LiDAR-camera extrinsic calibration (LCEC) is the core for data fusion in computer vision. Existing methods typically rely on customized calibration targets or fixed scene types, lacking the flexibility to handle variations in sensor data and environmental contexts. This paper introduces EdO-LCEC, the first environment-driven, online calibration approach that achieves human-like adaptability. Inspired by the human perceptual system, EdO-LCEC incorporates a generalizable scene discriminator to actively interpret environmental conditions, creating multiple virtual cameras that capture detailed spatial and textural information. To overcome cross-modal feature matching challenges between LiDAR and camera, we propose dual-path correspondence matching (DPCM), which leverages both structural and textural consistency to achieve reliable 3D-2D correspondences. Our approach formulates the calibration process as a spatial-temporal joint optimization problem, utilizing global constraints from multiple views and scenes to improve accuracy, particularly in sparse or partially overlapping sensor views. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that EdO-LCEC achieves state-of-the-art performance, providing reliable and precise calibration across diverse, challenging environments. controlling patients with Alzheimer's disease is very challenging. This paper presents a novel approach for enhancing the efficiency of wireless power transfer systems in smart devices used for managing patients with Alzheimer's disease. The pro-posed system contains a conical coil as a transmitter instead of the conventional circular coil shape to maximize coupling and ensure reliable power transfer. Through this paper, we have modeled a conical coil for the proposed system to reach its maximum coil quality factor. For certain frequencies, the proper inductance and resistance of the primary coil value are deduced by a mathematical expression from its length expression. This method has the potential to significantly enhance the effectiveness of technological solutions aimed at assisting individuals affected by this disease. This paper demonstrates that the quality factor of the system using a conical coil as a transmitter can be maximized, resulting in improved performance compared to traditional circular coil shapes. The findings suggest that this innovative coil design has promising implications for advancing WPT systems in healthcare applications for Alzheimer's patients. © 2024 IEEE.

With the continuous growth in demand for meat and frozen products in the cold chain market, illegally smuggled frozen goods have quickly entered the market due to their low prices, leading to a series of food safety issues. This article proposes a method for identifying the risks of smuggled frozen meat for urban public safety awareness using the YOLOv7 model. The YOLOv7 model is used to detect data captured at various traffic checkpoints, obtaining spatiotemporal information of frozen goods vehicles. This information is then combined with map data to generate vehicle trajectory information. The trajectory similarity between the frozen vehicle trajectories and the specialized database of frozen transportation routes is analyzed using the EDwP distance algorithm. The EDwP algorithm employs a threshold-free approach, dynamically interpolating using the concept of projection, and automatically adapting to non-uniform sampling rates to address the issue of inconsistent trajectory data sampling rates. The experimental results of the YOLOv7-EDwP algorithm were verified by verifying the alerts generated in the recent period through on-site verification by a third-party inspection agency, with a recognition accuracy of 90.77%. This holds significant significance in the detection and warning of smuggled frozen meat. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the prediction of truck travel time in open pit mines, we established a prediction model based on long short-term memory(LSTM). This model fully accounts for 11 factors, including the nature of trucks, weather, road conditions, and driver's behaviors, as well as the influence of neighbor road segments in the route on the current predicted road segment. The experiment shows that the error of the LSTM prediction model is significantly reduced compared with SVR and BP models. In addition, the maximum absolute mean error under different conditions is less than 12 seconds. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

We develop a first-order accelerated algorithm for a class of constrained bilinear saddle-point problems with applications to network systems. The algorithm is a modified time-varying primal-dual version of an accelerated mirror-descent dynamics. It deals with constraints such as simplices and convex set constraints effectively, and converges with a rate of O(1/t2). Furthermore, we employ the acceleration scheme to constrained distributed optimization and bilinear zero-sum games, and obtain two variants of distributed accelerated algorithms. Organisms have evolved innate and acquired immune systems to defend against pathogens like coronaviruses. Similarly, power networks, threatened by cyber-attacks, desire cyber-immunity. Inspired by the immunology research, this study develops a cyber-immune strategy-characterizing innate cyber-immunity and establishing acquired cyber-immunity-for any selected portion of a power network (termed as power subnetwork) against stealthy false data injection (FDI) cyberattacks. Therein, without extrinsic protection and information asymmetry, this paper for the first time confirms the existence and provides closed-form conditions for power subnetworks that are innately immune to FDI cyber-attacks despite all measurements being compromised. Single-leader-multi-follower bi-level optimization models are then developed to strategically allocate measurement protection, leading to the acquired cyber-immunity, whose conditions for existence and the least cost are explicitly formulated. More importantly, a bi-directional cyber-immunity propagation mechanism is presented to provide the optimal spatial allocation of defense resources across adjacent subnetworks. It also explicitly determines the temporal allocation sequence, revealing its sequential and cumulative impacts on establishing cyber-immunity. This is achieved by designing recursive traversal algorithms, one of which is modelled as a post-order depth-first-search problem of a multi-fork tree. The proposed subnetwork-specific cyber-immune strategy is verified in a modified Australian National Electricity Market. © 1969-2012 IEEE.

microRNAs play an important role in post-transcriptional gene regulation. Recently, viral microRNAs have been discovered in several viruses, including Hepatitis B virus. This brief work explores bioinformatics tools for viral/host miRNA research and provides insights into the roles of miRNAs in HBV infection, offering an overview of this field, in order to facilitate the selection of the most suitable bioinformatics tools according to individual needs and research goals.
