This paper is aimed at modeling and attitude control of a dual-ducted-fan UAV under in-ground-effect(IGE). As the UAV flies and hovers over ground or above obstacles, the IGE can cause changes in thrust/torque that drastically affects flight behavior, especially during takeoff/landing. To address this problem, the paper derives a six degree-of-freedom model of the aircraft dynamics firstly. Then, key parameters and in-ground-effect features are obtained through measurements. In order to achieve stable attitude tracking control with in-ground-effect adapting, an incremental nonlinear dynamic inversion(INDI) based cascade controller is designed. Finally, the performance of the designed INDI controller is verified by stability proof, simulations and real flight experiments.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is expected to provide a new way for the efficient and low-cost control of oilwell downhole tools, and bring huge economic benefits. However, the RF (radio frequency) base station chips on the market could not withstand the high temperature of downhole. In this paper, discrete components are used to build RF front-end circuits to realize the drive and demodulation functions of RF base station chips. The circuit parameters are adjusted and optimized through circuit simulation. Then, the software and hardware design of the downhole reader are accomplished. Finally, experimental results show that the proposed downhole reader based on discrete components can successfully demodulate and read the tag data. © 2022 SPIE.

To characterize drill-string system's dynamic reaction, the axial-torsional coupled drill-string vibration model need to be studied. The drill-string takes little consideration for the drilling fluid factor, and drill-string vibration model for torque and drawworks pull inputs have limited relevance in geological drilling. So an axial-torsional coupled drill-string vibration model is established, with inputs of rope lowering and rotary table rotating speed, and the influence of the drilling fluid factor is taken into account. Firstly, we build a drill-string model with the winch rope speed and rotating speed inputs based on material mechanics theory. Then, the axial-torsional coupled bit-rock interaction model is established, taking the factor of drilling fluid into consideration, and the axial and torsional drill-string vibration is coupled through the bit-rock interaction model. Finally, the model's validity is proved by simulation of the drill-string system and the verification of field data. © 2022 ACA.

Speech emotion recognition (SER) is a key technology to achieve natural human-computer interaction. The development of SER is significantly influenced by the scale of the sample. In recent years, the study of SER has been intensified by introducing data augmentation methods. However, most of these methods directly augment the sample data scale, neglecting the rational analysis and utilization of the feature distribution of samples. In this paper, we propose a new framework for SER based on clustering assistance, which can utilize the feature distribution information of the sample data directly and effectively. It considers the sample proportion of each emotion category in the clusters obtained by clustering, converts it into a probability score, which is called the clustering emotion probability score, and fuses it with the emotion probability score from the simple classification model according to different fusion weighting factors. We evaluated the proposed method with the baseline model on the IEMOCAP dataset. Experimental results show that our method achieves better results than the baseline model in terms of both weighted and unweighted accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

In dynamic optimization problems where optimal solutions change over time, traditional ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithms face limitations. This study explores the adaptation of multi-colony ACO algorithms, known for their enhanced search capabilities in stationary problems, to tackle optimization problems in dynamic environments. Various strategies for exchanging information between colonies, which is a critical factor influencing algorithm performance, are investigated. Using the dynamic traveling salesman problem as a foundation, we generate test cases to reflect real-world complexities. Our results on a set of problem instances reveal that the choice of communication strategy between colonies significantly impacts the adaptability and efficiency of multi-colony ACO algorithms in tracking moving optimum.

Oscillation issues in the grid-connected wind farm system can severely deteriorate the power system security and lead to serious damage. Based on the impedance analysis method, many oscillation suppression methods have been proposed for reshaping the impedance characteristics of system to avoid the risk of oscillations. However, modifying converters' controllers to reshape the wind turbines (WTs) impedance and usage of additional damping devices for reshaping the grid impedance both are time-consuming and costly. Therefore, based on the sequence impedance model of the grid-connected wind farm system, this paper proposes a novel oscillation suppression method by optimizing the power control of wind farm. The system stability margin can be improved by modifying the number of online WTs and the output power of each WT to reshape the impedance of wind farm, under the precondition that the output power demand of wind farm is satisfied. Then, the intelligent particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to solve the optimization approach to obtain the number of online WTs with optimal stability margin. Finally, the simulation confirms the effectiveness of the proposed oscillation suppression method. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we study the group consensus problem of multi-agent systems with additive noises and multiplicative noises. The multi-agent systems are composed of two sub networks affected by additive noises and multiplicative noises, respectively. A consensus protocol is designed to guarantee the group consensus. Based on this protocol, the mean square weak consensus condition and mean square strong consensus condition are obtained by algebraic graph theory and stochastic stability theory. Finally, the numerical simulations show the effectiveness of the group consensus protocol in this paper. © 2022 IEEE.

The development of high-performance and miniaturized magnetometers is important for small-scale target magnetic anomaly detection. In this work, a miniaturized three-axis vector magnetometer based on the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) technique is investigated for magnetic anomaly detection. First, the miniaturized three-axis TMR vector magnetometer is constructed, and then, the limit of detection tests and the magnetic anomaly detection tests are performed. The indoor experimental results show that the proposed magnetometer can capture the magnetic anomalies higher than 3.9 nT, with the low-frequency equivalent magnetic noise of 46.89 pT/√Hz@1Hz. The outdoor experimental results show that the proposed magnetometer can effectively detect small-scale magnetic targets such as hammers at a distance of about 1.5 m. With the advantages of small size, low power consumption, and high magnetic measurement sensitivity, the TMR magnetometer has great application prospects for long-term magnetic anomaly monitoring, high-density magnetic imaging, and other fields. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. Effect of oxygen enrichment on sintering behavior of high proportion vanadium-titanium magnesite concentrates

To achieve high-efficiency utilization of complex and unmanageable iron-containing minerals,the effects of oxygen enrichment on productivity,yield,flame front speed,exhaust gas peak temperature,and desulphurization reaction of the vanadium-titanium magnetite sintering process as well as sinter tumble index and mineralogy were clarified,with oxygen enrichment concentrations ranging from 21 to 29 vol.%.Results indicated that with increasing the oxygen enrichment concentration from 21 to 27 vol.%,the flame front speed increased from 30.3 to 40.0 mm min^(-1),the yield enhanced from 72%to 77%,and the productivity augmented from 1.83 to 2.67t m^(-2)h^(-1);in the meantime,the tumble index was improved from 73.7%to 77.9%,and the exhaust gas peak temperature rose from 376.4 to 484.8℃.The main reason for the improvement in sintering properties was the increased combustibility of fuels and the generation of proper liquid phase that improved the permeability of the packed *** improved sinter strength is mainly due to the increase in the phase fraction of silico-ferrites of calcium and *** addition,oxygen enrichment sintering could significantly increase the desulphurization level of vanadium-titanium magnetite sinter and the rate of desulphurization reaction during sintering process.

Many megacities, such as London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, and Shanghai, have been born due to urban- ization. While citizens enjoy the convenience of city life, such cities suffer from drawbacks of transportation: the average commute time has been increasing over the past years. With the maturity of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft technology, decision-makers have started to look upward to the low-altitude airspace. This blue space has the potential to reshape the transportation system and shorten the average travel time in daily life. To explore this emerging area, we held a Distributed/Decentralized Hybrid Workshop on Sustain- ability for Transportation and Logistics (DHW-STL), and this letter summarizes the outcomes of our discussion. Here, we first pinpoint the pain issues of conventional transportation. Then, we present the emerging low-altitude airspace transportation option, followed by a discussion on how such a new transportation option can integrate with the conventional ground-based transportation system. Some thoughts about the pathway to further development of the integrated transportation system are shared finally.
