers are not void of *** article proposes a novel algorithm for securing the NDAs in the form of *** an agreement is signed between the two parties,it will be encrypted before sending to the cloud server or travelling through the public network,the *** the image is input to the algorithm,its pixels would be scrambled through the set of randomly generated rectangles for an arbitrary amount of *** confusion effects have been realized through an XOR operation between the confused image,and chaotic ***,5D multi-wing hyperchaotic system has been employed to spawn the chaotic vectors due to good properties of chaoticity it *** machine experimentation and the security analysis through a comprehensive set of validation metric vividly demonstrate the robustness,defiance to the multifarious threats and the prospects for some real-world application of the proposed encryption algorithm for the NDA images.
