With the global climate change, the frequency of extreme weather is getting higher and higher, and the threat to the safe operation of the power system is gradually increasing, which is likely to cause large-scale power outages then result in N-k contingencies. Meanwhile, Modular Multi-level Converter (MMC) based Multi Terminal High Voltage Direct Current (MTDC) has been confirmed that can provide the possibility for the network interconnection between regional power systems and various renewable energy resources to boost supply reliability and economy. To enhance the transient stability of the power grid, a generation rescheduling scheme by optimal emergency control that considers the risk-based dynamic security constraint and reactive power constraints is proposed. The proposed strategy can avoid subsequent N-k-1 contingencies in the harsh environment by changing the generating capacity of the generator and the operation state of the MMC. The simulation results from studies on a 10-machine-39-bus power system have been demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2022 IEEE.

Nowadays, the optimally developed system design has been important with the improvement of the technology. The mathematical model approach with the proper controller design provides a more efficient system with its outputs, as well. One of the complex structures is the alpha type Stirling motor in which it is used to control two independent pistons for gaining more power and but makes controlling its dynamics difficult due to its complex structure dynamics in terms of heat and mechanics interactions. In addition to these difficulties, it must be required to design optimal control via system dynamics perspectives because of the characteristics of four different phases. Due to these reasons, in this study, nonlinear Lyapunov-based optimal control for alpha type stirling engine was performed by combining ideal thermodynamic and mechanic equations. The suggested controller was tested under the different reference motor velocities by calculating optimal heat energy consumption via the control rule. After designing two cascade controllers, both mechanical and heat system controls were achieved to optimize heat energy consumption for different motor velocities. It was proved that the proposed method attained high performance for reference tracking of alpha Stirling motor velocities by interacting heat-mechanical system dynamics modeling via Lyapunov control theory. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper studies formation reconstruction problem for multi-spacecraft with collision avoidance. Firstly, the virtual velocity for desired formation is designed based on the artificial potential field (APF) approach. An adaptive potential field for collision avoidance is proposed to enable the spacecraft to adjust the repulsion force automatically when implementing the collision avoidance strategy. An auxiliary function is introduced to solve the local minimum problem without destabilizing the multiple spacecraft system. Then, we propose a new adaptive finite-time reconfiguration controller, which can achieve fully distributed formation under collision avoidance. The stability of the multiple spacecraft system is proved by Lyapunov analysis. Meter reading recognition is an essential indispensable part of intelligent grid inspection systems. However, due to limitations in the installation angles of monitoring cameras, captured images often suffer from angle issues, thereby reducing recognition accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes a two-stage detection and recognition algorithm based on YOLOv7-tiny and DCNN networks. Firstly, the key point detection algorithm of YOLOv7 is improved by adding the EVC module, which enables the model to extract image features more comprehensively. Utilizing the Wingloss loss function, key point detection of meter reading regions is achieved. Then, perspective transformation is performed on the meter reading regions based on key point coordinate information to correct the images. Secondly, the deep convolutional neural network (DCNN-CTC) algorithm is employed for text recognition in images. Through extensive experiments with actual meter data, the results indicate that compared to YOLOv5 and CRNN methods, the proposed approach can recognize various meter reading information from different shooting angles with an increased accuracy rate of 5.8%. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigates the application of neural network formulas, supported by statistical basic analysis techniques and machine learning, to forecast the monthly electricity consumption of large industrial consumers in a specific province. Firstly, we utilize the SARIMA model, GM (1,1) model, and LSTM neural network model to individually forecast electricity consumption based on data collected from January 2016 to December 2022. Subsequently, we combine these three models using a weighted technique to create a comprehensive forecasting model. Finally, we evaluate the performance of the model by assessing the maximum prediction error and employing the MAPE analysis criteria. The results demonstrate that the combined model outperforms the alternative models, indicating its superior prediction accuracy. Therefore, the combined model can be effectively employed as a forecasting technique for large industrial consumers in the region to predict electricity consumption for the 12-month period of 2023. This article investigates an adaptive bipartite consensus tracking control algorithm for a class of heterogeneous nonaffine nonlinear multiagent systems (MASs) with prescribed finite-time tracking performance under an unbalanced communication topology. In the case of an unbalanced digraph, a novel locally optimal bipartition strategy is proposed to transform the unbalanced communication topology into a structurally balanced one, thereby enabling the implementation of bipartite consensus tracking control. To achieve the expected tracking performance, the design philosophy focuses on developing a prescribed finite-time performance function (PFTPF), capable of preassigning the convergence time and accuracy precisely beforehand. The explored adaptive control algorithm can ensure that the whole signals concerning the closed-loop MASs remain bounded while the bipartite consensus errors converge to a predetermined range around zero within the prescribed finite time. Ultimately, the simulation results on robotic systems prove the availability of the developed design solution. © 2013 IEEE.

In this paper, an automatic measurement method for the length and width information of irregular slender strip with bifurcated structures is proposed. This method is based on morphology, performing pixel extraction and computation, and has the characteristics of fully considering structural features in the measurement process, being unaffected by bifurcation interference, and outputting quantitative measurement results. By utilizing distance transformation, skeleton extraction, topological structure construction of nodes, generation of connection graph models, calculation of the longest path, and superimposition of distance information, the length and width of irregular structures are obtained. After practical application of this method to image measurement cases, it is evident that this method can effectively obtain key structural information of irregular slender strip bifurcated structures. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Brittle-plastic evolution mechanism and crack propagation behavior of fluormica glass-ceramics during scratching

The application of fluormica glass-ceramics in fields such as new energy, precision instruments, and aerospace necessitates stringent requirements for their ultra-precision manufacturing. However, the ambiguity surrounding the transition threshold between brittleness and toughness in fluormica glass-ceramics, coupled with the characteristics of crack propagation, poses significant challenges to the accuracy and efficiency of their manufacture. Therefore, an in-depth study of the brittle-ductile evolution, surface damage characteristics, and crack propagation behavior of fluormica glass-ceramics is crucial for enhancing its quality and manufacturing efficiency. This study employed the Smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and Finite element (FE) method to investigate the properties of fluormica glass-ceramics, further elucidating their brittle-ductile evolution mechanism and crack growth characteristics. As the scratching depth increases, a transition is observed from pure plastic removal to shear-crack removal, eventually leading to brittle removal. Reducing scratching depth and increasing scratching speed can effectively hinder crack propagation, facilitate the transformation of mixed-mode cracks into mode II cracks, and shift workpiece removal from tensile stress failure to shear failure. Scratch tests were conducted to delve into the impact of process parameters on brittle-ductile evolution, crack growth, and surface damage. The results verified the model. With increasing scratching depth, the layered tearing structure after scratching undergoes transitions from plastic removal to cracking and eventually complete brittle spallation. This study advances the understanding of surface damage and crack growth in fluormica glass-ceramics, providing valuable theoretical guidance for achieving high-quality and efficient material surface processing. © 2025

The integration of industrial Internet,cloud computing,and big data technology is changing the business and management mode of the industry ***,the industry chain is characterized by a wide range of fields,complex environment,and many factors,which creates a challenge for efficient integration and leveraging of industrial big *** at the integration of physical space and virtual space of the current industry chain,we propose an industry chain digital twin(DT)system framework for the industrial *** addition,an industry chain information model based on a knowledge graph(KG)is proposed to integrate complex and heterogeneous industry chain data and extract industrial ***,the ontology of the industry chain is established,and an entity alignment method based on scientific and technological achievements is ***,the bidirectional encoder representations from Transformers(BERT)based multi-head selection model is proposed for joint entity–relation extraction of industry chain ***,a relation completion model based on a relational graph convolutional network(R-GCN)and a graph sample and aggregate network(GraphSAGE)is proposed which considers both semantic information and graph structure information of *** results show that the performances of the proposed joint entity–relation extraction model and relation completion model are significantly better than those of the ***,an industry chain information model is established based on the data of 18 industry chains in the field of basic machinery,which proves the feasibility of the proposed method.

Since the onset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, modern industrial plants have become increasingly complex, leading to a growing demand for specialized information systems to manage their operations. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a popular tool which can be used to manage physical assets maintenance in a factory. While the current implementations of CMMS in small and medium specialized manufacturing plants improves many aspects of maintenance operations such as increased productivity, better planning, there are many enhancements that could be made in term of efficiency, extensibility,... This paper proposes a CMMS solution that, in addition to typical CMMS main features, focus on creating an open interface following ISA-95 for easy integration into other manufacturing management systems and enterprise level software, as well as improving user productivity through the use of automatic scheduling based on Tabu Search algorithm. The results from a plastic manufacturing plant indicate that the proposed solution can significantly reduce scheduling efforts while maintaining scheduling constraints and quality. © 2024 IEEE.
