In wireless sensor networks,this paper puts forward a distributed fault detection algorithm to solve the node failure *** takes into account the spatial correlation of network node,based on the way of weighted distance,compares its own reading with the weighted value to judge the fault ***,the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated via computer *** simulation results show that the correct rate of fault detection is improved,and the false alarm rate of fault detection is reduced.

This contribution presents a new methodology for the online identification, which allows the modeling of the stationary and dynamic behavior of nonlinear combustion engines with many input and output variables in short time with an appropriate model structure. The used models are local polynomial model trees. The necessary enhancements and adaptations of the identification algorithm for local polynomial model trees for the online methodology are presented. To enable an online identification, not only the parameters but also the structure of the models has to be adapted to the ongoing measuring procedure at a test bench. This structure adaptation methods use iteratively recorded measured data for the determination of an optimized model partition and regressor selection regarding the quality and complexity of the model. This maximizes the iterative improvement of the mathematical model, leading to a reduced test bench time. The applicability of the developed methodology is shown for the identification of a model from both, an artificial test function as well as a real diesel engine. © IFAC.

On Dwell Time Minimization for Switched Delay Systems: Time-Scheduled Lyapunov Functions

In the present paper, dwell time stability conditions of the switched delay systems are derived using scheduled Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions. The derivative of the Lyapunov functions are guaranteed to be negative semidefinite using free weighting matrices method. After representing the dwell time in terms of linear matrix inequalities, the upper bound of the dwell time is minimized using a bisection algorithm. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate effectiveness of the proposed method, and its performance is compared with the existing approaches. The yielding values of dwell time via the proposed technique show that the novel approach outperforms the previous ones. © 2016

This paper investigates the H 2 /H ∞ control problem for a class of discrete-time networked control systems with random communication time delays. Both sensor-to-controller (S-C) and controller-to-actuator (C-A) random network-induced delays are considered. Two independent Markov chains are used to model the S-C and C-A random delays. The resulting closed-loop system is a jump linear time-delay system induced by two Markov chains. Sufficient conditions for existence of H 2 /H ∞ controller are established by free-weighting matrix and stochastic Lyapunov functions. A simulation example illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Machine learning algorithms are commonly used to automate stock market trading. Crypto-currencies are novel digital assets that attracted investors all over the world. In this paper, we developed a neural network estimator to generate trading signals. Unlike previous methods, our method uses more volatile and uses historical data divided five minutes intervals. First, our method uses technical indicators and optimizes their time periods then we developed artificial neural network (ANN) architectures to predict asset future directions. Classification and regression networks are developed and their results are compared. Our results are promising but need improvements in order to make more profitable trading. © 2018 IEEE.

In the study, a low-cost acoustic system which classifies different roads using acoustic signal processing tool is proposed (group1 road types: asphalt, gravel, stony and snowy road;group2 road types: asphalt data with car pass noise, asphalt data with rain noise, asphalt data with tire squeal noise). Thus it is aimed to estimate road/tire friction forces using slip ratio/friction curve in the active safety systems of the automobiles. Because friction forces cannot be measured directly and it can be only observed or estimated. In the study, acoustic data features which are linear predictive coding (LPC), power spectrum coefficients (PSC) and mel-frequency cepstrum coefficients (MFCC) are used for the acoustic signal processing methods with minimum variance and maximum distance principle. The features are extracted using time windows 0.1 second as the best representative window of signal properties. The classification process is also executed by support vector machine (SVM), artificial neural network (ANN), K-nearest neighbors (KNN) algorithms and compared to different road types. The most important difference of this study from our previous studies is that it compares performances of these three classification methods for different feature vectors obtained from different road conditions and indicates that the KNN is better method than SVM and ANN methods for the acoustic road type classification. According to the results, the KNN method classifies group1 road data with %90 accuracy rate and group2 road data with % 100 accuracy rate. © 2019 IEEE.

Effect of stagger angle on capillary performance of microgroove structures with reentrant cavities

Aluminum-based microgroove surfaces with reentrant cavities (MSRCs) were fabricated by two staggered ploughing/extrusion processes to meet the requirements of lightweight phase change heat transfer *** MSRCs with different stagger angles between cavities and microgrooves (MGs) were fabricated to study the effect of stagger angle on capillary *** rise and permeability tests were performed on all MSRCs and the results were compared with MGs having the same processing *** was found that MSRCs with smaller stagger angles have higher capillary height,and the maximum enhancement maintained by MSRC45 was about 54.84%.However,MSRCs with larger stagger angles were found to have higher ***,the capillary parameter K·ΔP_(cap)was used as a comprehensive index to evaluate these ***90 and MSRC75 obtained the largest K·ΔP_(cap)values without and with the effect of gravity considered,*** all MSRCs had a higher capillary rise height than MGs,smaller stagger angles (≤60°) seriously reduced the permeability of MSRCs and even resulted in smaller K·ΔP_(cap)value than that of MGs when calculated considering the effect of ***,MSRCs with larger stagger angles (≥75°) may be the optimum wicks due to the good balance between capillary pressure and permeability.

Aiming at the stabilization problem of mobile robot system in a complex environment, the 2D trifocal tensor visual system is used for the real-time estimation of robot position, which can enhance the robustness of robot visual servo system. On this basis, an adaptive control method is used to realize the motion control of mobile robot. The design of the sliding mode speed tracking controller makes the actual speed of mobile robot tend to the expected speed of the adaptive controller, to avoid the shake problem when the speed of mobile robot changes.
