Recent years, Fiber-reinforced P A6 (nylon 66) composite has been used as insulating material for medium voltage switchgear because of its performance advantages and environmental protection value. However, there are still many performance distances compared with epoxy insulation materials. In this paper, according to the insulation requirements for medium voltage switchgear, modification was practiced for P A6 by using high-performance aromatic P A6T. The variety of formulations of PA6 and PA6T mixing ratio of 3:7, 5:5, 7:3 was studied. The mechanical and electrical properties as well as the long-term electrothermal aging property of these formulations were compared with the P A6 material and epoxy material as the reference substances. The results showed that the mixture ratio of 5:5 has ideal comprehensive properties and is an ideal environmental protection substitute insulation material. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development of big data and deep learning technology, the goal of creating an automatic human-machine dialog system is no longer an illusion. However, obtaining correct dialog label is very challenging due to expensive purchase cost and time cost. Through the transfer of knowledge, we proposed RC_DST which enables the dialog state tracking model to infer the state of dialog between different domains accurately and improves the accuracy in a new domain without or with a few of labeled data. In this paper, we utilizes XLNet which performs well in processing long texts to encode the dependency between the dialog context and slot semantics. Meanwhile, we expands machine reading comprehension to non-categorical and categorical slots in different ways. Extensive experiment results show that our method achieves competitive results in a new domain with zero samples compared with exclusive training data in this domain. © 2021 ACM.

With the high-proportion access of new energy, the complexity and uncertainty of new power system are increasing. The frequency stability problem becomes more and more prominent, which brings huge challenges to the operation and control of gird. Reinforcement learning (RL) is one of the most suitable methods for power system optimization and control in artificial intelligence (AI). In order to better grasp and more effectively improve RL frequency regulation control technologies, this paper reviews the research progress of RL algorithm in the field of frequency regulation control of new power systems. Firstly, the basic principle and research branch of RL are introduced. Then the applications of RL in frequency regulation control are investigated in detail for single agent RL and multi-agent RL (MARL). Finally, the future developments for applications of reinforcement learning in frequency regulation control field are summarized and prospected. © 2022 IEEE.

The emergence of novel the dummy data injection attack (DDIA) poses a severe threat to the secure and stable operation of power systems. These attacks are particularly perilous due to the minimal Euclidean spatial separation between the injected malicious data and legitimate data, rendering their precise detection challenging using conventional distance-based methods. Furthermore, existing research predominantly focuses on various machine learning techniques, often analyzing the temporal data sequences post-attack or relying solely on Euclidean spatial characteristics. Unfortunately, this approach tends to overlook the inherent topological correlations within the non-Euclidean spatial attributes of power grid data, consequently leading to diminished accuracy in attack localization. To address this issue, this study takes a comprehensive approach. Initially, it examines the underlying principles of these new DDIAs on power systems. Here, an intricate mathematical model of the DDIA is designed, accounting for incomplete topological knowledge and alternating current (AC) state estimation from an attacker's perspective. This model aims to mitigate the vulnerabilities associated with direct current (DC) flow-based attack data generation methods that can be readily detected. Subsequently, by integrating a priori knowledge of grid topology and considering the temporal correlations within measurement data and the topology-dependent attributes of the power grid, this study introduces temporal and spatial attention matrices. These matrices adaptively capture the spatio-temporal correlations within the attacks. Leveraging gated stacked causal convolution and graph wavelet sparse convolution, the study jointly extracts spatio-temporal DDIA features. This methodology significantly enhances the dynamic correlation mining capability while improving computational efficiency in the neighborhood. The recent Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) sets ambitious goals but no clear pathway for how zero loss of important biodiversity areas and halting human-induced extinction of threatened species will be achieved. We assembled a multi-taxa tracking dataset (11 million geopositions from 15,845 tracked individuals across 121 species) to provide a global assessment of space use of highly mobile marine megafauna, showing that 63% of the area that they cover is used 80% of the time as important migratory corridors or residence areas. The GBF 30% threshold (Target 3) will be insufficient for marine megafauna’s effective conservation, leaving important areas exposed to major anthropogenic threats. Coupling area protection with mitigation strategies (e.g., fishing regulation, wildlife-traffic separation) will be essential to reach international goals and conserve biodiversity.

There is a very large demand for basic telephone service in developing nations, and remote parts of industrialized nations, which cannot be met by conventional wireline and cellular systems. This is the world's largest unserved market. We describe a system which uses recent advances in active phased arrays, fast-packet switching technology, adaptive routeing, and light spacecraft technology, in part based on the work of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and on recently-declassified work done on the Strategic Defense Initiative, to make it possible to address this market with a global telephone network based on a large low-Earth-orbit constellation of identical satellites. A telephone utility can use such a network to provide the same modern basic and enhanced telephone services offered by telephone utilities in the urban centres of fully-industrialized nations. Economies of scale permit capital and operating costs per subscriber low enough to provide a service to all subscribers, regardless of location, at prices comparable to the same services in urban areas of industrialized nations, while generating operating profits great enough to attract the capital needed for its construction. The bandwidth needed to support the capacity needed to gain these economies of scale requires that the system use K(alpha)-band frequencies. This choice of frequencies places unusual constraints on the network design, and in particular forces the use of a large number of satellites. Global demand for basic and enhanced telephone service is great enough to support at least three networks of the size described herein. The volume of advanced components, and services such as launch services, required to construct and replace these networks is sufficient to propel certain industries to market leadership positions in the early 21st Century.

MacPherson Jr. is a graduate research associate in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Oregon Graduate Center (19600 NW Von Neumann Dr. Beaverton OR 97006-1999). He received his B.S. in biology from the College of William and Mary in 1980 and continued there to receive his M.S. in environmental chemistry in 1982. He then worked for a consulting firm on TSCA FIFRA and RCRA projects until 1984. His research interests include vapor phase transport in the unsaturated zone sampling and analytical method development and the role of biodegradation in contaminant fate. James F. Pankow is professor and chairman of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Oregon Graduate Center (19600 NW Von Neumann Dr. Beaverton OR 97006-1999). He received his B.A. in chemistry in 1973 from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his Ph.D. in environmental engineering science from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena California in 1979. His group is involved in the study of the physical and chemical processes affecting the behavior of organic compounds in the environment. This work includes the development and application of appropriate sampling and analysis techniques for the determination of trace organic compounds in ground water.

A discrete point sampler has been developed that overcomes disadvantages inherent in several current small-volume samplers. It is designed to obtain ground water samples after a well has been purged with a pump. It consists of a sample chamber, two ports, and a stopcock for withdrawing sample aliquots. After lowering the sampler into a well, sampling is initiated by pulling on a line that sequentially removes the plugs in the lower and the upper level ports. The sample chamber fills from the bottom port and vents air from the top port. The device is suitable for sampling for volatile organic compounds in ground waters that are not subject to spontaneous bubble degassing. The upper port is sufficiently far above the lower port that none of the water that is sampled is exposed to the vented air. The sample chamber fills in such a way that the water that is taken from the chamber for analysis is not exposed to the headspace in the chamber.
