Provable data possession (PDP) is a crucial means of protecting the integrity of data in the domain of cloud storage. In the post-quantum era, the PDP scheme that uses lattices relies too heavily on the third-party auditor (TPA), which is not entirely trustworthy and is easily affected by a single point of failure. Moreover, the scheme often leads to the leakage of private user data while attempting to satisfy the demand for public verification. In response to the above problems, this paper designs a protocol for post-quantum privacy-preserving PDP and uses it to develop a scheme based on smart contracts. The proposed scheme has the characteristics of being post quantum and can satisfy the demand for public verification while preserving user privacy. The property of noninteraction of the protocol can reduce transaction fees incurred owing to the frequent operation of the blockchain, and the smart contract with a deposit mechanism can ensure fair payments to all parties. Engineering AI systems that aid emergencypersonnel proves to be a difficult system engineering problem. Mission-critical"edge AI" situations require low-latency, reliable analytics. With the development of information technology, the scale of the network continues to expand, and the security issues continue to increase. The complexity of the network security situation is increasing and the importance of the network security situational awareness continues to increase. The data sources are wide, the type and the number are large in a large-scale network environment currently. This paper comprehensively studies the network security situational awareness technology based on multi-source heterogeneous data. In addition, this paper introduces the origin, concept and the model of the network situational awareness, as well as the characteristics of network security situational awareness based on multi-source heterogeneous data fusion. Finally, the key technologies in the security situational awareness such as the extraction of situational elements, multi-source data fusion, situation assessment, situation prediction and visual display are introduced. © 2020 ACM.

In recent years, scholars have conducted in-depth researches on the robustness, structural vulnerability, and detection and identification of devices in cyberspace from different perspectives such as complex networks and cyberspace resource mapping. Aiming at the problem of identifying important nodes on a large-scale Internet, a CETCRank algorithm for identifying important Internet nodes based on unsupervised learning is proposed. When the algorithm analyzes the attributes of each cyberspace equipment, it not only considers the graph structure characteristics based on the network topology, but also integrates the threat metric of cyberspace equipment. Based on the hypothesis of the cyber attack model, the effective identification of important nodes in the Internet can be realized by integrating the node attributes into the constructed Markov chain model. Experiments show that the time and space complexity of the CETCRank algorithm is suitable for analyzing large-scale Internet, and the recognition performance of important nodes is better than the PageRank algorithm.

With the increasing types and functions of smart home devices, due to the lack of experience of users, they may cause unexpected errors and risks when configuring a large number of device linkage *** response to the above problems, in this paper, we propose an efficient conflict detection method to avoid unexpected ***, to reduce the complexity of subsequent rule conflict detection, we divide each rule into five categories according to its functions and characteristics. At the same time, we configure the priority, user rights, and execution area for each rule. Second, we filter out the rules of the same priority, user rights, and execution area. Third, we define five types of rule conflicts. Finally, the conflict detection algorithm is used to determine whether the filtered rules conflict with the rules in the corresponding database. We have created 379 non-conflicting rules in each type of rule storage database to detect whether the newly created rules conflict with them. Through experimental comparison, we find that our approach has more advantages than previous work in terms of performance and conflict detection types.

Background Diarrhoeal diseases claim more than 1 million lives annually and are a leading cause of death in children younger than 5 years. Comprehensive global estimates of the diarrhoeal disease burden for specific age groups of children younger than 5 years are scarce, and the burden in children older than 5 years and in adults is also understudied. We used results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to assess the burden of, and trends in, diarrhoeal diseases overall and attributable to 13 pathogens, as well as the contributions of associated risk factors, in children and adults in 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021. Methods We used the Cause of Death Ensemble modelling strategy to analyse vital registration data, verbal autopsy data, mortality surveillance data, and minimally invasive tissue sampling data. We used DisMod-MR (version 2.1), a Bayesian meta-regression tool, to analyse incidence and prevalence data identified via systematic reviews, population-based surveys, and claims and inpatient data. We calculated diarrhoeal disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) as the sum of years of life lost (YLLs) and years lived with disability (YLDs) for each location, year, and age-sex group. For aetiology estimation, we used a counterfactual approach to quantify population-attributable fractions (PAFs). Additionally, we estimated the diarrhoeal disease burden attributable to the independent effects of risk factors using the comparative risk assessment framework. Findings In 2021, diarrhoeal diseases caused an estimated 1.17 million (95% uncertainty interval 0.793-1.62) deaths globally, representing a 60.3% (50.6-69.0) decrease since 1990 (2.93 million [2.31-3.73] deaths). The most pronounced decline was in children younger than 5 years, with a 79.2% (72.4-84.6) decrease in diarrhoeal deaths. The consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) is associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). However, an updated and comprehensive assessment of the global burden attributable to SSBs remains scarce. Here we estimated SSB-attributable T2D and CVD burdens across 184 countries in 1990 and 2020 globally, regionally and nationally, incorporating data from the Global Dietary Database, jointly stratified by age, sex, educational attainment and urbanicity. In 2020, 2.2 million (95% uncertainty interval 2.0–2.3) new T2D cases and 1.2 million (95% uncertainty interval 1.1–1.3) new CVD cases were attributable to SSBs worldwide, representing 9.8% and 3.1%, respectively, of all incident cases. Globally, proportional SSB-attributable burdens were higher among men versus women, younger versus older adults, higher- versus lower-educated adults, and adults in urban versus rural areas. By world region, the highest SSB-attributable percentage burdens were in Latin America and the Caribbean (T2D: 24.4%; CVD: 11.3%) and sub-Saharan Africa (T2D: 21.5%; CVD: 10.5%). From 1990 to 2020, the largest proportional increases in SSB-attributable incident T2D and CVD cases were in sub-Saharan Africa (+8.8% and +4.4%, respectively). Our study highlights the countries and subpopulations most affected by cardiometabolic disease associated with SSB consumption, assisting in shaping effective policies and interventions to reduce these burdens globally.

Background: Decades of steady improvements in life expectancy in Europe slowed down from around 2011, well before the COVID-19 pandemic, for reasons which remain disputed. We aimed to assess how changes in risk factors and cause-specific death rates in different European countries related to changes in life expectancy in those countries before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: We used data and methods from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to compare changes in life expectancy at birth, causes of death, and population exposure to risk factors in 16 European Economic Area countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden) and the four UK nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) for three time periods: 1990–2011, 2011–19, and 2019–21. Changes in life expectancy and causes of death were estimated with an established life expectancy cause-specific decomposition method, and compared with summary exposure values of risk factors for the major causes of death influencing life expectancy. Findings: All countries showed mean annual improvements in life expectancy in both 1990–2011 (overall mean 0·23 years [95% uncertainty interval [UI] 0·23 to 0·24]) and 2011–19 (overall mean 0·15 years [0·13 to 0·16]). The rate of improvement was lower in 2011–19 than in 1990–2011 in all countries except for Norway, where the mean annual increase in life expectancy rose from 0·21 years (95% UI 0·20 to 0·22) in 1990–2011 to 0·23 years (0·21 to 0·26) in 2011–19 (difference of 0·03 years). In other countries, the difference in mean annual improvement between these periods ranged from –0·01 years in Iceland (0·19 years [95% UI 0·16 to 0·21] vs 0·18 years [0·09 to 0·26]), to –0·18 years in England (0·25 years [0·24 to 0·25] vs 0·07 years [0·06 to 0·08]). Background: The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted gaps in health surveillance systems, disease prevention, and treatment globally. Among the many factors that might have led to these gaps is the issue of the financing of national health systems, especially in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as a robust global system for pandemic preparedness. We aimed to provide a comparative assessment of global health spending at the onset of the pandemic;characterise the amount of development assistance for pandemic preparedness and response disbursed in the first 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic;and examine expectations for future health spending and put into context the expected need for investment in pandemic preparedness. Methods: In this analysis of global health spending between 1990 and 2021, and prediction from 2021 to 2026, we estimated four sources of health spending: development assistance for health (DAH), government spending, out-of-pocket spending, and prepaid private spending across 204 countries and territories. We used the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)'s Creditor Reporting System (CRS) and the WHO Global Health Expenditure Database (GHED) to estimate spending. We estimated development assistance for general health, COVID-19 response, and pandemic preparedness and response using a keyword search. Health spending estimates were combined with estimates of resources needed for pandemic prevention and preparedness to analyse future health spending patterns, relative to need. Findings: In 2019, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, US$9·2 trillion (95% uncertainty interval [UI] 9·1–9·3) was spent on health worldwide. We found great disparities in the amount of resources devoted to health, with high-income countries spending $7·3 trillion (95% UI 7·2–7·4) in 2019;293·7 times the $24·8 billion (95% UI 24·3–25·3) spent by low-income countries in 2019.
