SOME/IP is a communication protocol introduced in automotive industry to enable Service Oriented Architecture which is not possible using traditional automotive protocols such as CAN or FlexRay. A trend emerging in the last years in the Advanced Driver Assistance systems (ADAS) is that SOME/IP became one of main communication protocols used for communication between safety and performance ECU devices. Currently in the market, including the open-source solutions, there is a set of different SOME/IP implementations that have different audience and combination of characteristics like high royalty costs, available feature set and software solution maturity. This paper presents the Bitroute SOME/IP, a new implementation of the SOME/IP communication protocol with focus on performance and deployment platform independency and compares it with the open-source solution from The Connected Vehicle systems Alliance (COVESA). © 2022 Croatian Society MIPRO.

This study focuses on the exploration of five novel π-conjugated organic compounds for potential incorporation into organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The molecular structure of these compounds follows a D-Di-D setup, with a carbazole acting as the D component, and the specific Di component varying based on the donor utilized. Through analysis at the DFT/B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) level, including the determination of HOMO–LUMO energy values, after optimizing the molecules' ground state, the frontier molecular orbital (FMO) was studied using Egap band gap. Utilizing the TD-DFT and ZINDO method the optical properties like absorption (λmax) and emission (λem) were explored. Based on SILVACO-TCAD software, the estimated current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the two most efficient molecules were obtained. The indices of the studied molecules calculated from these interactions indicates that the molecules have sufficient properties which allow these molecules to be considered promising candidates for use in OLED devices as high-performing active materials.

Every new generation of modern vehicles aims to provide the customers with a higher level of comfort and entertainment services. Consequently, the burden is placed upon the manufacturers to incorporate ever more complex electronic systems in their products and introduce service-based technologies. To meet these demands, service-oriented architecture (SOA) has become an integral part of the Adaptive AUTOSAR as the industry standard. Also, mobile services and applications are natively supported in the new in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI) which usually run on the Android operating system. As these fundamentally different technologies are incorporated in the vehicles, the developers are facing the challenge of connecting them and exchanging information between the services running in different domains. Service-oriented architectures usually rely on a model-driven engineering approach to facilitate the development of the applications. However, as the complexity of the system grows, the mapping of various metamodels becomes a challenge, as no single standard is used across all domains in the vehicle. This paper provides a possible solution for mapping the already existing AUTOSAR metamodel to an Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL) metamodel. By applying the proposed mapping, it is possible to build applications that require the cooperation of various domains within the vehicle. © 2022 Croatian Society MIPRO.

This study investigates the controller types and effects of the design techniques on gimbal stabilization. Since implementing the controllers and determining the system's robustness is straightforward, the frequency domain design approaches are widely used with linear controllers in electro-optical inertial stabilized systems. Besides, the required system models can be obtained from experimental data easily. Nevertheless, the system model could change in the operational conditions. Therefore, nonlinear controllers are needed in this situation. In this investigation, we obtained a proper system model using system identification methods to design a mixed-sensitivity H∞ controller. Then, we proposed an input-output feedback linearization controller with a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) based state feedback controller design to stabilize the 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) gimbal. Finally, we compared these two controllers regarding reference tracking, sensitivity function, and disturbance rejection performances on the experimental setup under 6 DOF disturbance profiles. © 2023 IEEE.

To suppress interference in the communication lines of measuring and medical system sensors most modern rejection filters (RF) use active adders based on the operational amplifiers (OA). This imposes restrictions on the applied element base and RF frequency range. The analysis of the existing rejection ARC filters of the Sallen-Key family revealed the disadvantages of filters implemented only on non-inverting voltage repeaters. The article suggests new architectures of the active RC and RLC filters of the Sallen-Key class based on the voltage followers, which have the property to adjust independently the main parameters by different resistors. The mathematical analysis of the transfer functions of the RF given in this article shows several ways to independently adjust the bandwidth of the barrier of the rejection ARC filter. The results of computer modeling of RF circuits and their some modifications are presented. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a partially double pass configuration in serial hybrid fiber amplifier is experimentally demonstrated. In the proposed design, a double pass erbium gain and single pass Raman gain are achieved serially. A total pump power of 450 mW (400 mW for 1495 nm Raman amplifier and 50 mW for1480 nm in erbium amplifier) were used. At -30 dBm input signal power and optimum pumps conditions, the achieved flatness bandwidth is 80 nm (1530-1610 nm) in the conventional and long bands (C+L) bands. In addition, the obtained average gain level is 33 dB. While the obtained flatness gain is 85 nm (1525-1610 nm) within the large input signal power region at -5 dBm. By choosing a proper pump wavelength that avoid the overlapping between Raman and erbium peaks gain, a wide flatness gain is obtained. © 2023 IEEE.

Metaheuristic optimization algorithms present an effective method for solving several optimization problems from various types of applications and *** metaheuristics and evolutionary optimization algorithms have been emerged recently in the literature and gained widespread attention,such as particle swarm optimization(PSO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),grey wolf optimization algorithm(GWO),genetic algorithm(GA),and gravitational search algorithm(GSA).According to the literature,no one metaheuristic optimization algorithm can handle all present optimization *** novel optimization methodologies are still *** Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)search optimization algorithm is proposed in this *** proposed algorithm was motivated by the behavior of swarm members in achieving their global *** search space around local solutions to be explored is determined by Al-Biruni earth radius calculation method.A comparative analysis with existing state-of-the-art optimization algorithms corroborated the findings of BER’s validation and testing against seven mathematical optimization *** results show that BER can both explore and avoid local *** has also been tested on an engineering design optimization *** results reveal that,in terms of performance and capability,BER outperforms the performance of state-of-the-art metaheuristic optimization algorithms.

Brain networks typically exhibit characteristic synchronization patterns where several synchronized clusters coexist. On the other hand, neurological disorders are considered to be related to pathological synchronization such as excessive synchronization of large populations of neurons. Motivated by these phenomena, this paper presents two approaches to control the cluster synchronization of Kuramoto oscillators. One is based on the use of pacemakers to the clusters, and the other is based on feeding back the mean phases to the clusters. We first show conditions on the pacemaker weights and the feedback gains for the network to achieve cluster synchronization. Then, we propose a method to find optimal feedback gains through convex optimization. A numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed methods. © 2024 IEEE.

The Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a wireless communication technology that is light-based and can complete wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) technologies for many applications. Li-Fi technology which uses light spectrum is a technology for solving the lack of radio spectrum at Wi-Fi. One of the main benefits of Li-Fi technology is the ability to communicate by light with a high level of safety. However, the signal of Li-Fi technology is the same as other signals that are susceptible to eavesdropping because no security system is infallible. The objective of this paper is to decrease the computational cost of encryption and decryption and keep the security of transformed data when transmitted via Li-Fi technology. This study proposes the advanced Rivest Cipher 4 (ARC4) algorithm that will be used in the physical layer of Li-Fi applications. The novelty will be in the pseudo-random generation algorithm (PRGA) which is part of Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4). The data will become an index of the s-array and get the value of that index in the s-array instead of using the XOR operation. The proposed ARC4 was evaluated by the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) test. The obtained results illustrate that ARC4 is more robust and effective than RC4 when the data is transformed by Li-Fi communication.
