The air supply system of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) has complex characteristics such as multiple inputs and multiple outputs, strong nonlinear coupling, and internal and external disturbances. controlling the airflow and cathode pressure in coordination is a great challenge. To deal with this challenge, this paper designs a novel strategy based on high-order fully actuated(HOFA) systems theory. First, the fourth-order underactuated system of PEMFC is transformed into an HOFA system, and an extended state observer is designed to estimate unmodeled dynamics and unknown disturbances and then, based on the characteristics of the HOFA system, a parametric control law is designed to control the airflow and cathode pressure in coordination. Finally, the effectiveness of the HOFA system is validated on a PEMFC air supply system test bench,and the results suggest that our designed strategy can realize accurate and coordinated control of the airflow and cathode pressure,outperforming some existing advanced methods.

Solutions to optimal control problems are usually understood to provide optimal trajectories. In this paper, we show that the optimal state-space system dynamics induce a dynamics of the active sets. More specifically, given the optimal active set at the solution obtained at the current time, its successor optimal active set (which, in turn, defines the successor solution) can be found with index set operations. These operations do not involve any optimal control (or other optimization or integration) problem, but they can be described with simple rules. These rules constitute the symbolic dynamics for active sets. The present paper treats a particular constrained nonlinear problem class, extending earlier results for the constrained linear-quadratic case.

Deep learning for point clouds faces the challenge of their inherent unordered nature, which makes traditional CNN-like methods not directly applicable. However, due to the inherent permutation invariance, transformers provide solutions to unordered points problems faced in LiDAR-based object detection. In this paper, a two-stage LiDAR 3D object detection framework is presented, namely Point-Voxel Dual Transformer (PV-DT3D), which is a transformer-based method. In the proposed PV-DT3D, point-voxel fusion features are used for proposal refinement. Specifically, in the PV-DT3D, keypoints are sampled from entire point cloud scene and used to encode representative scene features via a proposal-aware voxel set abstraction module. Subsequently, following the generation of proposals by the region proposal networks (RPN), the internal encoded keypoints are fed into dual transformer encoder-decoder architecture. In 3D object detection, the proposed PV-DT3D is the first to take advantage of both pointwise transformer and channel-wise architecture to capture contextual information from the perspective of spatial and channel dimensions. Experiments conducted on the highly competitive KITTI 3D car detection leaderboard show that, the PV-DT3D achieves superior detection accuracy among state-of-the-art point-voxel-based methods.

This work considers the synthesis of state feedback controllers established as deep artificial feed-forward neural networks for the control of discrete-time nonlinear but input-affine systems. The idea is to design output layers of particular structure to guarantee the satisfaction of state constraints in form of control-invariant ellipsoids. Since an analytical expression can be derived for the resulting neural network controller, the latter can be stored and evaluated efficiently. Moreover, the proposed output layer guarantees the satisfaction of the considered state constraints for each specification of the parameter vector. Numerical examples are provided for illustration and evaluation of the approach, in which the approximation of a nonlinear model predictive control law is considered as application.
