In this work, we study a novel approach towards the reference-tracking feedforward control design for linear dynamical systems. By utilizing the superposition property and exploiting signal decomposition together with a quadratic optimization process, we obtain a feedforward design procedure for arbitrary linear multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) systems with arbitrary time/parameter-varying characteristics. In other words, the proposed algorithm is applicable to the broad class of linear systems, i.e. linear-time-invariant (LTI), linear-time-varying (LTV) and linear-parameter-varying (LPV) systems. The interplay between the initial state, feedforward and feedback actions are elaborated in detail. The potential of the presented methodology is demonstrated through simulation examples.

With the rapid development of clean energy and serious delay of grid construction, water abandonment is becoming more and more severe. Under this condition, this paper proposed a multi-objective model with probability constraints of trans-provincial hydropower consumption considering dynamic stability limit. Firstly, a mathematical expression about the dynamic stability limit of trans-provincial channel is constructed. Secondly, a risk assessment index of abandoned water is established on the basis of semi-absolute deviation. Then, based on the framework of stochastic programming, a multi-objective model with probability constraints is proposed for hydropower transmission in trans-provincial trade. By means of genetic algorithm with embedded Monte-Carlo simulation technology, the model can be solved efficiently. Finally, data of Tibet power grid is calculated to verify the validity and universality of the research. The results show that the established model can achieve optimal economic benefit between grid companies and generation enterprises, and also effective management of water abandonment risk.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of mortality worldwide. We conducted a genome-wide association study meta-analysis of 100,204 CRC cases and 154,587 controls of European and east Asian ancestry, identifying 205 independent risk associations, of which 50 were unreported. We performed integrative genomic, transcriptomic and methylomic analyses across large bowel mucosa and other tissues. Transcriptome- and methylome-wide association studies revealed an additional 53 risk associations. We identified 155 high-confidence effector genes functionally linked to CRC risk, many of which had no previously established role in CRC. These have multiple different functions and specifically indicate that variation in normal colorectal homeostasis, proliferation, cell adhesion, migration, immunity and microbial interactions determines CRC risk. Crosstissue analyses indicated that over a third of effector genes most probably act outside the colonic mucosa. Our findings provide insights into colorectal oncogenesis and highlight potential targets across tissues for new CRC treatment and chemoprevention strategies.

Background Diarrhoeal diseases claim more than 1 million lives annually and are a leading cause of death in children younger than 5 years. Comprehensive global estimates of the diarrhoeal disease burden for specific age groups of children younger than 5 years are scarce, and the burden in children older than 5 years and in adults is also understudied. We used results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to assess the burden of, and trends in, diarrhoeal diseases overall and attributable to 13 pathogens, as well as the contributions of associated risk factors, in children and adults in 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021. Methods We used the Cause of Death Ensemble modelling strategy to analyse vital registration data, verbal autopsy data, mortality surveillance data, and minimally invasive tissue sampling data. We used DisMod-MR (version 2.1), a Bayesian meta-regression tool, to analyse incidence and prevalence data identified via systematic reviews, population-based surveys, and claims and inpatient data. We calculated diarrhoeal disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) as the sum of years of life lost (YLLs) and years lived with disability (YLDs) for each location, year, and age-sex group. For aetiology estimation, we used a counterfactual approach to quantify population-attributable fractions (PAFs). Additionally, we estimated the diarrhoeal disease burden attributable to the independent effects of risk factors using the comparative risk assessment framework. Findings In 2021, diarrhoeal diseases caused an estimated 1.17 million (95% uncertainty interval 0.793-1.62) deaths globally, representing a 60.3% (50.6-69.0) decrease since 1990 (2.93 million [2.31-3.73] deaths). The most pronounced decline was in children younger than 5 years, with a 79.2% (72.4-84.6) decrease in diarrhoeal deaths. We propose a model-based event-triggered control scheme where state measurements are transmitted to the controller only if the deviation between the real system state and the state of a nominal closed-loop model crosses a certain threshold. In contrast to earlier results, the size of the thresholds is dynamically adapted to the unknown magnitude of the disturbances acting on the system. The closed-loop system is shown to be input-to-state stable. For a particular choice of the parameters, the guaranteed asymptotic bound on the system state is the same as for a periodically triggered scheme while still allowing a reduction in communication. © 2016 EUCA.

Aiming at the reliability of electrical connectors under the low temperature operating condition, the numerical analysis on stress field was studied. For a circular three pin electrical connector, combining with the finite element analysis method, the finite element analysis model of the contact was established and analyzed by static structure. The stress field of the contact under different low temperature conditions was analyzed by using the thermal-electric-structure coupling field. Simulation test results show that, the static structural analysis of the model can effectively simulate the real contact state of the pins and jacks, the error between the simulation results and the theoretical values of the contact force is within the allowable range. Under the different low temperature operating condition, the distribution law of the stress field of electrical connectors is basically the same. With the increase of the ambient temperature form -65°C to 5°C, the maximum stress value of the contacts changes little, and the total deformation of the contacts increases slightly, and the contact force decreases slightly.

In this paper, we propose dissipative reset adaptive observer design for a class of singular systems. A functional observer method is employed to overcome the complexity of the singular system and to design a reset adaptive observer. Further, the dissipative approach is exploited to guarantee the convergence of output in the existence of disturbances. Also, a novel regional reset condition in integral term is devised to avoid Zeno solutions. As the results, stability and convergence analysis are presented in forms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and then simulation results are shown to prove the effectiveness of our method.

With the development of the smart grid technology and the advent of the big data, it is highly desired to develop efficient computational methods for mining the values behind of huge volumes of data on the grid. However non-unified naming of the electronic devices from the de-centralized and heterogeneous power systems makes the procedure a hard problem. In the present work, we proposed a Ternary Search Trie based algorithm for recognizing the devices from the huge volumes of transaction data in the power grid. On the base of well-defined professional vocabulary of electronic devices, the algorithm scans and segments records having names of devices using the Ternary Search Trie method. An integrative scoring schema combing semantic and word order similarity is designed to evaluate the segments against the target device names. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method achieves only 3.13% error in parsing stage, and higher recognition rate. Moreover, the algorithm lists top-n matches for professional judgments to make the work more useful and rigorous.

As advances in networking technology help to connect industrial control networks with the Internet, the threat from spammers, attackers and criminal enterprises has also grown accordingly. However, traditional Network Intrusion Detection system makes significant use of pattern matching to identify malicious behaviors and have bad performance on detecting zero-day exploits in which a new attack is employed. In this paper, a novel method of anomaly detection in industrial control network is proposed based on RNN-GBRBM feature decoder. The method employ network packets and extract high-quality features from raw features which is selected manually. A modified RNN-RBM is trained using the normal traffic in order to learn feature patterns of the normal network behaviors. Then the test traffic is analyzed against the learned normal feature pattern by using osPCA to measure the extent to which the test traffic resembles the learned feature pattern. Moreover, we design a semi-supervised incremental updating algorithm in order to improve the performance of the model continuously. Experiments show that our method is more efficient in anomaly detection than other traditional approaches for industrial control network. For the uncertain problems in the comprehensive evaluation of supervision risk in electricity transaction, this paper uses the unidentified rational numbers to evaluation the supervision risk, to obtain the possible result and corresponding credibility of evaluation and realize the quantification of risk indexes. The model can draw the risk degree of various indexes, which makes it easier for the electricity transaction supervisors to identify the transaction risk and determine the risk level, assisting the decision-making and realizing the effective supervision of the risk. The results of the case analysis verify the effectiveness of the model.
